I purchased an item from ebay in Australia to ship to Canada. It was on older "antique" item that the seller packaged in a box. When checking out with Ausff I noticed they had an option where I can pay extra to "double box" it. In other words, take the original box and put the item inside it. Double the protection I thought, well worth $5.00. What they did was the exact opposite. They took the original item OUT of the original box and simply put it in a plastic FEDEX shipping envelope. So instead of having 2 boxes, the item was shipped in one plastic bag. They least they could have done is ship it in the original box it came in even though I paid to have a double box. But what they did makes no sense. Who would do that and for what purpose. Completely wasted my time and money. I thought I was being extra cautious by going with the most expensive option out there. Turns out that sometimes the most expensive isn't the best.
The item arrive crushed. I would not recommend this company.
Edit: the response from the company is pure fabrication. They did not double box my item. I have the original packaging still and photos. Literally no box. Secondly I choose the Postal Carrier specifically because the item will be left for pick-up at the Post Office instead of me needing to be home when the driver comes. Had I wanted FedEx I would have selected FedEx. So I guess when you checkout on AussFF the carrier you select and pay for is just a "preference" but at the end of the day they use whomever they like? If that's the case I'd recommend putting that info on the site somewhere and more specifically on the page where you select the carrier. Possibly you might want to consider adding a "do not change carriers on me" button for users who have a specific carrier preference. Many of your competitors have this feature already. Or if you're changing carriers on someone the professional thing to do would be to email them and ask. Communication goes a long way.

So far so good. I bought something from ebay and as soon it arrived at warehouse, I received an email. Also, the customer service is on point and friendly. Now, I wait for it to arrive. As soon as it arrives, I will update the review or add another.
Update: I received the package and can say it came in one piece. Extremely recommended and would use them again if I needed to. Thanks for the Trolli.

I recommend to give them a try if you are purchasing out of Australia.
They do have stringent ID and payment check in place, understandable as this is required to ensure cyber security.

I was worried it was going to be complicated to use but it was super simple! Got items delivered from Aus to UK with no problems. Now I can still order from all the aussie brands I love that aren't delivering to the UK anymore (bloody covid/brexit).

It's good to deal with a dedicated company, efficient yet still at human scale.
Their agents have assisted me all along my difficult purchase via concierge service, then the transfer of multiple parcel, some containing dangerous goods.
They personnaly assist and guide you when needed. it's a human on the other side, not an automated bot or a global custommer service.
