I rented a car from Frank auotonoleggio.
It was a very good experience. All my needs were met for renting this car and i would definitely do it all over again. I recommend renting a car from here.

I spent a week in Italy recently with my Family, and we rented with Frank Autonoleggio. They have been so helpful and reliable. We will definitely be renting with them on our next return to Italy.

I rented a car for one day through a platform "do you Italy". In this platform they said everything was included. Frank Autoleggio Airport Catania said that they have their own rules (what the platform sells was not true). After we signed they started about the limited kilometers (50km) and otherwise had to pay a lot per kilometer, our house was in total further, so NOT cheap at all to rent here. I had to rent quickly a car because of our flight canceling for ONE day, this was the only place with availability.
On top of that I had to pay 900 euro deposit. They said I will receive it within 3-28 days depend on my bank. Now 35 days later still not received it on my account, my bank didn't receive it and they don't react on my mails / phone calls. I saw the reviews before but couldn't believe it... because I believed all the companies are the same but NOT!! I feel so ripped off. Please go to another company to rent a car!!

Frank rent a car company is busy deceiving tourists. They do not give any explanation when giving out cars.
They say that the deposit will be returned after returning the car.
They do not return the deposit after returning to the country. They make excuses that there are such and such conditions in the contract.
This also damages the reputation of the country.

The car was in bad condition, I received it almost with an empty tank, and the garage location was inconvenient. After returning the vehicle correctly and even with more fuel than received, I was wrongly charged €20 for allegedly returning the car to a different location — which was false.

To get the refund, I had to personally return to the office twice because they could not process it immediately.

There was also an additional €10 “local tax” that was not clearly explained beforehand and appeared hidden among optional extras in the booking information.

The main problem was not the money itself, but the lack of transparency and the amount of time wasted resolving issues that should never have happened.

For a small difference in price, it is far safer to choose a larger and more reliable rental company.

The rental company of the agency Green motion of Naples is a scammer. He refused my credit card under false pretexts (361 € more) and wants to impose me 400 € of undue repairs. Attention to his practices: I signed a notice of return without defect and the lessor added after signature a non-existent damage.

I am a foreign consumer who rented a car from a car rental company near Rome Termini Station, Italy.

I rented a car for a total of 4 nights and 5 days, from December 26 to December 30, 2025, and returned the car without any accidents or damage.
A deposit of €800 was pre-authorized on my credit card at the time of rental, but it has been over 20 days since I returned the car and the money has not been refunded.

I have contacted the car rental company via email several times, but have not received a clear response or a refund.
I believe this constitutes a violation of my legitimate consumer rights, and I am filing this report.

As per other's experiences this company did not return our 900 euro deposit. The car was returned in perfect condition and on time. No response from them or doyouitaly who we booked through

900euro deposit held and never heard back. I wish I’d read reviews this company is a scam set up. I only leave this here to help others

I have never experienced a more unreliable rental company than Frank Autoleggio in Rome. Thier practices are outright maffia an d should have their rental licence revoked. I paid a deposit of EUR 500, returned the car in a pristine state, but they paid back after more than a month only EUR 430, whithout giving any explanation. Also the car had a faulty front tire which exploded on the highway. I paid for these costs. Upon return of the car they promised me to reimbuse for the cost. Despite numerous phone call and. promises on their side, they never reimburse for this cost @ EUR 120. They charged me EUR 350 for an old Fiat Panda for five day, which is also a rip off. Refering to the numerous complaints about this company in the past, I recommend you not to use this most unreliable company with its malicious practices.

Had an excellent experience with this company, after being left stranded at the airport in the evening with a baby due to a flight delay and our original car hire place closing without warning. We were really looked after and able to hire 2 cars without a reservation. They also didnt take advantage of us and over charge us. The cars were brand new and clean, they were also honest about a minor scratch which we missed when we were checking the car over so we were able to note it on the paperwork. Would not hesitate to recommend and won't use anyone else in future.

I have rented a car from them recently. They have a really good costumer service and very good deals. I am really satisfyed. If I want to rent another time I'll go to them.

This is by far the worst car rental experience I have ever had. I rented a car through this company and, despite returning the vehicle in the exact same condition as when I received it — full fuel tank, no damages, and on time — they still went ahead and charged me an additional amount without giving any clear explanation.

When I reached out to question these unfair charges, the response was dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, they tried to shift the blame and avoided taking responsibility. It is extremely frustrating and feels like a deliberate attempt to take advantage of customers.

A rental company should be transparent, fair, and customer-oriented. Unfortunately, this company is the complete opposite. Their practices are misleading, their communication is poor, and their customer service is non-existent.

I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this company. There are plenty of other reliable car rental providers out there — don’t waste your time and money here. They will find ways to add hidden charges and make your experience a nightmare.

We had a terrible experience with Frank Autonoleggio. They gave us a car that was in poor condition and felt like it was about to break down. We were honestly scared to drive it, especially on the highways. Even worse, we later discovered a hidden AirTag in the trunk – something we were never informed about, which felt like a serious invasion of privacy.

During our rental, we tried calling them multiple times when we had issues – no one answered. When we returned the car, it was in the same condition we received it, and we even filled the tank with more petrol than we were given. At drop-off, they said everything was fine.

But later, they withdrew our €400 deposit without any explanation. Since then, they’ve ignored our calls and messages. This feels like a scam, and we strongly warn others to stay away from this company. Completely unprofessional and dishonest.

Absolutely scammers they ask us additional £300 on top of the deposit which we payed online and gave us a totally different car. Still waiting after a month of our holiday to get the deposit back. Customer service is awful never reply to emails,calls and what’s up.

hey I've booked a car on the desk at roma termini Station for 1 day I get charged 130e for a damn 4 seater! was all fine until I try contacting them to get my 500e refund back ! just to be hit with a marking answer why I ask then for my deposit back and they were not keen to help me with any further information! I had the worst experience I wold not recommend to anyone this company it a total scam

This place is a joke! They gave me a dirty, broken car, charged me hidden fees, and forced me to clean the car or pay an extra €25. The staff was rude and barely spoke English. They even photocopied my ID and credit card and passed it around between employees! Super sketchy. Non fidatevi!
