I've been with Woodforest for many years & highly recommend them. One hiccup, which was really more of a misunderstanding since 2017, so I can't complain! I only wish we had more branches in Texas. I moved here from Ohio where they are in almost every Walmart (which is why I chose them - convenience with my former work schedule) and here I have to drive 70 miles to the branch. I will say though, on the rare occasion I have to travel to the branch in Mexia, they have been extremely kind and helpful.

I am not disclosing location. But I've banked with woodforest for a very long time And I always have good experiences. But today, I walked up to one person ahead of me while 2 workers waited behind a door. Another lady then walked up and waited behind the 2 of us. The ladies came out from behind the door and the first lady helped the first customer in line. The manager then helped the 3rd lady in line, who was behind me. I don't care who you are this is a business and good customer service matters. If anything it's called plain decency. Please do better. She may be a regular but so am I. I have been banking with woodforest for over a decade. Is it not first come, first serve anymore?

I've been a loyal customer been banking with them a refer my family and kids... But for them to charge you to transfer money for your savings to checking it's a service fee for your own money to where I'm paying 140 in service fee this is ridiculous and outrage. They don't care about customer because charge you for your own money

These people were supposed to close my account after we filed a dispute and lost all our money causing scammers to get all of our money again! The could care less about their customers!

I had a merchant to steal money from my account. I provided proof of the charges from the merchant. Woodforest only sided with the merchant to keep from crediting me back my hard earned worked money. I use to be a valued member. This bank is TRASH!

I have been with Woodforest bank for 5years, I’ve had 2 unauthorized transactions and the bank would not refund me any of my money back! I had $700 stolen through cash app, they denied the claim saying I had did transactions through cash app before, not to the thief, but because I used it! I closed cash app, no longer use that. Now,I’m battling PlayStation charges, over a hundred and something dollars. My daughters account was hacked, I was watching the transactions and couldn’t turn my card off as I should be able to! Went to the bank, filed a dispute and was denied again. I had to call Sony and have her account unlocked, her online id and passcode was changed by who ever the thief was. I am 51 and work for an insurance company, we try to pay ppl there hard own money back, not deny them! I’m looking to file a complaint outside of the bank. Thinking about contacting the media, just at my age, I like to keep things simple! Oh, I called in after I got this decision and got a manager who told me she wanted to see me get my money back and to dispute it because the same thing happened to her with her kids, we’ll see what happens, if not I’m calling 12 on your side or channel 6 investigators.

This bank is insane!!!! I had checking account w/ them years ago & remember why I got rid of them!! Always a mess!!! I have provided a positive ID w/ my correct address. They back have an address that I have no clue where or why it came from. I have walked into MANY branches and have ask that they correct the address. (I am a traveling Medical Professional) This bank keeps updating my mobile access only and NOT the actual bank account. So, I have bank statements with the correct address that the bank cannot, but I can see on my mobile online banking!! I have a crippled debit card because of this bank's constant incompetence!!!!!

Best Bank experience and I changed banks but I'm headed back. Best for overdraft protection and you can overdraft quite a bit as long as you have direct deposit.
