The staff, especially Toby and Rhys, are wonderful. They welcome you cheerfully and nothing is too much trouble. I cannot praise them enough.
The facilities, particularly the number of lockers with broken locks, can be mildly irritating but, I understand, the new management are planning refurbishments.

Better have made a great start in dealing with the minor silly problems the lido was suffering with. Retaining the previous staff and merging with new staff members has worked really well ..thank you

Better.org has just taken over Wycombe Rye Lido. They have repainted, repaired and re-signed key areas to freshen the place up. Staff are as good as ever. Sign in uses their mobile app so no worries about finding your membership card. Slight downside is their app doesn’t connect with mobile calendar; latter gives you reminders and fits alongside other appointments.

Its been a bit neglected before they took over but they seem to be trying to sort out some of the equipment and resumed the service quickly. I did nt give them five stars yet as there are still areas like changing rooms that will need to be takled at some point. So far so good

In the short time since Better have taken over Wycombe Lido there has been a noticeable improvement in the facility. Maintenance has taken place and plans in place for further steps. I feel they are taking positive steps.

After taking over the Lido, in less than one week they have cleaned the whole place thoroughly and started to repair things that need mending. The staff are really friendly accommodating and seem engaged with the job in hand (not bored). And the way the high demand for swimming (over the heat waves) has been handled is really impressive. The pool never feels over full or our of control ( whereas it often did under previous management.)

Smoothly run gym ,with an easy booking system. Plenty of exercise class choices and helpful staff

On the whole, it is quite frustrating to use their online booking system (I don't have space for apps on my phone) to book fitness classes at my local gym, particularly when the classes are popular and you have to be added to a waitlist, then respond immediately after being notified the space is available by logging in to grab it, only to find it is already gone. I have complained about this as it does not work for customers as well as the previous system of telephone notification when a space becomes available, as missing out frequently on my chosen sessions means I do not feel I am getting the value of the cost of my membership. In response to my complaint about this, the customer service rep advised me I must try to book 6 days in advance to get a space, which really isn't terribly practical especially when they also fine you £3 for any missed session, which again never happened before under the previous management. Although the customer service rep said she understood my frustration, she also expressed indifference as to whether I would continue as a customer. Therefore I don't see that this company actually cares about its customers or their health and fitness needs, it just seems to exist for its own financisl benefit - not really what you'd expect from something billed as a 'charity'.

Terrible login process and app. The transfer of my membership from fusion to better, was definitively not a better experience, and a terrible intro to better. Let’s hope they live up to the Better name, so far no evidence of that

I love the pool on the rye but the changing facilities in general are pretty awful. Lockers are all broken and the floor is dirty and always wet. There needs to be someone cleaning the facility consistently for you to maintain good levels of hygiene and please sort the lockers out.

I have just become a member of Wycombe Rye Lido. Better has taken it on, as it went into liquidation. It would have been a huge community loss if it had been shut. The main problem is the maintenance of the building, or lack of it. Needs a complete overhaul, costs money and needs investment, which we are starting to slowly see with Better. The previous staff have been supported by Better Colleagues in the transition period. So helpful and smiling 😊 I have found the team. Thank you for keeping Wycombe Rye Lido and Making it Better 🌟
