i have had the car just over a year, and the clutch has now gone and the extended warranty are trying everything in their power not to pay for it. they did not make me aware that warranty does not cover wear and tear which is nonsense due to the fact they sell 2nd hand cars, the damage is not from wear and tear however they are not paying as they think it is . DO NOT DO THE EXTENDED WARRANTY its a scam!!!

I bought my first car in the UK from this dealership yesterday, here are my thoughts.
I am deducting a star and giving BIG 4/5 rating for two reasons:
1. If the customer wishes to get a presales AA car inspection, they need to pay a non-refundable £500 to take the car off the market and await the inspection. You do have the option to reserve for 4 days (including reservation day) for £99, but you are not allowed to get AA to inspect it during this time as per 2 separate BIG sources (one in-person, the other over phone support). - Better would be to give the option for an independent inspection to customers who are willing to pay for it.
2. The dealership includes their 200-point inspection with each car,,, however, many of the 200 points do not apply to all vehicles (checks for stuff/parts/features that is not there), and the 200-point inspection does not count as a vehicle service towards manufacturer warranty. - Would be much better if it counted as a service,,, not sure how feasible that is though.
Apart from the above points, my experince with 2 BIG branches, and buying from one of them, all has been pretty seamless.
Their website is easy to navigate and has lots of useful information, their lots have many options, and prices are middle of the road where you want them.
Shoutout to Will the salesman who gave me the opportunity to talk through my interests, all the time I wanted to see a couple of my top picks, offered me the dealership's add-ons with a comprehensive breakdown of the quotes, and facilitated the first half of the paperwork. Attentive and accommodating, friendly and professional throughout.
Shoutout Jay who handled the payment with ease, Emily and James who did the final checklist and handover.
Shoutout Fanel, the salesman at BIG Norwich for an excellent appointment last week.

Happy with my car and they were all very polite.
Massively try to upsell warranties which are double what you would expect to pay at another company such as warrantywise. I ended up getting 12months for the price of 10 as I did still want some form of warranty but wasn’t paying their huge price markup.
Even when paying outright for the car they tried to push me to finance, obviously because of their commission and then probed me a lot on my finances and how I got the money (which was very intrusive).
I bought an EV and sales man refused to charge it before I left which annoyed me as I had a 200mile trip home, but luckily another member of staff charged it for me as he could see I was quite annoyed at that as I wasn’t local.
Was told it would take an hour to valet before I drive away but definitely was not cleaned. (If it was it definitely wasn’t a valet, just a quick hoover and not washed)
What I thought would be 2 hours with a test drive, sales pitch and drive away turned out to be 4.5hours. Another family had been there 6.5hours!
Soo many forms and checking who you are and they are in and out of the office over and over and over. Receptionists to greet you, salesman show you the car and agree pricing (but they have to go check with their manager), then accounts person to purchase from, then dispatch person to hand over the keys.. all double checking forms and who you are and going over the forms again. Takes soo long! One person could have done all of it.
I spoke to a total of 6 different people for various things through the purchase.
You are just sat there on your own for a long time!!
Happy with my car and would buy from them again but it writes off an entire day. Do not plan to buy a car in the morning and do something in the afternoon!

We were served by Riz & Andrew.
Riz showed us quite a few cars but he was then busy with another customer. Andrew took over & he was an exceptional advisor. He was very attentive, helpful, knowledgeable & experienced. Highly recommend.
Towards the end of day we were helped by Callum to finalise the paperwork. He also was very helpful & efficient.
Thank you to all that made our day pleasant.

Was interested in a few cars available so booked appointment for 16:00. I was advised to not be late as I could loose the slot. Arrived arrived 5 mins early and asked to take a seat. After waiting 25 mins I went back to ask how much longer they would be. I was the advised there was 3 people in front of me. Some one else was just leaving as they had been waiting 1 hour 40 mins. On arrival you should be advising potential customers if there is a delay to the appointment time. Don't make everyone wait until they have had enough and decide to leave. Booking appointments is useless when you are still operating like it's a walk in service and just waiting in the queue for the next sales person to be free. I definitely won't be going there again. If this is what is called customer service I dread to think what it will be like when actually making a purchase.

Made an appointment at Camberley store on a Sunday was told not to be late or space given away. Turn up 10 mins early. Waited half an hour in waiting area asked when we would be seen advised would be another 1 hour 45 mins by which time store would be closed! Reception did not advise of delay and were very rude and unhelpful. We were not the only people to walk out!

Bought a car in October 2025, realised there was a noise coming from rear of vehicle. A little research told me it was a manufactuers fault on the rear drive shafts. What followed was the worst customer service experience I have ever had and it is still not resolved.
Reporting the fault, I was booked in for a diagnotic at the Camberly branch. While I waitied they came to the same conclusion that it was the rear drive shafts that needed to be replaced as they were faulty. They told me they would call me the same day or the next day to tell me whether they would fix the issue, depending on the cost, or exchange the car for another. No call came.
For 2 months I called everyday on average 2-3 times without being able to get through to the Camberly branch, always being routed to their HO and them trying to get through also without any luck! Their own HO cannot contact their own branches! One week while I was on annual leave I called Mon-Fri every hour of their opening time, they simply do not pick up the phones to customers or HO. I requested to speak to a manager and they said one would call me back in 48 hours, 2 months later still nothing!
I emailed their Big Assist team about 30 times regarding this, still without any resolution as they cannot get in contact with the Camberley branch either by phone or email.
Finally the Camberley service team called me to book me in for the repair. Great News! Except they didn't actually book me in, they just forgot to book me in as soon as they ended the call! They did say that if I wanted to change the booking to just call them. I stated I have called your branch around 100 times and have been unable to get through, they stated "yea we are busy". I then asked, "how should I call you then?" they stated "we are busy" without even an apology and no solution to contact them. They stated to contact Big assist, which has been a month now since trying to book the vehicle as obviously they cannot even contact the branch or are unable to book anything themselves.
Now 4 months of struggling to contact them to book in the repair and still nothing. The worst and most shocking service I have ever experienced in my life. They don't care about after sales service, or if they sell defective unroad worthy vehicles which is illegal. I am now over £1000 out of pocket due to all this and with still no resolution. Stay away from them!

Good choice of cars, helpful staff and no hard sell

Car supermarket Big Motoring World is a large group with a large number of cars at affordable prices. Their part exchange calculator on their website is excellent it told me my car would be between £4100 and £4900, therefore I took it to Webuyanycar and got £5200. Weekends are very busy and parking was limited at Camberley. A pre-booked appointment was made to see the car I had seen online. Reception warned me it was about 45 minutes wait and we helped ourselves to free coffee and sat at our designated table. For an hour no one spoke to us. Then followed the worst experience I have ever had. The car was poorly prepped and looked like someone had simply run a sponge over it. We noted 3 points of exterior damage that could have easily been sorted in their 200 point check and one internal electrical fault. The test drive proved the car handled well and the young sales person sat it the back on his phone. When we got back there’s a room where the sales team stand, a possible tactic to pretend that they are trying to do something. In truth they don’t do anything at all during the 3 hour process apart from make the whole process painful. This is no haggle sales, they won’t change prices, fix faults, or flex, therefore the sales team are redundant.
It would be far better to replace the school leavers and former dealerships car salesmen with positive customer service advisors who guide you through a series of questions and forms that either helps you quickly buy the car or thanks you for coming and moves onto the next person.
Less staff, more sales, happier customers .
What they save some of it can be invested into better preparation work and a weekend technician who’s available for quick tweaks.
Our young sales person was putting me off as he didn’t seem interested, so an older salesman took over. He proceeded to make it even worse and at one point said we sell cheap cars and sometimes you either buy it or not even if it’s broken. Watching him waffle about this isn’t something we cover or how different it used to be in their good old days at main dealerships is just annoying.
I’d rather have turned up and spent 15 minutes signing the purchase papers with the receptionist. I’d probably have bought all the warranty’s off her too.
In conclusion don’t haggle, avoid weekends, and all car supermarkets need to get rid of sales people and replace them with quick and simple purchase admin and better vehicle prep.
You will get a cheap car here, but there are other car supermarkets who will at least prepare the car first so it looks immaculate.

Sales advisor spoke to my husband instead of me despite me asking questions and being the one purchasing the vehicle. Sales advisor not knowledgeable on the vehicle in question in relation to the recall or the oil spec.
Decided to at least view the vehicle and as soon as you opened the doors the smell of smoke was overwhelming.

Plenty of choice and amazing place with modern clean facilities more like a bank. Seamless way to buy a car.

Very wide range of cars and comfortable guest area to browse vehicles. The wait time can be very long, even with an appointment. My first sales rep was knowledgeable and attentive but the second one had no knowledge of any vehicle and couldn't be bothered. Prices are competitive.

Popped in on easter Monday, we didnt book an appointment as nothing I saw on the website said about booking an appointment. We saw reception, who took our details and said there was an hours wait to see a salesman, or we could look around the cars. I asked if we could look around while we waited, but that wasn't allowed. Even though I had given my mobile number as part of the sign in process (someone could call or text when they came free, surely!).
Can't fault the salesman at all, really down to earth, no pressure to buy any extras we didnt want, and very knowledgeable on the cars we saw.
Collecting the car, I was scheduled for 11am, and I arrived 5 mins early. I was seen after 25 minutes by the finance team to finalise a few bits. And the waited another 20 minutes to actually collect the car. The staff member apologised for keeping me waiting and asked how long I had been there, when I said 40 mins, she was surprised it had gone that quickly.
