easyJet left us stranded abroad TWICE…

easyJet left us stranded abroad TWICE with no money, food, clothing, hotel or way home. They turned off all methods of communication, didn’t answer phone lines and put the phone down on customers. They expected us to wait days or weeks in a foreign country with no amenities. They have no staff in the airports and will tell you to pay for your own expenses and claim back, which they will then deny. They have cost us thousands and haven’t been in touch with us at all. They’ve even blocked our social media comments.

Potential customers take this review as a warning to make sure you never use easyJet and always travel with a credit card and extra medication and clothing.

I am unable to write my full review due to length, but briefly easyJet cancelled our flights last minute and left us stuck with no food, water, accommodation or alternative flights. They expected us to pay thousands of pounds ourselves in the hopes that they may give the money back later- note the other reviews that explain their requests were then denied. If you didn’t have any money or means of buying a new ticket with another airline (not to mention supplies for yourself, a hotel, food, water, transport) then you were told it wasn’t their problem.

We were left dumped in Italy with no way home and no contact from easyJet at all. We paid £1500 to travel home via a different airport both in Italy and the U.K., and had to pay hundreds more in trains and transport back to our original airport again.

Quick to charge, impossible to get refunded

I bought my friend a plane ticket and paid for his luggage so he would visit me in London. Since the online check-in wasn't working, he had to check-in at London Luton airport. For some reason, his paid luggage didn't appear in his ticket and staff didn't fail to notice.
Just as he was about to board the plane, a staff member came specifically to him and made him pay £45 for the luggage, which he felt cornered and pressured to do so by staff or else they wouldn't let him board the plane; despite him knowing I had paid for his luggage.
Since then, I have been trying to get a refund for him. This happened in October of 2022 and it is not May of 2023 with no credit in sight. Every time I call, calls conveniently cut off when put on hold. I have mainly fought to get the refund because it was embarrassing my friend had to go through this. I am appalled by this scam of a company that can conveniently charge credits card but not refund them...
Their customer service is nice but powerless, confused and useless when it comes to getting something substantial done. It is all up to their Finance department and they come up with the stupidest excuses to refuse to give the money back they wrongfully charge. I look forward to the day this scam of a company will be brought to justice. If anyone else wants to initiate a class lawsuit for the pain and suffering this company causes its customers, please contact me.

Dishonest cancellation policy

They advertise a ‘free cancellation within 24hr’ policy, in which the email says you will receive a full refund.

Be careful of the small print hidden in their T&C’s that then states they will charge a £49 cancellation fee.

Feels extremely dishonest, but I guess why you come to expect from this kind of airline.

Stripped of money

They charge extra for my small luggage at the gate on my back flight just because it wasn't a backpack. First flight was all fine. Charge few pounds extra online at the checkout saying price changed sorry about that.
Tricks and traps during buying process and created by easyjet feels like cons. Few pounds here, few pounds there. Regulator's body will be inform about this practices. Very unpleasant experience.

I will never again travel with easyjet

I will never again travel with easyjet. I was charged for my cabin bag which I had already paid for when booking because I had a SMALL carry on purse containing phone and purse and that counted as a second cabin bag.
The plane was announced an hour delayed which made us really worried about our connecting train tickets. Good thing we didn’t buy new train tickets because all of a sudden the gate was boarding at the correct time and we had 6 minutes until the gate would close. Of course we ran for the gate, only to come to the gate that was closed and didn’t board until 40 minutes later. So uncomfortable to be stressed out for nothing!

I would give no stars

I would give no stars! was diverted from Luton to Bristol on a return flight from Rhodes after being left on the plane in the hold que for one hour on the 30/07/22. Captain announces his sincere apologies and confirms we will be greeted by EasyJet representative at the arrival terminal at Bristol and transport will be ready to shuttle us back to Luton. We finally arrive at 4am very stressed and with very tied children to find we are stranded and after tracking down EasyJet’s supervisor at the airport she stated we need to make our own way back to Luton as only a few taxis where sorted out!! She was not interested in our awful situation at all! there was about a hundred people left stranded with small children tied and weiry. I finally paid for a taxi which cost £250!. Disgusting treatment form Easyjet to their passenger’s leaving them dumped at an airport hundred of miles from home. Certainly will not use them again. Watch out as they really don’t care about their customers.

Sadistic Company

This company is sadistic. Pure and simple. In addition to the well-known last-minute cancellations due to lack of staff (not acceptable - just don't plan the flights) there are also overbooked flights, lack of staff to help people out, and staff that sits there for 30min chatting, instead of starting the boarding procedures (even though we're past the scheduled time for CLOSING THE GATE). Not to mention how small the planes are (completely disregarding the fact that people are taller than ever before) and that there's usually a second (and, sometimes, a third!) queue between the boarding gate and the actual plane for no reason at all.
There is no consideration for time, comfort or general well-being.

Surprise us EasyJet! Please give us what we are due!

Having read the reviews I am not surprised.
Luggage didn't arrive until the fifth day of six of our stay at lake Garda. Promise of £25 per day per person! We paid 285 euros to take a taxi to Milan to pick up our luggage which had Dispo on the label - they would have been disposed of had we not collected them. This after reassurances from EasyJet that our luggage would be delivered and if not we would be compensated. I just so wish we would just get what we were promised. We lost a lot in terms of the quality of our holiday because of EasyJet's ineptitude. Please do the right thing EasyJet. Our Claim no. is U2DEN/823326.

Postponing refunds will not encourage rebooking

I was offered a refund and submitted six weeks ago The email response stated they endeavour to send a refund in 28 days. They say don't contact until 90 days should you not have heard back.
I decided around 6 weeks is enough time for them to at least say how much longer until the refund is returned to my bank account. I attempted to call and the usual recorded message saying they're very busy try later and you try later and the same monotonous message. I then tried via Twitter. They responded by saying they couldn't look into my case as it would be unfair to others. I explained that I wasn't wanting to jump the que I needed updates. Iam very disappointed. My husband like many has lost his job so the refund will help us until we decide when to go see my daughter that just gave birth to triplets. This company doesn't look at each situation with empathy. I was initially going to rebook with them when I thought I'd receive a refund within the stated period. This is very questionable as I feel customer service can out weigh costs. It's a shame they may lose many customers through their lack of communication.

Worse airline ever

Having flown out to Turkey with Easyjet the Coronavirus affected our 14 day holiday on the third day. From that point, Easyjet cancelled our flight and offered no other help, the Facebook message was an automated response, the Facebook page was simply copied and past messages offering a link to "My Booking" or to their live chat which was closed. No telephone or email help, in our eyes Easyjet simply abandoned us in Turkey offered no customer support or help of any kind and at one point posted on their social media to make your own way home.
This company cannot be trusted with your families safety in a time of crisis.

This company are totally crap yet again…

This company are totally crap yet again and people are still booking with this cowboy company. I booked a return trip from Belfast to Gatwick on 27th Feb returning 2nd March. Both times a delayed flight with explanations as to why. The worst was returning we should have been on the 1740 to Belfast we got to the airport early to find that the flight was delayed yet again to 1830 then it was delayed until 1848 then again until 1900. We eventually got airborne at 1930 and got into Belfast at 2035 and out of arrivals at 2050. I went to Easyjet information at Gatwick and was told the reason was because of French Air Traffic Control diverting the plane because of bad weather yet when we were on board the Pilot told us it was because of a technical issue with the plane, so who is lying I think it was the Pilot as at info they showed me the tracking info and the plane was definatly not diverted so the the Pilot was lying. This flight to and from Belfast to Gatwick and return is always delayed its never on time and never has been so why are Easyjet still operating this route all they do is lie about everything its about time the UK Government did something about this airline they are a total joke.

This is a devious company

This is a devious company
which pretends it is the Easyjet booking site. It looks like Easyjet format but adds on its own Dohop alleged comprehensive travel insurance. Their acres of fine print excludes many claims notably for weather disruption of travel.
