Awful customerservice
Awful customerservice. I've ordered a set of brakelevers, only received the left lever. Made a ticket, which took them 2 weeks to reply to, after the wait this is the reply I've gotten: "Thank you for your inquiry.
Unfortunately, we were unable to provide you with a professional response within our usual response time. Your inquiry is now over 7 days old, and we assume that your issue has since been resolved elsewhere.
If this is not the case, please reply briefly to this email, and we will promptly provide you with the necessary answer." On top of that I've scheduled a call with them for 9:45 this morning, 0 calls have been received on my end. Drop dead awful.

The prices offered by bike-components…
The prices offered by bike-components are excellent, but I think that they need to be more helpful in showing the likely additional costs that the buyer will face upon delivery. UK is a big market for them and an assessment of total costs including duty, VAT and handling fee would be helpful. As an illustration, I paid bike-components £187 for the goods plus an additional £68 to Parcelforce (over 36% uplift). This meant that, whilst still being reasonable value, the buyer has no idea of the final cost when ordering and has a long delivery time - in my case it took 11 days from order to delivery.

Thank you for your feedback. Since the UK is no longer part of the EU, customs duties can apply when importing goods. This is completely not in our hands and depends on items and value.
In addition to the publicly available information from your local authorities, we also mention this fact in our FAQ, as well as during the checkout right next to the "Buy now" button.
Frameset was missing forks and…
Frameset was missing forks and components. Only option given by bike-components was to return and they promised a refund on my postage costs of £127. I had to raise a dispute through PayPal to get the refund for the frameset as they weren’t communicating . Had to then chase HMRC for refund on duty and VAT paid after bike-components said that would be automatically refunded. I have been chasing them for 7 months now trying to just get back what is rightfully owed to me. Lost count of the emails back and forth now. Lost count of how many times they’ve been adamant it has been refunded only for them to have to admit it hasn’t yet again. I wouldn’t recommend this company.

Show transparency with delivery company
I am their long term customer but the latest order was sent by GLS currier. there is no transparency while ordering to have an insight which company will deliver the package. GLS ,of course, could not deliver the package that was on the way for delivery. Last moment changes. There is no notification about where the package is. Sad to see bike components destroying their reputation with unreliable curriers. These kind of mistakes never happened with DHL .

Terrible warranty service
After just one year of use, the Specialized Chisel frame I purchased from Bike-Components cracked. I initially wasn’t too worried, since Specialized offers a lifetime frame warranty. Unfortunately, the warranty process through Bike-Components has been a nightmare.
I reported the issue at the end of July and promptly provided the extra photos they requested. They said they would contact Specialized for a replacement, but nearly two months later I still have no update, no bike to ride, and no meaningful response from their support team.
This is a very disappointing experience and shows a clear lack of respect for customers.

Vast selection and fast delivery time
The best bike shop!
I have been shopping from Bike-Components for the last 10 years or so. The quality standard has been consistently high, I always keep coming back.
Amazing selection, you can find everything you need related to bicycles, from parts (even ones based on older technology) to equipment and accessories.
Always extremely fast delivery, and it's not even expensive. Delivery to Croatia/Slovenia in 2-3 days for 15-20 EUR, depending on the order size.
