Figures
The lying, excuses, and bs they give you is enough to make you write up a poor review like I'm doing. I received the wrong figure and I first chatted with "Sean" who insisted my figure was more valuable than the one I ordered. That is beside the point. I continued to explain that they still sent the wrong item. His logic was that I should send the wrong one back out of my pocket. Um, no. He even told me he wasn't able to send me a free return label directly to my email, which is a lie. He linked a return label in the chat that didn't even work.
I then called customer support where a female agent seemingly understood my quandary, even so much as arranging for a free return and a virtual shopper to make sure the correct item was sent in its place. So, she transfers me to this virtual shopper and she sees the figure and arranges to have it sent to me by (again) transferring me to this guy who insists again I must send my figure back on my dime, while sending me a link to re-buy the figure. Again-NO!
These people either do not care or they're inept. They really come off as the same scammers that call your house trying to sell you something you already have or never asked for. Hung up on him because he was just spinning his wheels, wasting my time trying to get me to buy something before they'd even send me a free return label.
Called one last time and explained everything all over again. This time I was told I'd be given a refund and that refund has still not processed.
These people are scammers. I will never use Best Buy again for anything.
Great experience with my new laptop purchase
I recently bought a Dell XPS 13 from the laptops section on the site. Finding it was easy; I used the search bar and typed 'Dell XPS 13,' which brought up various models along with prices. I clicked on the product page to read reviews and compare configurations. Eventually, I chose a model with the Intel i7 processor and 16GB RAM.
I added it to my cart and went through the checkout process. There was a small hiccup during payment; my credit card got declined on my first attempt. I contacted customer service through the chat option while I was on the payment page. They responded quickly and guided me through the steps to avoid the issue when I tried again.
After resolving the payment, the shipping was really fast. I got my laptop two days later. Overall, the entire experience was smooth despite the minor payment issue. I’m happy with my purchase and would buy from here again.
I ordered an air purifier from…Best Buy made an undelivered order practically impossible to cancel
I ordered an air purifier from BestBuy.com on July 18 while vacationing in northern Michigan during heavy wildfire smoke. I chose Best Buy because it promised expedited delivery by July 21, and I paid an additional fee.
On July 21, the order was delayed, potentially until August 5, so I called Best Buy to cancel. A representative eventually told me he would process the return, and I ended the call believing it had been handled.
On July 25, I learned that the order had not been canceled. A manager said the earlier representative’s notes stated only that he would “try” to cancel it. The manager then gave me a FedEx tracking number and told me to contact FedEx.
FedEx could determine only that it was a validly formatted number. It was not yet recognized as a shipment in FedEx’s system, so FedEx could not access, cancel or modify it and directed me back to Best Buy.
I called Best Buy again. A representative said she had contacted its “Back Office,” which could cancel the shipment. No cancellation occurred.
On July 28, the package went out for delivery after I had left the vacation property, which would be unoccupied for about a month. FedEx then told me that Best Buy’s shipping restrictions prevented me from canceling or redirecting it. No signature was required, so the package could be left outside an empty house.
Best Buy failed to provide the expedited delivery it sold me, repeatedly failed to stop the shipment, and gave me conflicting information throughout several calls and chats. Its system treated the order as effectively uncancelable before FedEx even recognized the tracking number as a shipment.
I spent hours attempting to resolve something that should have required one cancellation request. I would not rely on Best Buy for a time-sensitive online purchase.
Bait and switch Company
Bait and switch Company. You think you’re buying from Best Buy but you’re not. Don’t expect any Customerservice for any of your purchases on bestbuy.com. They will tell you you purchased from someone else and you have to deal with them. They don’t care about their customers and they’ve completely sold out their company to be misused by unreliable third-party sellers.
Never Best Buy!
Beware buying appliances from Best Buy!!! If they stop working just two weeks later, you won’t get a refund or replacement. You also won’t be allowed to create a review (which means the reviews you see online are not accurate either). Best Buy is refusing to refund or replace my dishwasher that stopped working after just two weeks saying it’s outside their small 15 day return window. After a BBB dispute was started, I heard from Kayden from this corporate office. He had me pay for an upgraded dishwasher. They came and said they couldn’t touch the useless dishwasher as it was hardwired in by the other Best Buy group. Kayden promised again that he would send a team to uninstall it that knows how to work with the hardwiring, but I would have to wait AGAIN. Well Best Buy came and once again said they couldn’t touch it!!! I keep getting the runaround and now no one is responding anymore. I’m still stuck (2 months later now) with a useless dishwasher and still no refund! What a SCAM!
Even if shopping elsewhere, beware purchasing Samsung products!!!!!! Their products almost all have widely known defects (for example, if you do a bit of research you can see that their refrigerators all have known ice maker defects and that their newer TVs all have known screen defects and that their dishwashers - my issue - all have known draining and leaking defects). Then, they refuse to replace or refund their own products unless you go through the painful task of having THREE service appointments, through their repair company called Service Quick, before they will even consider it.
Now to warn you about Service Quick!!! They make you wait several days for an appointment and won’t even give a window of time they will come. Then when they arrived here, they try to go for a quick temporary fix for known issues just so they can get out of there. I am well aware that there is a computer programming issue with my dishwasher, but they decided to just replace the drain pump, which stunk up my house by the way. I told them I had zero confidence that our issue would be resolved that way. Sure enough, less than a week later, the dishwasher stopped draining again. I went through Samsung, again, and they contacted Service Quick, again. I called Service Quick directly as last time Samsung claimed they made an appointment, but didn’t, and I found out that sure enough they didn’t once again. They are making me wait until next week to come out!!!! When I complained about not even being given a window of time, the rude woman on the phone cut me off by yelling at ME and then hung up on me!!!!
So let’s sum up this whole domino affect with a few If Then statement:
If you purchase from Best Buy, they will sell you a lemon and not give you a refund or replacement and will only refer you back to the manufacturer, Samsung.
If you purchase a Samsung product, your item will have known defects and they will waste your time pretending to fix the issue by making you work with their one and only repair company, Service Quick.
If you work with Service Quick, you will have your time wasted with a non-working product and will be yelled at and hung up on by their employees.
Lesson Learned: Don’t buy Samsung and don’t purchase from Best Buy!!!!
I tried to activate a request for a new cell phone on their website
I tried to activate a request for an upgraded cell with my existing provider on their website. They say an agent will call to complete the transaction within 24 to 48 hrs. Contacted them via chat twice to ask when they would call me, as they never did 4 days later. Always promising a call back from an agent. Finally called the customer service line and got a customer service rep that told me to activate the request on the website, which I had already done 4 days prior! She said they would call me back in the next 24 hrs. Also, there was so much background noise from reps talking to other customers that I could barely hear on the phone. This is terrible customer service! I finally decided to cancel the whole thing and purchase my new cell elsewhere. Not impressed at all.
Best Buy Does Not Treat There Customers Correctly
I scheduled an at-home delivery and return pickup for a 65" TV for Saturday, July 25th. The driver never arrived, despite me calling customer service multiple times throughout the day. Even though agents admitted they could not reach the driver, they repeatedly assured me the delivery was still coming. Meanwhile, the live tracking map showed the driver parked at a single residence for over 6 hours.
Because of Best Buy’s poor communication, I wasted an entire Saturday and missed a birthday party. To make matters worse, the only available reschedule date was Tuesday, forcing me to take a day off work just to resolve an issue caused entirely by the company. Best Buy offered no other flexibility or accommodation to remedy this situation. This is completely unacceptable treatment of a customer.
Best Buy Geeksquad Protection...questionable now
I went to best buy today to have my z fold 6 inside screen protector replaced under the Geeksquad full protection warranty as they did for me a year ago because the original also started detaching in the middle. The store seemed pretty calm with staff standing about so I thought it is probably a good day for a warranty repair and not take their time away from sales. My Geeksquad warranty is still active for another year. They then told me they didn't do the inside screen. But I had to tell them that they did at this location last time and it's their screen protector. They checked the system and all good but they said they have to check if they have it now. Then they said that they upgraded their machine and no longer can do this and that they do not have any more of those screen protector that are big enough for my z fold 6 screen size as all of theirs is small and they only have for the z fold 7. But then I thought maybe the z fold 7 screen is pretty much the same size as the z fold 6 but didn't say that to them. They said that Central City Best Buy may have the older machine to help me. They told me to call them. I asked if they might be able call their Central City location. The manager told me to call myself. The other staff called and they she told me they didn't have it. I said I understand but I am hoping to find a way to fix this screen protector because it is so bad that the phone is harder to use and see the stuff being displayed. They kept saying they can't do anything for the warranty and they understand that the warranty covers this but they can't do anything. They then recommended that I take it to Samsung to get it replaced. I asked if it is covered under the warranty and they said no, I will have to pay for it. I thanked them for their time and asked them if they can replace my wife's front cover screen which is also under our warranty. They did. And then the manager asked me if I had seen the latest z fold 8. I wasn't in the mood. My wife and I had opted to buy our phones only from Best Buy because of the Geeksquad full protection plan to give us piece of mind. We bought the phones without the mobility plan to ensure it was unlocked. We often tell others to buy through Best Buy and get their warranty. Not so sure anymore. Disappointed.
Every time I go to Best Buy
Every time I go to Best Buy, the employees working the floor ignore me, and when I ask them for help, they usually have bad attitudes.
Curbside Nightmare
Placed an order for a television to be picked up at curbside. I arrived and checked in and received my number to share with the associate. After 20 minutes of waiting I called the store directly and spoke with customer service and explained that I had been waiting. He proceeded to tell me to come inside to pick it up. I explained I wasn't dressed appropriately. He again insisted I come inside. I told him that I would just cancel the order and he said OK. The lack of customer service was incredible. I will never shop at Best Buy again!

Bought a laptop on 7/14 and still don’t have it. Best Buy says they don’t know where it is and I have to wait 2 weeks to get refunded. How is this legal?
Ordered a couple things from Best Buy…
Ordered a couple things from Best Buy last month. Really happy with the quality. Already browsing for my next purchase.
its not going to be your BEST BUY
(haha get it i did the thing)
wallahi bestbuy plus and total is a scam
terrible deals and somtimes even more expensive than other places like microcenter or amazon or EVEN TARGET (and that says somthing)
Manager not taking the time
We my family and I have bought a lot of things from Best Buy and all have been good except for today I did not check my receipt and they double scan the barcode and charge me twice so I was being calm called in they told me they could take care of it on the phone after 40 minutes on the phone they told me I end up having to go to the store have it taken care of. So I went to the store seen the manager asked him if he had time for me to tell him what was going on and he proceeded to tell me he did not have time to hear what I had to say. So I feel if the store wasn't being robbed or burning down you would have thought he would have had just a little time to hear what I was talking about but he pushed me off.
Pick up the Phone!!
First of all, I called the Geek Squad the day before my appt to see when the 4 hour window for someone to come out and hook up a tv I had previously purchased 6 months ago. No one would answer the phone, and I called numerous times. I finally found a chat line with a real person who gave me my 4 hour time slot. The man called early the next day and came early, which was good. I had already paid $127 including tax for him to hook it up. He took the tv out of the box, put legs on it and placed it on my tv stand. He hooked up the cable connection, and told me it was going to cost me another $106 including tax to take my cable remote and connect it with the tv. I was under the impression that the $127 included everything. I did not feel capable of using the cable remote to finish setting it up so I paid for it. I'm not impressed with the lack of people to pick up the phone at your place. I had to drive down to the store to initially set up the appt for the man to hook up the tv. His name was Paul and he was very nice. I think you need better customer service and better communication. The new tv is working fine and and having no problems with it.
We purchased a GE counter depth frig…
We purchased a GE counter depth frig ... when it was delivered, it didn't function (in fact it got warmer!) ... We arranged to have it returned and received a printed receipt of refund. However, the local Best Buy was UNABLE to access or authorize the actual refund on our credit card. We waited the stated 15days + an additional week before tackling the on-line/AI ruled "customer service" process. Essentially, we simply worked to get to an agent on the phone ... an overseas contractor. In fairness, the individual was helpful ... and they authorized the refund to our credit card within minutes. WHY Can't the local store have access to and the ability to process refunds or changes?? WHY Have a chaotic AI generated on line process?? WHY Have an overseas entity enabled to process our private information?? NEVER AGAIN
I would NOT recommend Best Buy or their…
I would NOT recommend Best Buy or their delivery contractor, Metro Supply Chain Group (5025 Creekbank Road, Mississauga, ON L4W 5R2), for appliance delivery or installation.
After Best Buy's installer botched the installation of my fridge, it took three separate attempts to get it corrected. On what should have been the fix, the installer forced my door knob so violently that he snapped the mechanism entirely — trapping both of us inside my condo. Rather than take responsibility, he destroyed my door handle in the process, then left, leaving me locked inside my own home unable to get out.
This isn't a minor delivery hiccup — it's property damage and a safety failure caused by a contractor Best Buy chose to represent them in customers' homes. Three failed attempts to install a fridge correctly is bad enough. Breaking a customer's door and walking away after locking them inside is inexcusable.
If you're considering Best Buy for appliance delivery or installation, know that this is the level of care and accountability you may be dealing with. I would not trust them in my home again.
Verification system stopped me from purchasing
Ordered $6k worth of equipment a few months ago for store pickup. It arrived on time but I was not able to make it to the store and they cancelled my order at the end of the day. I called right away, agent said it's a verification issue, but helped me reorder right away. The next day, woke up with the order being cancelled again. Called and was told they couldn't verified me since I didn't respond to their verification call/email. I never got any call or email from Best Buy regarding to verification. Then I was told to create a brand new account with new name, all new info so the verification is not a problem. Guess what, this third try is still getting verified. I waited the whole day today and my order is sitting in the story but they just wouldn't let me pick up. I could use the product that day already! So I went to B&H and ordered everything and it will come by next day! No hassle!
I understand BB is trying to prevent suspicious activities and protect customers. But it doesn't make sense that the staff can't verify it, only the system can. And no body in the call center seems to know what the system actually needs in order to pass the verification… After I spent 2 whole days, calling 10+ time and basically begging them that I'm real person, I gave up. And I probably won't come back o Best Buy ever again in the future.
I think one star is a generous rating for Best Buy
I think one star is generous. When I bought a Samsung Phone at Best Buy, I asked if the Protection Plan covered having the Geek Squad switch my data from the old phone to the new phone. I was told that it did. After waiting well over an hour for Geek Squad (yes, I was a walk-in) member, I was told the Protection Plan would not cover it. I spoke with a manager who said it was policy. I was lied to by the Samsung saleman about the protection policy Since that Policy money goes to Best Buy, if Best Buy cared at all about customers, their policy would be to give me a managerial override. Their customer service is the worst of any store I have gone to. When they told me they could switch my data for $40.00, I literally laughed. It took me a long time, but I used Smart Switch. t. They could improve by taking lessons in customer service from Publix. They do not care about their customers and I don't think they will change. Besides, a restocking fee for something they probably sell as open box or at their outlet is another way to bleed the customer and discourage exchanges. That charge is the only reason I kept the phone.
We bought a laptop and scheduled Geek Squad
We bought a new laptop and told the salesman we wanted the Geek Squad to come out and set up the new computer and transfer documents from the old one. He set us up for a membership instead which we bought because we didn’t know that didn’t cover the Geek Squad. He should have known though! We went to schedule our service in the store and found out the mistake. So, we had to get a refund for the wrong service and instead paid for the tech to come to the house which we scheduled. We waited two weeks for a tech and got an email stating they would be out from 2-4. That went by and called customer support only to be told it would be from 4-7 now. She stated she promised he would be there by 7. Well, 7:30 rolled around and no tech. Called again only to be told he went home and it would have to be rescheduled. I never received any text or call about being late or rescheduled after I waited for 7 1/2 hours. Virtually all day! The support then told me I’d have to wait 2 more weeks for the tech to come out. I asked her when they planned on telling me that. And all I got was I understand your frustration. So, we took the computer back for a refund. Very poor service! Will never buy from there again.
