Missing item but no replies

Their “ready to ride” set up service is misleading. The premium service you pay for is for the main bike frame only and doesn’t include any optional extras you may purchase from them. Expect hours of assembly time if you want to pay for extras like the clubhouse on a tern bike

Disappointing experience
I ordered a Tern e-bike online and had it delivered. It was collected by the courier 4 days after 'dispatch', on the day I was initially told it would be delivered.
When it arrived, there was no multitool in the box to turn the handlebars and the battery in the display was dead (I assume it drained in storage). After I replaced the battery, the display kept turning off while riding so I rang customer support. They told me to take it to take it to a local Tern dealer who should fix it under warranty, or they could arrange shipping back to one of their stores to take a look. Five minutes on Google told me it was a problem with the mount and I managed to sort it myself.
Overall, a disappointing experience and I question how thoroughly they are checking the bikes if they didn't notice the display needed a new battery.

Balfes kept me up-to-date with my order, good communication, accomodated and executed a change of delivery plan with the carrier.
Overall a good customer experience, although negative was the box was signicantly damaged with a split bottom. Bike appears to be OK.
