Requested a quote for 4 appliances and got a great deal. Delivery arrived on time with prior notification of time slot. All items in tip top condition. Delivered to the room requested. Couldn’t ask for more. Will definitely use again, 5 stars.

Before ordering from Appliance City, I had seen their Trustpilot score of 4.7, and assumed from this that they were trustworthy.

How wrong I was.

I have NO idea how they have such a high score, as ordering from them was a nightmare.

My first order was booked for 16th July, on a Thursday. This is important, as Thursdays are the only days I'm home all day.
The day comes around, and I am notified that the delivery would not be that day as they've had an 'accident'. Of course I believed them, hoped they were OK, and rebooked for the following Thursday, on the 23rd July.
Later after sifting through the negative reviews, I would notice that excuses like this are a tactic they use to avoid delivering.

I then get an email the day before attempt #2 that my order is to be delivered on FRIDAY. Mind you, this is after both sides had confirmed the Thursday date. Naturally I email them to ask what's going on and that it was supposed to be on Thursday.
They respond to me that this was an IT error and it is definitely coming 'tomorrow (on Thursday).

Thursday rolls around and I get an email reiterating my order is coming Friday. They lied straight to me.
Before, they'd respond relatively quickly, but this time when I sent multiple emails throughout the day trying to get through, they completely ignored me.
As predicted, they only responded to my attempts at a cancellation AFTER they finally could be bothered to deliver (which again, I tried to cancel it).

Appliance City is a borderline scam service. I feel like for all the trouble they've caused (for me and clearly many others), compensation is necessary.
But all they'll do is add a note under this review to say "sorry you had a bad experience".

I will NEVER purchase from them again, and I recommend nobody else should either. They cannot be trusted, the hassle is really not worth it.

Easy to use website, polite phone call from the delivery driver, very competitive price

Decided we needed a new washer. Ordered the machine on the Monday and was using it on the Wednesday afternoon. Good price and excellent delivery service. Old machine taken away, new one fitted and packaging also taken away. Highly recommend this company.

Quick & efficient

apart from my machine being almost dropped from the back on the vehicle, I did not like that the men where speaking in their own language. Whilst they asked where I wanted the machine put, they did as instructed but they wanted me to sign for it straightaway and I was getting pushed to sign it whilst I was making sure there was no damage. hence I signed for it ' item not checked'.

The delivery service I received last week was shocking. I paid for a two-man delivery, yet only one driver arrived. He dragged my washing machine up the steps, scratching and damaging it in the process. This level of service is completely unacceptable, especially considering I paid for a two-person delivery.

Paid to have old oven removed. No warning on face of website about having to have it disconnected or removed first. Delivery team would not disconnect or remove. Delivery guy forged my own signature right in front of me, suggesting I had received this service. Appalling. Complained to Appliance City by email, seeking refund of money for removal of old oven. No reply. Customer service agent on phone couldn't have been less helpful and said there was "no one available" to escalate my complaint to. Total cowboys. Avoid.

Fantastic company to deal with , had a problem getting my fridge freezer through the door , they unpacked it brought it in and removed packing would definitely recommend them .
