Travelled with a medical travel certificate. . checking in boarding gate, rude and obnoxious woman wasn't interested in looking at certificate. Explains in several languages reason for probable extra weight. Never had this issue before. Asked by I wasn't using a rucksack! Ended up having to pay to take onboard otherwise would have to go in-hold luggage. Avoid this airline.
Customer Service isn't in their vocabulary
That this airline is allowed to exist is beyond me. They have worst customer service of the universe. Staff is super unfriendly, almost hostile. They are very reluctant to resolve the issues they caused, and just don't care what the European law requires them to do. This airline should seize to exist.
Easy to book - no problems flying
I take them once a month. It is quick to book and usually (not always) good rates. So I hardly ever have problems and they are on time. However their customer service is difficult to reach and you need to be patient to get them on the phone in case of a cancellation to book alternative.. But in the end we did. SO overall great company.
They overbooked my flight
They overbooked my flight, rescheduled me 13 hours later for nothing but a 20€ food voucher. They then delayed the rescheduled flight I called customer service three times and couldn’t get through to an agent. This company is ridiculous.

Had the most stressful and unpleasant experience with Vueling the other day. I am a professional musician, classical violinist and have to bring my violin with me when I travel for work. I normally make other arrangements where possible, knowing how unnecessarily strict the budget airlines can be with the instruments, but this time had no choice but bring my violin with me on board. The violin case is only a few cantimeters longer than official airline measurement and most of the major airlines don't have a problem with that. The ground stuff assured me it would be OK, but the flight attendant on board immediately declared that I was not allowed to have it with me, despite plenty of space in an overhead locker. An argument unfolded, a pilot had been informed, a flight attendant dragged my violin out of the locker, against my will, and insisted it had to go in the hold, or they would call security. I refused to fly and had to buy a ticket with another airline and had no problem with my violin whatsoever. Last year Vueling charged me €60 for bringing a bow case on board, half the size of a walking stick. A greedy and unfair attitude towards their customers, an inability to think outside the box.
Absolute rubbish
Absolute rubbish. Missed our connection because of late arrival. Staff not sympathetic or helpful at Barcelona. Missed our next flight to LHR and our next flight to jfk. Then because of not taking our outward flights with BA due to late arrival. All of them get cancelled. So we are down over 5k and had to sleep on airport floor with two children. We couldn't even use our rtn flight with Vueling and change the date and had to buy another ticket. This was a total rip off in comparison with the flight to jfk.

To add to this on the way back seriously annoyed I asked for extra free seat up grade lol. Some joke and they said I and my son had no approved certificate for cheap travel and tried to charge us extra money! which I explained and showed to them our other tickets were approved as having it in our flight there and the week later with them....which we should have been on
Then they seat my 9 year old girl between two strangers my wife in another row and me and my son in another row. She was crying and upset not that I can blame her and everyone was looking at us like we were mad. Bloody joke and I'm sure not even legal! There were many seats in front of us free and at least one side empty. Not that we were offered these. I will be speaking about the whole issue with lawyer. BA said you should refund us for their flights

They didn't allow me to go on the plane as apparently they had to see my new mandatory evisa.
It turned out it was already created in my UKVI profile but I didn't have time to produce it and they insisted it was mandatory for UK customs (I was in Malaga).
That same evening I had to get another flight with BA.
Their different requirements were simply "have a good flight". Which I did.
I flew today with air Europa , Madrid to London, and had no mentions of this "new compulsory" evisa.

The customer service on this airline doesnt exsist .. whilst they will refer any type of of question to their AI chat assistant .... I can honestly say that my 18 month old son would be more helpful in resolving any problems.

We had booked a direct flight from Zurich to Malaga (total cost 1300 EUR) and had to change our flights. The Vueling helpdesk conformed that postponing the flight would be possible, subject to a rebooking fee and any applicable fare difference.
When we attempted to rebook, we discovered that this specific flight was discontinued the following week, and we therefore couldn't change our flight unless if we accepted a 6-hour layover in Barcelona.
After 55 minutes waiting for an agent to pick up, a supervisor at the help desk advised that they would find a solution. I was specifically instructed to contact the electronic helpdesk, with the assurance that they would be able to see the case notes.
However, during the subsequent web chat, the agent informed me that he could not see any notes and thatnothing could be done.
We paid over EUR 1,300 for two flights which we were unable to take due to genuinely painful and exceptional personal circumstances. Furthermore, given that rebooking beyond mid-January was no longer technically feasible on a comparable routing, we believe it would be fair for Vueling to offer compensation in another form - either a refund or flight credit.
We indicated that a full refund would be our preferred solution. If this was not possible, we would accept flight credit, which would allow us to travel from Basel or Milan instead—both of which are considerably more practical for us than a long layover in Barcelona.
Vueling refused and refused and refused, and never responded to the principle point - which is that we were entitled to change, and the flight we could change to was discontinued. Therefore they needed to work with us to find an alternative solution, which again they refused.
Terrible experience and did not feel fair - at all.

Trying to make a claim with an agency didn't help as Vueling deleted my booking from their database, so my booking was like it was never existing.
And seems email proof and actual printed Vueling tickets with the booking number on it were not adequate evidence.
Avoid at all cost, pay a bit extra for a more premium airline.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience.
I was effectively obliged to accept the Prime Membership, and there was no clear option provided to cancel it. I have now spent over 12 minutes on a call, and no one has been able to assist me with cancelling the membership.
Additionally, there is no option within the app to cancel it directly, which makes the situation even more frustrating.
This process feels misleading and unacceptable. Please cancel my Prime Membership immediately and confirm this in writing.
I would strongly advise reviewing this process, as it creates a very poor customer experience.
Vueling Airlines are Great.
First time with Vueling, we flew Birmingham to Barcelona.
Easy to book online and ONLY £3 TO RESERVE SEATS !
First class service on board, great menu, the best airline for vegetarians.
The loos have much more space to use.
Staff were super - first time will use again.

Bumped and Abandoned
I was involuntarily bumped off my flight due to Vueling overbooking. I was offered no help or assistance whatsoever and left abandoned overnight at the airport - Just told "there is nothing we can do."
I've now found that Vueling have a duty of care under EU 261 and are LEGALLY OBLIGED to find me an alternative flight to my final destination and provide compensation including meals, hotel and transfers.
Four days later and despite making a claim, no response from Vueling.

Deplorable airline
Deplorable airline. Our outbound flight was changed from a direct flight to the offer of a 1 stop option, quadrupling the travel time and defeating the purpose of our holiday and forcing us to buy alternative outbound flights with Ryanair and no refund for the outbound flight when requested even though this is 100% illegal. It gets worse. Their Vueling app then would not allow us to check in for the return flight so we had the stress of them giving us a standby ticket at the airport with no seat number and no guarantee of getting on the flight until the last minute because THEY overbooked the flight?? We didn’t check in online because we literally could not do so through their extremely terrible app. I don’t think over booking flights should be legal when the seats are already paid for and the issue is clearly on their side. Disgraceful. I will be avoiding Vueling and would dread having to deal with them again. Avoid this fraudulent company at all costs.
Most horrible company ever!
Unbelievable. The direct flight we booked was cancelled, and Vueling only offered alternative flights with a stopover. They refused to provide a refund. A customer-oriented company would refund the ticket when the specific product purchased is no longer available, but Vueling clearly lacks any sense of customer service. It seems as if they are trying to lose customers and damage their own reputation!? This experience ensures that we will continue warning others: DO NOT CHOOSE VUELING!
Luggage lost Holidays lost :(
We went for a skiing holiday with Vueling. We still don't have the luggage 72 hours later... No Christmas presents no skiing cloths. It's a very, very sad experience!
Bad manners
Bad manners, rude behavior and very poor service. Unfortunately I have to use them too often and for a good experience, you have to take at least 10 flights... One on ten is not a good ratio... Today, a rude cabin crew removed my luggage from my hands in the baggage bin to move it forward a meter. There was plenty of space over my seat, but she moved it "because it's my work" she said... To put someone else, behind me, luggage... Rude and disgusting attitude.
Payment system flagged me as “fraud” – couldn’t complete booking, no support.
I tried to book a direct flight via Vueling and was repeatedly blocked by their payment system, which incorrectly flagged my attempts as “possible fraud”.
I used different cards, devices, networks, and payment methods — every attempt failed.
There was no real support and no explanation.
Even my personal data inside the account was stored incorrectly (my date of birth was shown as 01/01/0001, which I never entered).
After several hours of trying, I gave up and booked with another airline immediately — without any issues.
In the end, I deleted my Vueling account.
This was easily the worst booking experience I’ve had with any airline.
