Disastrous
All of my three biggest (£10K) investments with Archover resulted in losses - so much for "Guaranteed and Insured" !! Verging on fraudulent
Pointless collateral, failed loans, bad debt
I championed ArchOver for years. They lend to UK businesses, I said. They analyse the business, I said. They ensure adequate collateral and limit loan-to-value percentages, I said.
Then they suddenly decided to exit the retail investor market.
Then loans started going bad, and collateral turned out to be worthless.
I made tens of thousands in interest in the early years, and paid tax on all that. Now I am losing as much and more in bad debt.
Just lost a large chunk of money…
Just lost a large chunk of money through Archover, many loans in recovery so more losses coming.
I am left having lost more than £5000
I am left having lost more than £5000. I am also left questioning the quality of this company's due diligence. We should all be aware of the risk of P2P lending but personally would give them a miss.
Might as well thrown the money out the window
Lost £7k with their 'safest' investments, because of their lack of due diligence.
Stay away!
Ineffective scrutiny
I have held back writing this review in the hope I wouldn't have to be negative...however the time has arrived.I have just lost £15000 invested in a company that effectively tricked Archover and was fraudulent. That was in 2018 and ever since highly complex legal manoeuvres have resulted in many delays and false dawns.Just last week investors were told to count their money as a complete loss. Also another company seems to be permanently on the verge of going bust with Archover having extended repayment of capital deadlines £10000 in my case..several times over the last two years with interest payments being made on an ad hoc basis and always very late.
Of course I realise that investments with Archover are high risk and losses happen...however I..like some other reviews on this site..am deeply suspicious of the level of robustness of initial scrutiny of potential borrowers. Archover are also rather poor at keeping me up to date..necessitating many phones calls just to find out what's happened to my £10000
If you are considering investing through this company you would do well to bear my experience in mind. Given the ineffective level of scrutiny of some borrowers..it may well happen again
Great for SME acquisitions
We used Archover for acquisition finance in the SME space. Their process helped us to build a robust and thorough plan for the investors, the project was funded fast and its been working well. Would highly recommend.
Secure but expect not to earn any interest on investments
I've used Archover for a few years now as a lender, it is very secure and they take the selection of new funding opportunities seriously. When I started investing the platform was great but now there is just too many people for very limited investment opportunities. As soon as a new opportunity comes onto the platform, it is funded within seconds and even if you are ready to invest at the hour they put it up, you can still easily miss out if your browser takes more than a few seconds. I've contacted them numerous times but they just say I have to be faster to invest (not really possible) so aren't really helpful at all. All I would say is expect your money to be sitting there not earning any interest for a while unless you can continuously check and stop your life when a new funding opportunity comes along.

Highly recommended
We worked with Archover recently as a senior lender in a MBI. They were very easy to work with, approachable and reliable. The P2P process and online nature of the business made the processes quick and easy to execute - I would recommend them to anyone seeking a funding partner for acquisition purposes.

Although it took slightly longer than anticipated to set up, Archover have become an integral part of our acquisitive growth strategy.
Funding for Business Acquisitions
I used ArchOver to raise funding for a MBI Acquisition we did this year. During and post-covid, financial markets and particularly High-Street lenders, have been really difficult to work with, let alone secure funding. The Team at ArchOver were really approachable, professional and delivered on their commitments within their advised time frame. I will happily use ArchOver for future transactions.

Investment income completely offset but…
Investment income completely offset by a number of losses, I appreciated the risky nature of these investments but Archover's security/risk management mechanisms are not as robust as described on their website. As all investment of this nature be very prepared to suffer losses, that is the gamble for such potential returns.

First-rate
As a lender over the past four years, I've found the service and the loan range from Archover team to be excellent. There's always the possibility of a loan going wrong - no profit without risk , after all - and when one of "my" borrowers needed to restructure and extend a loan, the service and level of clarity in communication was first-rate.
Great team, product and service
Great team who managed the transfer from high street lending to more flexible funding, very supportive of getting the bank to manage extensive paperwork and they all make effort to understand our business and industry and tailor the offering to our needs not generic Funding. So I would recommend their services, not necessarily the cheapest out there per se and certainly not the most expensive either, but certainly the most responsive and supportive team I've dealt with in Finance. Also worth a note that the systems and processes they use are very good digital tools that ease the process of using and managing the funds.

Professionally handled (again) - fast and secure
This is the second time in two years I approached Archover for an advance on our R&D tax credits. I was advised that once the platform opened for funding, it might take up to two weeks. 55 minutes!
I've found Archover professional, quick and to the point. We'll be back later this year to run the process again.

Fantastic experience
I’m relatively new to P2P investments, but having done my homework and talked to a couple of seasoned investor friends, I opted for ArchOver. I also like the fact they are part of a long-established financial group which gives me a bit of peace of mind.
The platform is easy to use, lots of useful details on the companies looking for investment, good returns and overall a really smooth experience so far.

Fantastic support
We have used Archover to bolster our working capital requirements. They have spent time understanding the nuances of our business and their support has been faultless to the point we consider them strategic partners.
We would have no hesitation recommending them.
