At last a much lower cost for the hated 'please wait for an advisor' wait on calls to speak to someone. Very pleased customer.

More than happy
Moved to 1p mobile from Asda. No signal or Wi-Fi calling from Asda despite what they promise but both from 1p. SIM card arrived as promised and moved my old number over almost immediately. Good plan for what I need. More than happy that I made the switch.
I was sceptical at first
I was sceptical at first, but worth a try. Pleasantly surprised that the new sim arrived the following day and worked first time. the number porting process went well, and so far all is great.
Stealth fees
I had a genuinely frustrating experience with 1p Mobile, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone who travels or relies on consistent service.
The biggest issue came when I was abroad for an extended period. Without any clear or prominent warning, they started charging me £1 per day just for keeping the service active. There was no proper notification or transparent explanation upfront, it just quietly kicked in.
That kind of hidden or poorly communicated charge feels unfair and misleading, it didn't even show up on my invoices, I had to log a ticket to figure out why my credit was draining so fast, even though I had switched their data roaming off and wasn't making many calls.
On top of that, the actual service quality was disappointing. Signal coverage was unreliable, with frequent drops even in areas where you’d expect decent reception. Call quality was poor too, lots of crackling, delays, and occasional cut-outs that made conversations frustrating.
Data speeds were another letdown. Even basic browsing felt sluggish, and anything more demanding was a struggle. In a time when most providers offer fast and stable connections, this felt seriously outdated.
Overall, between the unexpected charges, weak signal, poor call quality, and slow data, the experience was far below acceptable. I have switched providers and wouldn’t suggest 1p Mobile to others.

Unable to fix their network fault
Callers not connecting with my phone. Callers not hearing dial tone. Despite repeated contact with 1mobile, fault remained. I tested with other phones, I even bought a Lyca sim to "prove" to 1pmobile that it was their network settings at fault. First I was fobbed off. Later customer service would take a day or more to reply to chat message. Months wasted, countless calls lost.
WiFi calling in UK
I needed WiFi calling for inside and EE for outside. While inside the house I kept getting dropouts on my EE Lyca SIM (they don't do WiFi calling unfortunately in UK) so swapped to 1p. Slightly more expensive in terms of data allowance but that didn't matter to me as I only use a little data. Made a call today from inside the house and it was crystal clear.
