After being greeted by an old lady with a disdainful attitude, my friend and I began looking around. Unfortunately, this person kept following us around the store and I could sense she was watching us closely. We felt very uncomfortable. She ended up approaching us and mentioned with pride how they import everything from France, Italy and England mainly. My friend ended up purchasing a decorative item from their store. They forgot to remove a small sticker that says "MADE IN INDIA" underneath it. It was quite small and the corner was slightly folded so the writing wasn't apparent so they must have missed it.

She realized this when she got back home otherwise we would have definitely confronted the owner about it. I actually found the same item online for 12X!!!! less. My friend got ripped off and I still feel bad. They are clearly marking up their prices like crazy and pretend these items are imported from "France".

I don't believe anything we were told at "Authentic" Provence. Very untruthful, inappropriate sales practices!!!

Avoid this place like the plague!!! My loved one purchased a limestone fountain from Authentic Provence and the limestone totally crumbled in less than two years. They blamed our maintenance staff for allegedly not caring for the stone properly. We have another limestone piece next to it that we imported from the south of France directly in 2006 and the stone developed a spectacular patina without crumbling away. They didn't take ownership of the problem and were deflecting. They refused to even listen and the owner Susan got extremely aggressive on the phone. I also spoke with Xenia briefly and told her that the patina on the fountain that we purchased was artificial and not "natural" as they claimed when we acquired this very overpriced fountain. Ultimately, we don't believe that this fountain was imported from France as we were told. After hearing our concerns, she immediately got defensive and even used profanities. She told me that they have been in business since 1998 and that I was the one making stuff up. Absolutely shameful customer service. I am not surprised to find other negative online reviews about them. Spend your money elsewhere because these people will not stand by any of their products. Be careful "all sales are final" at Authentic Provence.
