I have used Algarve removals many times in moving my home and buisness from Uk to Spain. Every single time the deliver with professionalism. All wrapped and handled with care. Once I asked for a favour to get a delievery quicker and they oblidged. Will only ever use these guys and Ryan is especially helpful. 6 stars 🌟

Below are some tips that might help you.
To set the scene, we were a UK to Portugal move, moving into a house that was liveable, but which needed completely renovating. As such, much of our move items initially remained in boxes.
You will soon learn upon arrival that everything in Portugal can take some time; including the multiple tasks that need doing that you are not aware of until you arrive. ‘Portuguese patience’ is a commonly used phrase as is ‘one thing in one day’. So whatever schedule you may think you have other priorities will soon take over. This is mentioned as you must deal with the arrival of your belongings in good time nomatter what other priorities you think there are. This is important
Algarve Removals are quite pleasant to work with whilst everything goes well, or more importantly, are within their T&Cs. The team loading/unloading are particularly helpful and credit to them. But here are some tips.
- Part of their sales pitch is that unlike the formal visa shipping process, you do not need to list everything in each box. It is strongly recommended that you still do this. Not only does it help you find things when unpacking it is also vital if a box is lost and you need to know what was in it
- Do not bother with ‘Fragile’, ‘Handle with care’ etc on your boxes. For us it was clear that these had been stored on the bottom of a pile. Crushed boxes, broken items.
- This is common sense, but ensure that the boxes you use are sturdy, are full (helps stop the crushing) and have plenty of protection. I have no affiliation to AR, but would possibly recommend their or anyones packing service. It costs more, but would be worth it if you have expensive items.
- Really important – advise AR what each box insurance value is. It’s part of their form, but so easily overlooked when you have 100s of other priorities to deal with. Their default insured value is minimal so be wary
- When the delivery arrives in Portugal set time aside to check everything. As mentioned your time will be drawn towards other priorities, but there is a time limit on any claim you need to make
- Video and photograph your house before and after any move. In our situation there was damage to the walls, but as we had already moved to Portugal, before AR arrived to collect, we did not notify them until the estate agent, selling the house, pointed out the damage.
Much of these are common sense. For our move we lost roughly £1000 worth of items (broken or lost) which could had been prevented if we were fully aware of the claim time limits set with AR T&Cs. But as mentioned your task list will be full when you arrive (this review is written almost 3 months after belongings arrive as there is now time). As a side note AR offered £100 as a good will gesture for the loss, damage to house, damage to items, which has been declined.

Wow!! We're do I start, let's start with Aaron and Bailey, these two young men were fantastic. I've moved quite a lot with movers while I lived in the US, around 7 times.
I have never worked with a team that truly get what customer service is all about, their attention to detail on how they packed all the boxes was exceptional, our sofas, book cases ,cabinets, kitchen equipment etc have never been wrapped like the guys did ours. Wrap,blankets,cardboard,more wrap . To all our furniture. I would highly recommend that you always go with the movers packing everything for you.
From the office staff, to Ryan whom did our appraisal and quote for us to the team loading the van.

This is the second time I have used Algarve/Málaga Removals. Once to move the contents of our UK house to Spain and a few weeks ago to deliver a bespoke item to our new home. On both occasions they have been fantastically well organized and charming. During the house move they kept our belongings in their storage facility in Spain for a year and then delivered them in pristine condition. We've had nothing but excellent, efficient service and great communication.I would recommend them to anybody.

Algarve removals guided us through every aspect of return our belonging from our Spanish home back to the UK. They accommodated timing, made the customs simple, and made no fuss of wrapping with care and professionalism treasured items. At the UK end timing was to the minute, carefully offloaded and polite. This company advised us throughout the move, was efficient, and very reasonable. 7 star service all the way.

Algarve Removals came recommended to me, and they lived up to expectations, and some! From start to finish, communications were outstanding. The back office teams in the UK and Portugal were always quick to respond and accommodate requests and changes. When it came to collection and delivery, the whole operation was faultless. The two guys who came to collect were so careful with our things, and absolutely meticulous in cataloguing everything. We had complete faith in them. At the Portugal end, everything again went smoothly. All our furniture was delivered as planned, quickly and in perfect condition. The price was also excellent. I would use Algarve Removals again in a heartbeat and have no hesitation in recommending them as the best removal company I've ever used.

Fantastic team from the admin staff to the removal and delivery. Everything was communicated effectively and care and attention was taken with all my items from Wales to the Algarve. Would highly recommend these guys and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I can't recommend this company highly enough, I rung John last minute and received an instant quote, I dropped the shipment into their premises and it arrived in Portugal a few days later. Great service, please thank the entire team in UK and Portugal.

Used Algarve Removals for the 2nd time and excellent service as before. Had a parcel delivered from a UK shop to me care of Algarve Removals in the UK..... it arrived at their depot on Thursday and was at my house in the Algarve by Tuesday morning ! :). All paperwork, import taxes taken care of. Easy Peasy !

Service but everyone from the Algarve staff to the UK staff were all a delight to speak to and so helpful.

I left a few things by accident at the Algarve warehouse and they kindly packaged them and sent them with my order to the UK - no extra charge.

Overall the service provided was very good. However, improvement could be made on communication. I was never contacted when I was told I would be and I had to contact the company for updates on the delivery of my goods.
