I had a very bad Customer Service with Agoda…
I had a very bad experience with Agoda customer service for a very simple question: "How to use my Agoda cash". It took totally about 30' for not fully resolving the question, wasting my time. The Agoda staff (Yuthra) was either sleeping or lazy or incompetent just occasionally reply with something useless. It should take less than 1 min to give me the instruction. Couldn't do that. Horrible service!

I booked a hotel stay and used their pay later option. I was charged today and was charged more than what was indicated when I booked the stay. The agent kept insisting that my bank had added service fees and there was none and that there are conversion charges when I am paying in the same currency. They asked me for proof that I was charged more and I provided the same. I am now asking them proof that what they received is the exact amount and not what was deducted from my account. If they cannot provide it, this only means that they are scamming people!!!

The scamming practice of Agoda hasn't changed. They will use "bait & switch" in their booking practices. They advertised a lower price and then switched to a higher price when entered. They had scammed us before and when confronted with evidences, they just went in circle with their stalling tactics. Never trust this agency.
inaccurate prices
On May 25, 2026 I booked my stay in Las Vegas for 11 nights. I received a confirmation for the room charge with a quote for the resort fees that would be due at the hotel after the stay. The amount quoted was 20% less than what the hotel charged. Agoda support refuses to acknowledge the inaccurate quote that was provided and will not provide compensation for their error.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Agoda.
I made a confirmed hotel booking on 2 July (Booking No. 2028638209). After my booking was confirmed, it was cancelled, allegedly because of a cheaper price. I did nothing wrong—I simply booked the room at the price displayed on Agoda’s own platform. If there was a pricing or system error, customers should not be penalized for it.
What made this even more frustrating was that I was effectively told to make the booking again at a much higher price. How is that fair? Why should I pay significantly more for the exact same booking after Agoda had already confirmed my reservation? It felt as though I was being forced to accept a higher price because of an issue that was not my fault.
Customer support was extremely disappointing. Despite contacting them and explaining the situation, I did not receive a fair solution or meaningful assistance. Instead of honouring a confirmed booking, I was left with the option of paying more.
I have my booking confirmation and screenshots of my conversations with customer support to support everything I have stated.
This experience has seriously damaged my trust in Agoda. Based on my experience, I felt treated unfairly as a customer, and I sincerely hope no one else has to go through the same situation. A confirmed booking should be honoured, not cancelled with the expectation that the customer pays a higher price for the same reservation.

I have booked one property with breakfast and agoda has also send me confirmation mail. When I chek in the property Royal Cabana Bunglow at Lonavala the owner says that your booking doesn't include breakfast and they have not srtve it. Agoda customer car ask for feet to complaint about the same and not solved the problem.

Be careful with Agoda. I booked a hotel for €215.18, but Agoda cancelled/failed to confirm the booking due to a system error. I received a cancellation notification and was told I would get a refund. After a week, they are now saying it was my fault or a No-Show. I never cancelled this booking myself. This feels like a scam, and I am still waiting for my money back.

Booking was easy, but I would never use Agoda again for flight bookings.
I was asked to pay an amendment fee that was more than twice the price of my ticket just to reorder my first and middle names. When I sought clarification, Agoda and the airline gave conflicting information, and I was left chasing both parties for answers instead of receiving proper support.

My experience with Agoda has been traumatic
My experience with Agoda has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
I made a booking for The Divine Treehouse, Jibhi through Agoda and paid ₹5,337.70. Instead of receiving a prompt confirmation, I was made to wait for nearly 24 hours, only to find out that the property was not available at all. The owner informed us that the property was under renovation and was no longer accepting bookings through Agoda.
This raises a serious question: Why is Agoda allowing customers to book and pay for properties that are no longer operational or available on its platform? This is misleading and creates unnecessary stress for customers who are relying on confirmed accommodation for their travel plans.
The moment we learned the truth, we immediately requested a cancellation and refund. The property owner approved the cancellation without any issue, and Agoda also confirmed that the refund had been approved. Yet we were told it would take 30 days to receive our money back.
A 30-day refund timeline is completely unreasonable, especially when the booking could not be honoured because of Agoda’s inaccurate listing. Customers should not have to wait an entire month to get back ₹5,337.70 for a service that Agoda was never able to provide. Other travel platforms process such refunds much more quickly.
The entire experience reflects poorly on Agoda’s listing verification process and customer service. The company needs to ensure that unavailable properties are removed immediately and that refunds for such cases are processed without unnecessary delays.
This experience has significantly eroded my trust in Agoda, and based on what I’ve gone through, I would strongly caution others before booking through the platform.

I wish I read The Review Before Booking Never Again
I booked a package deal that included a roundtrip ticket for 2 and hotel stay for a birthday getaway. When I got my email confirmation instead of booking the roundtrip airfare they booked two separate one way tickets same day,hour apart leaving from the same airport to my planned destination, WHAT!!! It took hours to get someone to help calling and speaking to a customer service person is none existent everything is via email with a generic pre populated response. I just cancelled the hotel outright and tried to cancel my airplane tickets mind you same day they refuse to cancel them at first and then they sent a email saying that it takes a while to cancel and it could take 1-6 months to get my $500 back IF they decide to refund at all. I an contacting the better business bureau this company should NOT be in business

Terrible. Booked a room in chicago and when i arrived was handed a bill for an additional $250 for some drink tickets and two $10 dinner coupons... like insanely bad customer experience. No way to cancel. ripped off entirely.
