I have to say so far my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. My first house fell through due to survey results and my second house has been just a lot of messing around. I can honestly say our solicitor Mohammed Laher really has been the angel of this whole process. He’s truly amazing. I’ve heard so many bad things about solicitors but Mohammed moves so quickly and is always at the end of the phone when I’m panicking or need reassurance.. I am currently in the process of buying a house, and was recommended APL. I wish I'd checked out their reviews before starting the process. My solicitor has never spoken to me once, she's ignored all emails I've sent her, she won't answer the phone, I asked the only person I can get through to on the phone to ask her to call me back, and she still didn't. I then followed APLs complaints process and made a complaint on the 17th of March. Their complaints procedure says you will receive an acknowledgement within 7 days (doesn't specify working days), it's now been 10 days and I haven't heard from anyone about my complaint either. The reason for wanting to speak to my solicitor was to query all these extra charges that were added AFTER I accepted their quote and began the process. This company is causing me a huge amount of stress and discomfort. I do not want to work with you anymore, please respond to my complaint so I can move on with different solicitors who will actually speak to me.
