Legendary
Legendary app, legendary company. I work in the app day in and day out. It’s very full featured at this point. Customer support is amazing. Several times I have requested bug fixes or even whole new features, and had my wishes granted. I’d recommend beehiiv for nearly any creator or media business.

The only option for building an engaged audience and make money
I've never seen a product that ships as much and as often as beehiiv. Their product is beautiful, powerful, and the best in class. They have helped me grow as a creator, make money, and build a very engaged audience. Don't waste your time with Substack.

Easy Publishing with Growth & Monetization Options
I have loved using beehiiv to launch my own newsletter, easily monetize it, build a website and even offer downloadable products for sale.
I love the various monetization options like paid newsletter subscriptions, products and the ads network. It's easy to get up and running quickly with beehiiv and having subscribers really motivates me to keep publishing consistently.

Unreliable Platform: Account Blocked Without Reason
Beehiiv blocked my account before I even sent a single email, and they did so without providing any specific reason. Their public reply here is extremely generic and misleading. They claim the block was due to a “violation of Terms of Use,” but they never explained what supposedly happened , because nothing happened. I had zero subscribers imported, zero emails sent, and had only just created the account. Instead, they demanded a surprising amount of personal information (Twitter profile, LinkedIn profile, a detailed explanation of my business, my list-cleaning strategy, etc.). In Germany, users are not required to hand over personal social profiles or internal business processes just to use a newsletter tool. Their verification demands went far beyond normal industry practice.
This is not a relationship any creator wants to enter, being blocked first, interrogated second.
What this means for your future:
❓ What happens when you DO have 1,000+ subscribers and they randomly lock your account?
❓ What if they demand proof of opt-in for subscribers you collected legitimately?
You're building a relationship asset. Don't build it on a platform that's already shown they'll pull the rug out unpredictably.
For transparency:
I moved my newsletter to another platform. For me it was a huge redflag. Beehiiv’s answer here tries to make it sound like users are always at fault, but in my case, nothing happened except their automated system flagging a brand-new account with no activity. If this is how they treat new creators, people deserve to know.

Quick response, explained it clearly, and even fixed my issues inside the dashboard.

Don't even think about using Beehiiv. They are not good anymore.
Support is slow, despite giving them multiple proofs, they still think I am sending cold emails using their platform to my subscriber list of 14,000 people though they are all real subscribers and I consistantly get 40% open rate + I am not stupid enough to use Beehiiv for cold emails using one single sending domain.
Support takes 7+ days to respond, despite me being on one of the higher paid plans.
Overall, a shitty experience. They were very good when they started, not anymore.

They are hands down the best newsletter service out their. Their tools for design kick butt! On top of that, they make monetization a breeze. They refreshingly just want to help creators, not take a cut of everything like other platforms.

The onboarding was extremely easy and intuitive.
The best part, by far, is the support. Reach out to them with any question or issue, they will make you feel like a queen, they are just that good. You can tell it's an incredible team.

They are the home for a lot of financial scammers. I receive a lot of emails that come from them. These scammers will bomb your inbox all day and if you click on the email, a few minutes later, your receive two more emails. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BEEHIIV.

God tier customer support
Not only is the functionality excellent, customer support is incredible. I think this is one of the biggest differentiations for SaaS tool retention that isn't talked about enough. I worked asynchronously with the support team exchanging screen recordings to solve a complex automation issue. They were extremely thoughtful and responsive. Excellent experience. Highly recommend.

I will continue to file reports like this across every reputation platform until their leadership take their company and their responsibilities seriously. The CO-Founder is a graduate of Clemson. Easy to send posts, but website builder is buggy
Like the ease of sending out content. But website builder is buggy, not always intuitive - support videos are out of date and reference the old website builder and frustratingly user support is slow/doesn't reply. As an eg. my website builder has no scroller to move up and down the pages - so im frustratingly left with sections that I just can't view or edit. Sometimes I can find a work around, other times the workaround doesn't work. I've logged an issue via the Support email, had 1 reply then they ghosted me.
There have been other weird annoying buggy aspects too. As well as lack of intuitive navigation.
I've spent way too many hours trying to perform basic tasks. Considering cancelling as a result. A shame.

Beehiiv is super easy to use
Beehiiv is super easy to use, and I love how much you can customize and design your newsletters exactly the way you want. The team is really responsive and open to feedback through their Slack Community, and it’s exciting to see them consistently launching new features. My only wish is that ad placements improve a bit in the future, since the current options can feel a little limited or repetitive. Overall, it’s a really solid platform that makes creating newsletters simple and enjoyable, and I appreciate how invested the team is in making it better.

Beeviiv is A-OK
I'm still pretty new to Beeviiv. It's my first crack at publishing a newsletter (1900scrime.com). I've written a published novel and a business book and was a newspaper sports reporter in Minneapolis in the early eighties and I'm finding this to be different and fun.
Beehiiv was easy to get started on. My goal is to get to the 2,500 subscriber level and justify a move up to the first paid tier and give me a few more tools to work with.
I would recommend Beehiiv to anyone looking to start a newsletter.
