Same as everyone else here

Same as everyone else here, paid for a year and got 6 months with no refund of the remaining amount. If they start spamming you with emails offering a cheap annual price, they're probably closing soon after.

Paid 2 x £120 for waterlooville 2…

Paid 2 x £120 for waterlooville 2 memberships in October. Gym closed in Feb ( taken over by Pure).
Just received £12!!!!! refund. What an insult. Also advised not to follow up due to staffing issues.
Scam company. Avoid at all costs. They could do the same to you with very little notice.

Like so many firends

Like so many firends, colleagues and ex gym members I have been waiting patiently for refund when Waterlooville closed. Infact im waiting for 2 as my wife has also been ripped off. No need to repeat what others have said. Just a scam, rip off organisation. Would not advise anyone to join. There are better more professional gyms out there.

Joined Waterlooville gym paid a years…

Joined Waterlooville gym paid a years membership in August 19, the gym closed in January 20 and no refund has been issued, despite following their instructions to receive my refund, despite e mailing them another 3 times! Contacted head office to be told they only deal with monthly payments and if I want a refund I’ll have to seek advice from citizens advice!! Total joke and rip off!!

Total RIP OFF artists

Total RIP OFF artists - this company and the directors need to be named and shamed - taking peoples hard earned cash for a service they then don't provide (BY CLOSING A GYM THAT WAS PRE-PAID FOR) someone needs to stop them trading so they are not able treat other loyal members in this way again ... if you have paid by credit card people then look at consumer rights section 75

Refunds

I had no refunds when this closed despite emails from them saying end of February.
Nothing came and as everyone reads below no contact.
Now for the REFUND.
I paid via PayPal. I went through resolution center then escalate it.
I got FULL refund.
Anything over £100 is covered by your credit card company so contact them for refund. Explain you payed for a service which was not received due to closer.
I hope this helps everyone.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE YOU CAN GET!

Absolutely outrageous! I was contacted by the Waterlooville team to renew my gym membership in October at £120 for the year, no mention of closure. Have been unsuccessful in being able to make contact with 24/7 Fitness to discuss when a refund is due. Be warned, DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THESE THIEVES!!

Waterlooville 24/7 was my home for…

Waterlooville 24/7 was my home for YEARS. When I paid my annual membership I thought nothing of it, booped my card in the gym and carried on. The gym closed in December as was being bought out by Pure and we were all promised refunds, but, alas, it's nearly March and still no money received.
No response to emails, and everyone just seems to say 'it doesn't look like we're getting refunds' - REALLY?
It's appalling how the customers have been treated and this company shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
Happy to club together with other members to go to Small Claims Court to pursue our refunds.

Attention: Contact me to help the refund effort

Like many other users here myself and my partner paid for annual memberships and received nothing when Waterlooville closed down. We're long standing members, who signed up on old terms and conditions when the clause that's been used to stop refunds didn't even exist.

I'm pursuing news coverage and want to warn and inform potential customers about this, because 24/7 don't deserve paying customers! I also want to collect data which may help us receive refunds via legal actions. The small claims court should be able to help us receive returns from 24/7 and Sarah Chivers.

If you're interested, email your name, your gym and how much you think you're owed to this email address: 247fitnessrefund AT gmail.com. NOTE: I'm just a regular member of the public and you are sharing your details at your own risk. I'm just an irritated customer and I'm sure many of the people I used to work out with at the gym feel the same!

Sarah Chivers can you please contact me to return my money

Before I begin, type into Google 24/7 fitness contact number sarah chivers and use the second link 24/7website.me for the contact details of the parties who should be able to deal with refunds.

The 100th review regarding the same issue as everyone else. I paid for a year's membership and had 5 months out of it before they shut down and sold the premises to Pure Gym. I was advised weeks before they shut to get my membership number to claim my refund. As it turns out they do not believe a refund is justified and that they can keep my money for a service they have not provided.

It took 3+ emails and 3 months to be advised I was not entitled to any refund. When asking for an explanation as to how their unfair terms and conditions applied to this particular situation, you do not receive a response.

I have also tried to contact the person in charge of refunds "Sarah Chivers" who never replies to emails or calls and has now turned her mobile off. I recently called another staff member who advised Sarah would reply to my emails but when asking what a reasonable time to wait for a response would be, they could not comment. Probably because Sarah will never respond and thinks it's acceptable to take peoples money.

Please note, I will continue to call you until you return my money.

Disgusting

Same as all the rest
Stay clear complete RIP off paid upfront in August and closed in january refund issued calculated at 26.95 a month I would've been better off paying monthly at only 21.95 !!
My son is the same paid for a year upfront in may and received nothing.
Absolutely disgusted they deserve to go under treating members like this.
