Look beyond Amazon
Crap uncaring customer service from Amazon UK. Wrong item sent. Informed Amazon they offered an insulting refund well below what I paid if I kept the item. Currently waiting for returns label, to return the item. Been waiting some considerable now for said label. Just keep getting an auto generated reply to my enquiries. I would advise customers to look beyond Amazon for whatever. They are quickly going downhill with customer service and delivery dates. As a Prime customer who used to use make Amazon my first stop for almost everything. Prime deliveries are now often taking longer than stated with no reason given. Amazing will no longer be my first search, but probably my last.
Absolutely disgraceful
Absolutely disgraceful
I ordered some wine and was told it would be here yesterday between 5.15pm and 8.15pm, it.got later and then at 10.30pm they didn't advise me but the app then said it would be delivered today
Sat here all day today and it hadn't arrived by 10.30pm but no one let me know or updated the app or anything
All they can say is sorry, no explanation no set time scale for tomorrow, nothing
Do not buy from this disgusting incompetent shitshow of a disgraceful excuse for a company
Attempted delivery ….. wasn’t the case !!!
I ordered an item specifically on the basis of same day delivery. Just had an email saying attempted delivery at 7.59 so couldn’t deliver…. This is not the case as we have a ring door bell and nobody has tried to deliver 😡😡😡😡
Impossible without credit card
Amazon have now made it impossible for adults to purchase age restricted products without having an actual credit card to prove age. Debit cards do not work. I have discussed this with the customer support and it is now their policy, so going forward, you must apply for a credit card if you want to buy anything with an age restriction on it. God knows how that makes any sense when the Banks have all our details anyway and there are multiple other options that could have been used such as facial recognition, using passport, using the bank cards than have always been accepted etc etc. Absolutely crap
I am reviewing Amazon's service not the item itself
I am reviewing Amazon's service, not the product itself. The Julian Bowen Marlborough Wall Mirror is a beautiful product – I wouldn't have spent over a year trying to buy it if it wasn't.
My experience with Amazon UK:
I have placed multiple orders for this mirror on Amazon.co.uk since early 2026. Every single order has failed in a different way:
Order 1: The package was lost by UPS after clearing customs in Ireland. Amazon refused to redeliver. They forced a refund I did not ask for – part of it was issued as a gift card locked to Amazon.co.uk. I cannot use it to buy the mirror because Amazon will not ship this item to Ireland.
Order 2: The mirror arrived completely shattered. The packaging was inadequate – no "Fragile" labels, no special handling. The glass was broken and the screws securing it were missing. Amazon refused to replace it, claiming it was sold by "Amazon Resale" (which is still Amazon) and they "don't send replacements for used items." A supervisor promised a manager would email me within 24 hours. No email ever came.
What makes this even worse: I was left to deal with the broken mirror myself. The glass shattered into razor-sharp pieces. I had to carefully collect and pack all the broken glass and heavy wooden frame to transport it to a recycling centre. This was an extra cost in both time and money. The mirror is heavy and awkward to handle – there was a real risk of injury while dealing with the broken pieces. Amazon took no responsibility for this.
Order 3: Currently pending delivery. I have no confidence it will arrive intact.
What Amazon UK does wrong:
They ship fragile glass mirrors as standard parcels – no "Fragile" labels, no special handling. UPS treats them like boxes of books. They get lost, dropped, or shattered.
"Amazon Resale" is Amazon – but they hide behind this to avoid replacing damaged items. The mirror is in stock on Amazon.co.uk, but they refuse to ship a replacement to Ireland because of their own arbitrary shipping restrictions.
They force refunds you don't want – I repeatedly asked for redelivery or replacement. A manager processed a refund against my explicit instructions and gave me a gift card I cannot use to buy the mirror.
The result: Over one year of waiting, multiple failed orders, countless chats, hours of my time wasted – and I still don't have a mirror I can hang on my wall. Amazon left me to clean up and dispose of a heavy, broken mirror with razor-sharp glass, with no help or compensation.
My advice: If you are in Ireland or anywhere outside the UK, do not order this mirror from Amazon.co.uk. They cannot and will not deliver it reliably. Buy it from a local furniture store or direct from the manufacturer. Save yourself the headache – and the risk of injury.
Product itself: 5 stars. Amazon UK's logistics and customer service: 0 stars.
Same crap different day same old…
UPDATE Nothing received contacted Amazon to be told the 49 inch ultrawide monitor was lost in transit, Just can't believe it. Still did not have the courtesy to let me know until I contacted them. AMAZON Same crap different day same old Amazon. it's now a regular thing with delayed delivery, may arrive one to two business days later than expected. No reason given, I was expecting a 49 inch ultrawide monitor Today Saturday 8/8/26. The sim rig is in bits waiting for upgrades the 49 inch being one of them, I live alone so no one to take delivery next week.
Every time Amazon send an order by DPD…
Every time Amazon send an order by DPD it never gets delivered. This has happened over ten times over the past few weeks. All other couriers are fine. Sure all the none delivered orders are refunded (after my intervention) but they seem unable to grasp the wider issue and either resolve this with DPD or avoid using them. I've tried DPD directly without any success.
I've tried and tried to resolve this by chat. The representatives can not seem to grasp the issue.
I have stopped using Amazon, and Evri is a major reason why
I have been an Amazon customer for many years, but I have finally stopped shopping with them after YEARS of recurring delivery problems.
Evri has been one of the biggest problems. Whenever I see that an Amazon order has been assigned to Evri, I immediately expect delays, parcels getting stuck, failed deliveries or other problems. Evri's customer service is practically non-existent, so when something goes wrong I inevitably end up having to deal with Amazon.
However, Amazon cannot simply distance itself from this by blaming the courier. Amazon chooses its delivery partners. If you repeatedly use a courier that provides a terrible experience, that courier becomes part of YOUR customer experience.
And unfortunately the problems aren't limited to Evri. I have also repeatedly had Amazon deliveries sent to the wrong address despite extremely clear instructions distinguishing my street from a nearby street with a similar name. I have literally had to get dressed, walk to strangers' houses and retrieve my own parcels.
I have complained and escalated these issues countless times, including to Amazon Executive Customer Relations. I receive apologies and assurances that matters have been escalated, feedback has been provided and improvements will be made. Then it happens again.
Amazon customer service makes failed deliveries even more frustrating. I have been transferred between agents and expected to repeat the same story again and again. When an item hasn't arrived, I can then be expected to wait days before receiving my money back.
Why should I carry the inconvenience when Amazon or the courier Amazon chose has failed to deliver my purchase?
I cancelled Prime because I genuinely couldn't understand what I was paying for anymore. Eventually I stopped using Amazon altogether.
I now actively consider the courier when deciding where to shop. If I know a retailer regularly uses Evri, I am increasingly choosing another retailer.
Amazon is a colossal company and losing one customer probably means nothing. But every customer is a drop in the ocean, and oceans are made of individual drops.
After being a customer for years, Amazon and its choice of delivery partners have finally lost my trust and my business.
Never written a bad review before, but this service is beyond terrible.
I have never felt the need to leave a negative review for a company until now.
I ordered an item on August 4th and specifically paid for Amazon Prime to get next-day delivery. It is now August 8th, and my package is nowhere to be seen.
What makes this even worse is the complete lack of real customer support. I have contacted them 3–4 times now, and every single representative gives the exact same copy-paste response: "It will arrive tomorrow." Nobody actually looks into the issue; they just read from a script to get you off the chat. To top it off, the last representative straight up ended the chat while I was in the middle of typing a reply.
Paying extra for a service that isn't delivered is bad enough, but being brushed off and hung up on by support is completely unacceptable. Avoid relying on their delivery promises.
This service is beyond terrible.
I have been trying to get a refund off…
I have been trying to get a refund off Amazon for a product I bought that was different in description. I’ve been trying to get a refund of a few hundred pound for over a month and still nothing spoke to over 40 agents also product was not dispatched
ABSOLUTELY USELESS !!
ABSOLUTELY USELESS !!! Online delivery tracking at 12pm suggested delivery between 3pm-5pm / 7 drops before me. This then moved to 4pm-6pm suggesting there were now 'multiple drops' before me. At 4pm it reverted back to '7 drops'... I tracked... saw the female courier in the silver van (from Chester) drive past my house THREE times. She even delivered either side and to the rear of me. Then I got a 'Delivery Attempted at 6.14pm' message. Courier never even stopped and got out of her van !!!
Disgraceful treatment towards customers
What a disgrace Amazon are just taken a look at there 1 star reviews not everyone can be wrong but in Amazon's eyes we are we have had deliveries gone missing they have been left on the door step and not received in the letterbox for all to see and not received yesterday there was a delivery made but the picture shows a man's hand in the middle of the street holding a parcel I don't even believe it to be our street yet we have no redress how can this be allowed to happen we have instructions to leave with our neighbours but Amazon can't follow instructions nearly all there drivers are of foreign origins hardly any of them just like there call centres speak good English that begs the question if they can't talk good English can they then indeed read English I guess not because they can't follow instructions now there saying my parcel was delivered but it most definitely wasn't what the hell is going on I have spent thousands with Amazon alot of the time it's cheap Chinese rubbish they sell and send out how can I sort this before I take legal action for defermation

Over the past year the service has…
Over the past year the service has deteriorated.
Delivery dates and times are often changed after the date and time given has passed.
Extra paid for next day delivery is useless if its not delivered the next day.
Delivery's have been dropped on the floor next to the door with no attempt ring the bell and had the parcel over. What is happening to this monster company.
Price increase.
On the day my order was due to be delivered I received an e-mail advising that there would be a delay of between two and six months. I cancelled the order but later noticed the item was still available immediately but at a higher price. I decided to buy elsewhere. Not the way to do business in my opinion.
Customer service woes
What are we supposed to do when Amazon deliveries fail??
Subscribe and save order - bizarrely split in to 2 deliveries on the same day.
Delivery one - Royal Mail - Box of dog food + shampoo bundle
Delivery two - Amazon - Box of dog food + conditioner bundle
Aside from being a weird way to ship items that presumably originated in the same place. Only the dog food arrived in each delivery.
It takes so much clicking around to give feedback via the AI tool. I eventually found I could flag the problem with delivery - but now have to wait till 9am Monday before pursuing to "see if it arrives".
Really need to get out of the habit of using them because it's easy - they very clearly only don't care about or want to hear from customers.
EDIT: this time round the missing items had been packed in a box with other stuff. So my mistake for assuming the dog food only had dog food in.
However, this would not have been the first time this happened. And really the complaint stands as Amazon make it so difficult to raise issues that clearly they dont want to hear from people. The UX for giving feedback and claiming h refunds is absolutely awful.
Usually there's no problem with…
Usually there's no problem with deliveries. Today instead of taking five steps and putting my parcel in my porch the delivery driver left it in my recycling bin.
Honestly?! They actually took a picture of it in there. Porch or recycling bin. Decisions, decisions...
Misleading shipping
Amazon should stop misleading people with their shipping times and cost. Amazon is not better than Temu or Shein whose products are cheaper! If you can't fulfil a shipping don't mislead buyers who you don't know their plans for items they buy on your platform.
A dreadful customer-service experience with Amazon.co.uk & Lenovo
I purchased a Lenovo laptop from Lenovo’s own shop on Amazon.co.uk in good faith, believing that the purchase qualified for Lenovo’s six-month price guarantee.
Barely a week or so after delivery, the price dropped by approximately £270. That, surely, is precisely the sort of situation in which a six-month price guarantee is supposed to have some value.
When I first contacted Amazon about the price drop, their customer service strongly suggested that I return the perfectly good laptop for a full refund and simply order another one at the lower price. I must confess I was tempted — £270 is £270 — but it struck me as absurd and wasteful. I thought the sensible and honest course was to use Lenovo’s price guarantee. With hindsight, apparently that was my mistake.
What followed has been an extraordinary exercise in confusion, conflicting information and buck-passing. There has been so much wriggling from Lenovo that they ought to enter a belly-dancing competition.
At first, Lenovo Customer Service told me that my purchase did not qualify because I had bought the laptop through Amazon. The rather important detail was that I had bought it from Lenovo’s own shop on Amazon.co.uk.
I told Lenovo that, according to its own website, such purchases did qualify. Incredibly, I then had to send Lenovo screenshots of Lenovo’s own website to prove what Lenovo’s own terms actually said.
Then, as if by magic, that was no longer the reason my claim was being refused.
The reason changed.
Apparently, the real problem was now that I had failed to register the purchase within the specified 14 days.
I had attempted to register the purchase a number of times and genuinely believed that I had done so. Why would I not? The website was confusing and unreliable, and Lenovo’s own staff appeared uncertain about what was on it, how the registration process worked and, initially, whether my purchase qualified at all.
At another stage Lenovo told me to contact Amazon. So I did. What a complete waste of time that turned out to be. Amazon offered no meaningful help and eventually terminated the chat. The only courtesy extended to me was that they warned me immediately before doing so.
Back to Lenovo.
There is absolutely no doubt about the purchase. Lenovo knows when I bought the laptop, where I bought it and which laptop I bought. I have proof of purchase and the serial number.
First I was told the purchase did not qualify because it was through Amazon. I disproved that using Lenovo’s own website. Then the reason changed to registration. Rather than looking at the evidence and applying a little common sense, the whole process has felt like an exercise in finding another reason not to honour the guarantee.
I am also a long-standing Lenovo customer. I have bought Lenovo equipment for many years, including ThinkPads, and until this experience I was perfectly happy to buy and recommend the brand.
The £270 is significant, but the principle now matters just as much. What is the value of a six-month price guarantee if, when the price actually falls, the customer is confronted with a confusing registration system, contradictory information and changing reasons why the guarantee supposedly does not apply?
My advice to anyone buying a Lenovo product through Amazon on the strength of a promotion or price guarantee is simple: keep absolutely everything. Take screenshots, keep every email and retain evidence of every stage of registration. Do not assume Lenovo’s own customer service staff will necessarily know what Lenovo’s own website says.
The hardware itself is not the issue. The customer service most certainly is.
After many years as a Lenovo customer, this experience has permanently changed my opinion of the company. In future, I will take my business elsewhere — to a company that knows what it is doing and treats its customers with a tad more respect.

Also onther issue is I pay and buy for delivery next day, a few times it takes days, bought something the other day for next day delivery, got email last night to say it will arrive in just over a week, we should get a discount for things like this.
