I cannot speak highly enough of the service I received at Axis Podiatry Ltd. Lindsay’s expertise, professionalism, and care were evident from the very first consultation. Several years ago, she meticulously assessed my biomechanics and expertly fitted me with custom orthotics that went on to support me through three marathons. The improvement in both my performance and recovery was remarkable — a direct testament to her knowledge and attention to detail.
Given the lasting impact of her work, it was an absolute no-brainer to return as a repeat customer when I required a new pair. She genuinely listens, takes the time to understand your goals, and offers solutions that are not only clinically sound but genuinely effective. Lindsay’s work has had a profound and lasting impact on my running, and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, reliable, and personable podiatrist.

Lindsay has got me running again after a persistent foot injury that wasn't improving, even with prolonged time out from running.
On her advice l invested in her custom orthotics which have been fantastic and I can now run without pain.
She has been very generous with her advice on how to build back up to running and has even given me advice on trainers.
It's refreshing to speak to somebody that understands the importance of running. I am a woman in my 40's and chose to see Lindsay from reading about her on her website. I was hoping she would be understanding and supportive and she hasn't disappointed.

I have quite a few issues with my right foot, a failed bunion op leading to sone arthritis under by big toe and Morton’s Neuroma.very painful and seriously limiting my mobility

I was advised by a orthopaedic surgeon to try orthotics and I was sceptical !

However, they have truly changed my life over the past year and a half. I now have virtually no pain ( unless I change shoes and forget to swap the insoles ) . I can easily walk up to 8 miles now and no pain at all

Lindsay was brilliant and the process to build the orthotic you need is very thorough. I’m now getting a second set but the originals are still in pretty good shape

I went to see Lindsay at Axis Podiatry after suffering several months of pain and inflammation at the base of my Achilles. This was stopping me from hiking, running, dancing – basically all the things I love. Lindsay performed a thorough examination of my foot, gait and posture and looked into my medical history. She diagnosed the problem immediately and prescribed some orthotic insoles, which have been brilliant. Although I am not yet back to running, I am dancing and I did manage to climb Mount Fuji in the summer which was amazing and something I didn't think I would be able to do - thank you, Lindsay!

Axis podiatry have been wonderful for my son’s foot issues! Lindsay completed a full medical examination and gait analysis and made recommendations. We invested in custom made soles which have been a godsend. Dr Lindsay provides excellent care and follow up, would highly recommend.

After meeting with Lindsay from Axis Podiatry for a consultation and wearing my bespoke, orthotic soles for 18 months now, my only regret is I didn’t get the referral sooner!! To finally meet a Medical Consultant who truly understood the pain I was constantly suffering with, was a godsend. Dr. Lindsey Hill was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the condition of my feet and performed many different tests to see how my feet operated in different walking paces. Being an elite athlete having such great orthotics meant that many injuries I suffered from due to my hips, feet and legs were all kept to a minimum after using these customised orthotics.

I was recommended to Lindsay 3 years ago to resolve a long standing foot problem. She thoroughly dealt with the issue and fitted me with custom orthotics. Throughout the process she was extremely professional, helpful and understanding to my needs.
I have recently had cause to replace them and again the service has been first class. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending to others to use her facilities.

I was recommended Lindsay at Axis podiatry from a fellow outdoors person. For years I had suffered from
Achillies tendonitis periodically after long hikes and didn’t understand why I couldn’t fufill a long hike when I was fit enough. I booked an initial consultation and the moment I stepped through the door at Lindsy’s practice I knew I had come to the right place. The gait analysis was top quality and helped me understand in depth what was causing my discomfort. It was great how this informed the creation of custom inserts. Although these require an initial investment, I have used them on
Well over 100 hikes over the last year. Which means its cost me £3 per Hike to walk in comfort. I have had custom insoles for just under a year now and will never look back!

I saw Lindsay Hill from Axis Podiatry at the beginning of June suffering from Achilles Tendonitis. I found her extremely knowledgeable and she conducted a thorough examination. I have always been flat footed but she also concluded that part of the problem was that my right leg was slightly shorter than my left leg due to an arthritic right knee which prevented me from straightening it fully. She also undertook a gait analysis which confirmed that I needed some custom made orthotics where the heel on the right side was slightly more elevated. After using the orthotics which Lindsay obtained for me I have slowly been increasing the distance I walk to allow my feet to become accustomed to them and I am now pain free and back to playing golf. I would thoroughly recommend Lindsay to anyone with Podiatry issues especially sporting ones.

I’ve experienced Lindsay’s fantastic care from both perspectives now. In my job role as an advanced practitioner physiotherapist I have referred numerous patients to Axis Podiatry over the years for Podiatry/Biomechanical assessment and without exception there has always fantastic feedback from patients.
Whether it’s the high level athlete, the weekend warrior, or the complex/tricky patient condition, Lindsay’s clinical knowledge and assessment coupled with the use of the gait scan technology has given excellent clinical outcomes for patients.
More recently I’ve been on the other side of the treatment table myself with Achilles tendonopathy. Having been assessed by Lindsay I’ve now got some new custom made orthotics which has helped my return to running and helped with other niggles I was experiencing due to my abnormal biomechanics. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I've had problems with my feet, in particular my right foot since my mid twenties. And this has got worse as I got older. I'm now in my early fifties.
I made an appointment with Lindsay and she took extensive measurements on the pressure points on my feet.
She then supplied me with the insoles that I've needed for years.

I had had problems with my feet for over ten years and in the the last year or two my discomfort had increased considerably. I was in pain after just a short walk. I had seen many orthotists and they all had different opinions but none had managed to help me.

This was until I was referred to Lindsay. She took the time to assess my feet and my walking style and to talk about what I needed. And she had the skill to determine what type of insoles would make the difference. Since I started using them I have been able to walk with much less discomfort and to walk further than I have done for a long time.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that Lindsay has made a huge improvement to my quality of life. I would recommed her to anyone.

It’s now been almost 3 years since I first contacted Lindsay about problems I was having with my foot whilst training for a marathon. At the time she diagnosed a 2nd metatarsal stress fracture which after an MRI was confirmed, she also suggested I could be Vit D deficient which was confirmed after a blood test. Lindsay recommended the custom orthotics which I purchased and have never looked back. I've trained for 2 further marathons and completed a virtual ultra last year (43 miles) without any further issue. I have always had lower leg issue when weekly mileage has increased which I've had to see a physio for but since getting the orthotics, these issues have disappeared (I never realised the leg issues were coming from problems with my feet). Lindsay is very professional and provides a great service. I'd never be without these now and have ordered a 2nd pair to keep me going while the old ones go to get a refurb.

I went to Lindsay years ago having suffered from plantar fasciitis. She conducted a gait analysis and ordered me some orthotics. I had been having physio for months before this, but as soon as I started wearing my orthotics all the pain went. Now five years on I am struggling again, but my orthotics are in bits. I contacted her again to ask her advice and she has ordered me some new ones straight away. She said there was no need for another gait analysis, which saved me money, and I received a text to let me know they had arrived less than three weeks later. Can't wait to start wearing them.
