After having a new alpha boiler fitted…it's been a total disaster and a disgrace to say the least.
After having a new alpha boiler fitted a couple of weeks ago it's been a total disaster,after 3 days got no ignition fault engineer came out replaced gas valve and control panel.. Within a few more days main fuse in boiler blew 3 more days with no hot water, engineer came out diagnosed a weak fuse 🤣🤣he had only gone up the road then got no ignition fault,did some tweaks said it was fixed .
Been not igniting a few times this week but eventually fired up then last night trying to have a shower no ignition fault again this time had to reboot 4 times to get a shower.Alpha said after my last review over a week ago they would get in touch not heard a thing 😭 absolutely a joke .Please do not get a alpha boiler it's the biggest piece of junk going and is not fit for purpose.I want a new boiler fitting off alpha as this is a total disgrace if not sorted soon will get trading standards involved..If I have 1 issue with that one I want a refund and will get my engineer to fit a different make..

Unreliable with their boiler service appointments
I have now had two boiler service appointments cancelled by Alpha Heating. An engineer did not turn up for their service date on 10/7/2026. Told by a service adviser that a text message had been sent a week earlier to advise cancellation. A mobile phone number had not been registered with Alpha at the time to allow for receipt of the message. A second appointment arranged for 28/7/2026 was also cancelled by Alpha, under receipt of an advice this time, due to holidays. Previously have had good service, but their standards have fallen very short on this occasion.

Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience. I booked an appointment through Alpha Therm's portal, received confirmation, and even took a day off work specifically to be at home for the engineer.
On the day, after several phone calls, I was told my appointment had been cancelled because the engineer had been reassigned to a commercial boiler job. I was then offered a new appointment several days later.
I understand that emergencies can happen, but cancelling a confirmed appointment at the last minute, after a customer has taken time off work, is simply not acceptable. Better planning and communication are needed.

Friendly, professional engineer, excellent boiler service
The regular engineer phoned me before arrival and quickly started his check. He found a faulty part and replaced it with a new one. He was pleasant, friendly & professional throughout, & he answered any questions I had about economical heat settings. Excellent service!
