Avatrade is a SCAM

Hi.
Avatrade is a scam. I took a trade and put a stoploss. And yet their platform did not stop my loss when the price went against me.
I asked them about this, they told me that there are no guarantees when it comes to stoploss.
My account was blown as a result, I lost my hard earned cash

AvaTrade has been one of the worst experiences …

AvaTrade has been one of the most frustrating and untrustworthy broker experiences I've had.

I was running a fully automated MT5 Expert Advisor (EA) on AWS, trading live. The first two trades executed perfectly, fills, execution, and stop loss matched my tick backtest exactly, confirming that everything was set up correctly and functioning as expected.

Then things took a very suspicious turn.

On the next three trades, immediately after the positions opened, AvaTrade's server disabled AutoTrading with the error message: "AutoTrading disabled by server".

This happened without warning, without explanation, and without any change on my end.

Every single one of those three trades was a winner from the moment of entry. As designed, the EA attempted to modify the stop loss to lock in profit (move SL above entry), which is basic, standard trade management. Literally 1 minute later the server blocked all stop loss modifications.

Because AutoTrading was forcibly disabled:
- The stop losses could not be adjusted.
- Profits could not be protected.
- Risk management was completely overridden by the broker.

As a direct result, all three trades reversed and were eventually stopped out at the original, unmodified stop loss, turning winning trades into full losses, losses that would not have occurred if AvaTrade had not interfered.

I messaged them and the support provided had no meaningful explanation/accountability ("minor technical issue of the EA"). If a broker can arbitrarily disable AutoTrading mid-trade, traders do not control their own risk.

For anyone running automated strategies, MT4 MT5 EAs, VPS trading or any system requiring dynamic stop loss management... please avoid AvaTrade at all costs.

Good luck

Difficulty making withdrawals had to deposit 20K before ability to withdraw. Then had two withdrawals pending and then had to pay blockchain fees, promised funds in 30 minutes, paid fees, then told I had to pay 6% taxes upfront before transferring to my Coinbase account. Very vague customer service and support. Very disappointing

Good broker with excellent support.

Good broker with excellent support.
I've had a few years of experience with them and didn't have any serious issues. The platform is pretty stable and has several interesting features like insurance for positions. At times they have very interesting offers with discounted spreads and swaps.
Regulation makes trading a pain, but it's this way with any broker.

AVATrade didn't pay me rebate and ignore me!

I was act as your partner,I do my best to bring clients to you,it is my job,I expend my time, and my effort to bring clients.

how ever,I didn't know AVATeade hasn't put client to LP,it wants to have all my client's fund.at last AVATrade suffered loss.

now you didn't want to suffer any loss, you deleted client's profit, and didn't pay to client ,that is not my fault, that's because your risk deparment didn't do anything to aviod your loss.

if you can not suffer loss ,why didn't you put client to LP?how can you just watching client profiting and do nothing ,now client profit ,you didn't want to pay my rebate!how if client loss all their fund, will you pay me extra commission to me?! I don't think so!

whatever,I have did my job to bring you client ,you should pay me rebate!
