The staff were very friendly & informative. It was our first time, so they took the time to ensure we knew where everything was & how it all works.

We didn't have overalls so the guy in the armoury was nice enough to provide us with some camo overcoats free of charge. We also had 2 people drop out but were still able to use their BBs for those that did show, this was a nice touch as they weren't obliged to offer this.

The safety briefing was thorough but light-hearted enough to ensure we all paid attention. I've seen some bad reviews about eye-safety but honestly safety was paramount the whole day (whether you were in the safe-zone, waiting area or out on the field). So they can't be faulted when it comes to safety.

A hotdog was included with our booking. You also have the option of adding a pizza for £5 extra. Both are satisfactory given we're in a field in the middle of nowhere & the hotdog was decent enough.

The shop is also a great option for snacks & drinks to keep you going through the day. It's fairly priced too. You can also buy ammo here but between 3 of us, one additional bottle of BBs was enough (& we were pretty trigger-happy!).

As a novice I can't really comment on the quality of the rental equipment, but I had no jamming issues with my gun & was able to see out all the day's games with no problems.

Lastly, I've also seen some bad reviews about team-balancing (given the number of regulars that are there). My group of 3 didn't encounter this at all. There were ample efforts to switch the teams around & ensure veterans were mixed with casuals like us. So again, if this is a worry for you, it shouldn't be.

I'll definitely be going again & might even look to buy my own weapons as it was great fun!
