Won’t be buying from Angara again

My experience with Angara was extremely disappointing.

I ordered a ring as a gift for my wife. The estimated delivery date was March 3, but it only arrived on March 9. When my wife opened the gift, the ring already had visible scratches and looked like it had been used. To make things worse, the gift box itself was defective.

I contacted customer service and explained the situation and my frustration. I even asked them to investigate how this could happen and mentioned that some kind of compensation would be a fair gesture.

Their response? They said the ring passed quality control and the scratches were probably caused during packaging. There was no apology, and the request for compensation was completely ignored. Their only solution was to exchange the ring, meaning my wife now has to wait another month because of their mistake.

For comparison, I’ve purchased jewelry from Tiffany & Co. and Cartier, and I’ve never had to worry about damaged jewelry or broken packaging.

I also had conversations with sales representative Rushi and later with senior manager Barbara — both made the situation even worse. Barbara placed a replacement order without my confirmation, claiming it was to speed things up. She promised a free chain as compensation, but said the new ring would not be returnable once received. We were also promised a discount, but I only received 270 CAD, even though the alternative ring we discussed was 680 CAD cheaper. I asked multiple times for clarification on this amount and was repeatedly ignored.

Very poor quality control, lack of transparency, and disappointing customer service. I won’t be buying from Angara again.

We responded quickly after you notified us of a problem with the ring. We were glad your wife liked the other item purchased with the ring. Your wife said the pendant and gemstones were lovely. In relation to the ring, we offered to remake the ring or, a different design, or issue a refund. I should add that we also increased the discount on your purchase. You decided that you wanted a ring with a different design. I placed the order for the new ring but you were not charged for it. Procedure required that we had to place a new order even for zero cents in order to begin production. We hoped you liked the new ring you selected and we were going to send an expensive chain as an apology gift. You decided you wanted a full refund. We sent you free return shipping labels to return everything. I emailed you multiple times daily stating that you would receive a 100% full refund in Canadian dollars after we received all the items in your order. You have every right to a refund. We have given you a 100% full refund.

Want my money back!!!

To whom it may concern

1. I ordered this ring on October 10, 2025

2. Gave it to my wife for her birthday on December 20, 2025

3. Pearl fell off on January 6, 2026, requested new ring

4. Jan 22 you accepted the ring for repairs

5. Told me I would receive ring back in 7 days. It was coming back from China – not in seven days

6. Received ring approximately Feb 20th

7. Feb 28 the pearl fell off AGAIN



This is a dud ring and a dud design. I am demanding a full refund to my account immediately after which I will send this ring wherever you want it sent but not until I receive my payment back in full. I expect an immediate reply before I call up social media about this ripoff ring and NO I do not want it repaired again.

There is nothing wrong with your ring. We sell many of that ring with zero problems. You picked a softer metal and,that was your choice. Also, a large pearl ring is a more delicate selection .
Your ring is past the return period which is posted on our website. However, as a one last time offer, we will make you a brand new silver ring with a new 10mm pearl.

Mail your ring back to us. We recommend sending it with a tracking number and insurance to protect yourself. In the box put a LARGE note with your order number and your shipping address. We will pay to mail it back to your preferred shipping addres.

WHAT! Are you nuts? You admit this ring is a piece of shit and you want me to pay for a better ring. This is bullshit and you are making me pay for the shoddy ring you guys are selling for over $400! I want my money returned now and let me know what you want done with this piece of crap ring. What’s wrong with you? That is the most unintelligent reply I ever heard to a customer complaint to a a customer complaint and request put in concerning a guarantee.

Put this up the management ranks Barb until someone will return my money and let me know what to do with this dud.

Instead of getting my money back you want ME to get it fixed locally and pay for that or up grade to a better ring at a bigger cost after this ring should not be for sale in the first place except for a prize in a bubble gum machine.

Please send this up to someone who can make a decision and I will open my case at the BBB.

I can understand why you are upset about the pearl ring. You purchased something lovely for someone you love. That was a big decision and purchase. We replaced the pearl once for free. I want to share a few facts about your ring that may be helpful. You purchased a lovely large 10mm pearl. That being said, if a pearl ring will be worn daily it should have a protective bezel or halo setting. A pearl is a delicate gemstone. Also, you purchased a silver ring. Silver looks good but it is a softer metal. That means that the prongs are softer and more likely to bend or move in daily wear. If the prongs move, the pearl can fall out. I recommend upgrading to 14K white gold. It will look the same and be strong. You are not obligated to have us fix your ring. However, we can provide a price to replace the pearl or alter the design if you would like. I want to help you come up with a solution. Please let me know if you would like us to provide the service or you wish to handle it locally.

None of our handmade jewelry comes from China. A large protruding pearl set in a silver ring must be treated with TLC. Fine jewelry needs to be treated with love. We have given you exceptional customer service by replacing your pearl free of charge after the return period. You selected a softer metal and a large more delicate gemstone. We always hope our customers will research their potential selections prior to purchasing. Also, prior to making a purchase we are always glad to answer customers questions. Yesterday, we extended another courtesy and offered to remake the ring FREE of charge, one last time. Although you are long past the return period policy listed on the website, if you insist upon a refund you can send the ring back to us. In accordance with our posted policies there will be a 20% restocking fee. We have provided options.
You are responsible to mail the ring back to us. However, as our last over the top courtesy we will email you a free return shipping label. Then you must decide if you want us to make you a new ring, or you want a partial refund with a 20% restocking fee. The policy for returns is posted on our website.

Sapphire tennis bracelet- poor quality in the clasp/links

My husband ordered a sapphire bracelet for my birthday in April, 2025. It arrived and the clasp was broken. It took them days to reply to our email but we sent in back for repair. It was returned, but still not repaired correctly. We emailed again to request another repair. They denied it at first, then said we could send it back in but this would be last time under warranty? We sent it back and it was returned supposedly repaired. Still not clasping correctly we took to a local jeweler who said it was not repaired. Overall, I would not recommend buying anything from them based on how they handled our situation. Within a few months it broke between the links. Back to our local jeweler who has now repaired the bracelet so I can wear it with confidence that it will not fall off. Tried your product once, but never again and will share our experience with others.

Great customer service, beautiful product

I ordered a ring and was worried it was too good to be true. Estimated delivery date came and went so I contacted customer services who replied straight away and gave an update. The ring was then dispatched as updated and arrived on time and is perfect! Absolutely beautiful! Great products, great customer support and fab prices!
