Customer Service not good
Tried to change the renewal date for our home insurance & online chat was appalling. Resorted to ringing up and after several attempts, ended up with someone who actually knew what they were doing. Very frustrating. Not a good start.

The company has shown a complete lack of compassion and understanding in the event of my brothers passing. I had to cancel my holiday in order to attend his funeral and I supplied copies of his birth certificate, his death certificate, and my birth certificate, but the company refused to honour my claim by asking for his complete medical history. My brother had been diagnosed with cancer 4 years previously and according to the claims department I should have known he was going to die. I have news for them - we are all going to die. Are all family members supposed to put their lives on hold when another member gets cancer and sit around waiting for the end to come. Had I known he was going to pass at that time I would not have booked to go on holiday obviously. We take out insurance in the hope that we never need to claim, but when such a time comes more understanding and compassion is needed. The company makes it very easy to pay them your money, but don't expect anything in return.

Admiral taking advantage of a loyal customer
I have been a loyal customer with Admiral for 9 years. This year they tried to increase my home insurance policy cost (with no changes), by 56%. CPI inflation measure is 3.1% over the last 12 months.
I really feel like they are trying to take advantage of me 'as a loyal customer'.
Other insurers are much closer to last year's quote. Time for a change.

I completed my renewal on the Chat service. The replies were prompt, informative and very helpful, for someone who normally likes to deal with Insurance over the phone. Within 7-8 minutes I was fully covered for another year. Very pleased with this interaction, and all previous dealings, with Admiral.
