Brilliant service by the team.Charlie was great. I had to get used to spanish ways of repairs which is a lot slower than the UK but the service was brilliant. I had to pay the excess which was the only disappointment and they didn't pursue the people that left an illegal unlit skip in the road that I hit. Their legal team deemed it not worth it despite knowing who owned the skip.
It will also effect my next premium. But abbeygate were very good.
Highly recommend them as a car insurance. Very very efficient. They used a British garage to get repairs done as well so no la guage barrier. Matt , in estepona accident repair centre . Fantastic service by him and his team .

I know you have to make a living but…
I know you have to make a living but really 8 weeks (!) to refund my money after me buying a new car?!? Then I have to chase you (again)… Agent to insurance company, insurance company to agent, a ent to finance department then finance department to director to get the money back?!? Really unprofessional and unnecessarily long drawn out process that obviously keeps MY money in your account for as long as possible… we pay you INSTANTLY… but you make it nigh on impossible to get it back… certainly not quickly! Not recommended at all!! Do yourself a favour and AVOID Abbegate Espana!

Had the inconvenience of a cracked windscreen and it was resolved very promptly and efficiently by Alina for me, All the arrangements were made for me , all I had to do was go to Aldi car park as we live in the campo and was met by Carglass. The windscreen was replaced quickly and the guys were great. Perfect service

Someone ran into the back of my car. We completed the accident report form, and I wasn't looking forward to the next step - making a claim with the insurance company. Approximately a month ago, a tree fell on my car. I called Abbeygate and was connected to Alina (Alina Caridad Garcia). She immediately assured me that she would be able to support me in the process. We communicated via email, phone, and WhatsApp. Alina was super supportive and assisted every step of the way. Alina’s communication was prompt, professional, kind, and compassionate. She was attentive and supportive for every question I had. Alina knew I did not speak enough Spanish for certain appointments and would check in with the repair companies to ensure I could get an appointment to repair my windshield and car. Unfortunately my car got smashed into, I called Abbygate and used the WhatsApp system (highly recommend the WhatsApp) my case was dealt with by Elena she was great and answered all my questions I asked if she could make it quick as I'm going on a road trip she did her best and within a week my car was being fixed.

I had a claim, it went well.
Insured my British van whilst I’m a spanish resident. It caught fire and burnt down at the roadside.
The recovery through abbey gate was good, although there was a lot of confusion between abbey gate and the recovery company about where my van was and if it had been collected, meaning I had to call between both and the scrapyard it was being taken to, but it was all sorted.
The claim went through and although the insurance company were dragging their heels a lot, abbeygate kept me up to date and kept the claim moving.
Would definitely recommend.
4 stars because of the calling I had to do myself to help organise the recovery/scrapyard.

Assessors Report
Alina, the Abbygate claims advisor, was extremely helpful and processed the claim without delay. However, the insurance assessor was less helpful. He insisted that I left the car at the repair garage when it opened so it was there when he arrived. He did not arrive and, instead, made his assessment from the photos of the damage I had given to Alina. Without ever seeing the car, he decided that the damage to the front wing was result of a separate accident, contrary to the accident report. I know I don't have any redress, but it seems very unprofessional, especially for a Company with GENERALI Siguros' good reputation.
