I didn’t like all the fees AirHelp took…

I didn’t like all the fees AirHelp took and the fact I could not deselect the option to pay a 12 mth fee for a subscription for future claims, at the time when bank accounts details are entered for refund to be transferred.

Otherwise they kept me informed of the claim status.

Hi Ronald,

We understand your disappointment regarding the fees deducted from your compensation and your frustration about the subscription option during the payment process. We always aim to provide a transparent experience, and we appreciate you sharing this valuable feedback with us.

We would like to clarify that our annual subscription plan, AirHelp+, is entirely optional. It is designed to cover future trips, and you should always have the ability to review or deselect this option before confirming your bank details. We apologize for any confusion or difficulty you experienced at that stage of your claim.

If you would like to deactivate the AirHelp+ subscription with the full refund, please let us know and we are happy to do it for you (note: the subscription can be cancelled within 14 days from the date of the purchase).

We are glad that our team kept you well-informed about your claim status, and we will take your comments into serious consideration to make our payment process clearer and easier to navigate for future travelers.

Kindest regards,
Lisa from AirHelp

Easy process

Easy process. Takes a while, but almost zero involvement from my end. Got my money - even more than initially expected.

AirHelp did an amazing job…

AirHelp is a really good for getting your compensations. They did an amazing job. My claim request was stuck with the airlines for almost 6 months, but they finally got something for me. It was even rejected but they somehow ended up giving me the compensation I deserved.

Scam

No conditions or whatsoever written anywhere - they take almost 50% of the refund as a commission. Horrible service

Hi Nigora,

Thank you for the feedback!

We understand your frustration regarding the final payout amount and how it may seem lower than expected. We would like to assure you that we always aim to be completely transparent about our pricing and fees.

We would like to clarify that we only deducted our standard 35% service fee from the total amount recovered from the airline. The Terms and Conditions regarding this fee structure are clearly stated in the Assignment Agreement that you reviewed and signed when submitting your claim.

In this case, the total funds received from Austrian Airlines included your €400.00 flight compensation plus a €247.00 refund for the hotel expenses you submitted.

Because we only received one valid proof of expenses from you, any additional costs for food or other hotels could not be included in your claim and we recommend contacting the airline directly and request to reimburse them.

We are sorry that your experience didn't meet your expectations this time. We appreciate your patience and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

All the best,
Lisa from AirHelp

Compansation claim

I had a great experience with AirHelp.

Last August, my Lufthansa flight was delayed by 3.5 hours. Lufthansa rejected my compensation claim straight away because my flight was from a non-EU country to another non-EU country, which I found quite strange.

AirHelp handled my claim successfully, and I received my compensation this week.

Thank you, AirHelp!
