Asus Rog Ally common fault and let down by Asus
Asus Rog Ally. SD card reader failed (common fault), Asus repaired. I never used the card reader again. Went to sell it to CeX, they told me the card reader was faulty. Contacted Asus who said it's now out of warranty and they want £65 to diagnose the problem plus more to fix it. Considering going for the full price via small claims as this product wasn't fit for purpose from the start.
Useless expensive device no support
Useless expensive device no support. £150 into the bin after a few months of very glitchy use, customer service can't be bothered to even talk me through warranty options, given the runaround. No wonder it was given to me with a voucher.
AiFoto doesn't have a slideshow function
I am interested in being able to display a slideshow of photos I have stored on my NAS. The device I want to display it on is an iphone or ipad. The company (ASUSTOR) recommends using AiFoto software however it does not have a slideshow function. Now I am stuck.
ASUS lost my laptop, no refund!
ASUS lost my laptop. The worst company I've ever dealt with.
Laptop broke after 3 weeks, they tried to get DPD round to collect it who were useless. Eventually I had to send it off myself after weeks off faff. DPD said it had been dropped off at ASUS, ASUS said they've received it but now can't find it. Can you believe it? This is only something they've disclosed after I've raised a formal complaint after weeks and weeks of no contact and getting fobbed off. 3 months down the line and I have no laptop and they won't allow Curry's to authorise a refund for it because 'they're investigating'. Just give me a refund as per my rights!
Everytime I phone I get fobbed off by a rude man called Gabriel. Everytime I sent emails they weren't responded to.
What sort of company LOSES someone's laptop only to deny them a refund? Avoid this disgrace of a company.
Never again will I buy this brand of MB.
I have used ASUS for decades but found I needed support with their latest offering. I was provided with a A620M-PLUS WIFI motherboard as part of a package that I wanted specifically to run Linux on.
After wasting a lot of time and contacting ASUS tech support, I am told the junk they supplied only runs Windows.
Nowhere does it say on the box that the thing is a Windows only board and obviously the pc builder didn't know either as I asked specifically for a Linux PC.
What really made a joke of their stupid tech support was the requirement for precise detail on the model and serial numbers and then to be fed a line that clearly highlighted the fact that the tech support bloke either didn't know or couldn't be bothered to check the details of the specific bit of hardware that was preventing Linux working properly. Using only a model number I could identify what was fitted easily myself.
Like so many other products, you can use these motherboards for years, but only find how truly useless their products and service is when you need help.
My help email was telling me the board was Windows only and went on to tell me to find out what ASUS fitted to the board and trawl the internet for help.
Well worth £100 + eh?
None of the hotkeys work on my device…
None of the hotkeys work on my device after only 2 years of ownership - its' RRP was £4000 ish so this is absolutely ridiculous that such basic support is already gone, even eliminating the ability to use things like the keyboard backlight - not to mention how inconvenient it now is to change screen brightness, volume, power mode etc... The device's advertised mux switch has also never worked - a software issue I was told would be solved asap shortly after buying the device. Please solve all these issues; the extended warranty I paid for is not even over yet and simple software features are failing to be updated. All drivers, bios, OS are up to date.
Website doesn't even let you send an email to support - "verification code error" despite it being written fine. Absolute scam company, would never buy one of their laptops again.
Notebook F1504VA
Notebook F1504VA: Within a few weeks of purchase, touchpad stops working after about 30 minutes of use. Instructed to complete lengthy BiOS reinstall which failed to rectify the issue. Great process for pick up to repair. Laptop was returned after two weeks and was still not fixed. Asus claims they cannot replace a product. I purchased this laptop to apply for jobs, I cannot be without it for another two weeks while they try and repair it. Now forced to use a mouse instead of the touch pad. Super annoying.
Faulty drivers on my vivobook.

Four Repairs, Zero Fixes, and a Damaged Laptop
This has been the single most frustrating customer‑service experience I’ve ever had with any tech company. I sent my ASUS laptop in for repair four separate times, each time hoping they would finally fix the issue. Not only did the problem come back every time, but the last return actually came back worse, with new damage that wasn’t there before.
Every repair felt like a reset button — no progress, no accountability, no proper diagnosis. I kept giving ASUS the benefit of the doubt, but after four attempts, it’s clear that their repair process is unreliable and their quality control is nonexistent.
I’ve lost time, money, and trust. A laptop should not have to go through four repair cycles, and a customer should never receive their device back in worse condition than they sent it.
I genuinely regret choosing ASUS, and based on my experience, I cannot recommend them to anyone.
Be careful! Asus likes to scam you!
I bought the laptop via official Asus website, it did include a bundle of two videogames. When I got the laptop I received no codes with games. After I asked their support how can I get it, replying was: you bought your laptop out of the promotion dates. What the f? Why then Asus you put this on the screen if it was invalid?!!!????!!?!??!!
Awful aftercare service
Awful aftercare service. I would never buy from the company again. I phoned the customer service line today to ask for help with my laptop that’s 3 years old and the battery is no longer charging. I was told the warranty is for 12 months and that is how long I should expect it last for as it’s a consumable. When I queried this I was told the warranty is for 12 months and it’s a consumable. Agent spoke over me and said “Madam with respect (no respect whatsoever) we are going round in circles” and Agent ended the call. Simply awful.
first impression of laptop m1502Ya ?

Customer service
This is a review more on the customer service I've received since I raised an rma with Asus about an issue that I had with my Rog strix b650e-f motherboard.
My board had about 2 months left on warranty and down to the coverage Asus had with the rma process I wasn't going to bother as the company I had purchased it off had went into liquidation and I had an elderly parent who was seriously ill
I did eventually contact Asus and soon after I received an email from Asus customer service but with my mum being ill I hadn't bothered carrying on with the rma. A few weeks later I had another follow up email from James Bradford from customer support to see if still needed assistance ,who I will say has been very patient as I at times had taken quite awhile to respond and I I had decided to continue with the RMA process he arranged for my motherboard to be collected.
The RMA is still on going but the customer service for me has been great.
I was watching a YouTube video and when…
I was watching a YouTube video and when I'm on discord in full screen next thing I knew it the screen randomly blacked out while other times the internet card malfunctions or even suddenly acts as if wifi never came with it i actually have to apply pressure on the card area to get the card working again then a few days later the screen blacks out when while gaming to the point that I had to lower the amount of videos I make to upload to my YouTube channel the name for anyone wanting to know the name is SkaggsPlayz_YT.
Buyer beware!
Cautionary tale to potential ASUS customers - ASUS’ customer service is beyond horrible and they will not support you. This is coming from a lifetime ASUS customer and supporter.
My experience: I ordered a new ASUS ROG Strix 1000w Gold power supply unit. Right out of the box the monitoring software showed that one of the pins was giving lower amperage Thant he rest. Overtime this issue grew to the point of one pin providing no amperage at all.
Running a 5080 I was concerned that this could cause the low to no amperage on the pin would cause the others to rise and generate more heat, and I’ve heard stories of cards or wires melting because of this very issue.
I attempted reseating the wires multiple times (which only helped temporarily) and other troubleshooting tips listed ASUS’ website.
I reached out to ASUS’ customer service since the PSU was covered under a 10 year warranty. I called ASUS customer service approximately 7-8 times over the course of a week and a half, having to explain the issue multiple times and even still they continued to get the issue wrong on subsequent phone calls. I was asking for one wire (the faulty wire from the PSU to the GPU) to be replaced.
I was given an absolutely run around with the average call lasting close to an hour each time. I was told that the wire didn’t exist, to it did exist on the e-store and to call them, to I have to RMA the entire unit, to them giving me a product number for the wire, to again the wire not existing, to it not being offered by ASUS but rather their Canadian distributors, costing them provided no help either.
Absolute nightmare for a $15 cable.
I asked for the entire unit to be replaced after multiple phone calls, and again a huge run around with no simple solution.
I am beyond disappointed and frustrated with ASUS and question whether I will be supporting this company in the future.
It seems they speak about their awards, customer service and accolades to wu received in 2013, but if you need help because of their fault product, you are on your own.
Buyer beware.
If anyone if wondering my case ID with them are N2512009779-0006
Had to buy a different power supply and will have to rewire the entire computer now because their lack of help. Still waiting for them to reach out.
A Year of Frustration: Great on Paper, Unsupported in Reality
I really wanted to love this laptop. The design is sleek and the performance is fine when it actually works. But my year of ownership has been consumed by its problems and an impossible support experience. I've sent it back for repair multiple times, only for it to return unfixed. Dealing with customer service has left me feeling dismissed and unheard. It's incredibly disappointing when a product shows such promise but is completely let down by the company behind it.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. I bought a laptop and within the first week the audio wasn't working properly, it was meant to be a military grade scrtach resistant laptop but somehow in the first few weeks it had lots of scratches and a few of the keyboard letters had faded off (eventhough it wasn't really near anything that should scratch it). Within the first two weeks the mouse was intermittently not working and the screen would freeze sometimes. The charging port does not always recognise the charger either. I sent it into repair and they SENT IT BACK TO ME WITHOUT EVEN FIXING IT. Apparently they couldn't 'find any faults' which is just not true and they only tried for a day or so for less than an hour at a time (when I specifically stiulated some of the issues are intermittent so would not show itself straight away). I argued back and forth with them and then sent it for a second repair. This time they fixed one of the many faults and STILL SENT IT BACK without fixing all or without consulting me. I now need to send it back a THIRD TIME within the space of a year. I've had laptops for 10 years which cause me less problems. The customer service has been awful. The latest person 'Michael_W' has been the most useless staff member for a company I have ever spoken to. Refuses to take accountability for the faulty product. Refuses to raise my complaint eventhough I've asked him to do it three times. Tried to blame the original place of purchase almost a year later and the only solution he is offering me is to go back and complain to them but obviously there is nothing the retailer can do almost a year later and when the product itself has been faulty from the start. I have spent most of a year on phone calls, email chains and chatbot services trying to get the original problems solved. THIS IS MADNESS! And the fact that Michael just refuses to escalate my complaint no matter how many times I try to ask. My patience is thinning and I've since asked that he put me in touch with another staff member as I am fed up with his incompetence. I last asked him to do this ten days ago today and still haven't heard back even though this is meant to be the direct support/complaint line where they process things quicker than normal.
waste of junk
Can barely keep up with the most easiest websites such as spotify and discord.
Its not possible to play games or even work on it, it lags so much i gave up trying on it even when i deleted everything it still freezes or crashes. The worst company ive ever seen.
