Terrible Service, Steer Clear!!

Placed order 12th May, received wrong frame about 6 weeks later. Now waited almost a month for Wickey's shipping partner to pick it back up as Wickey will not issue a refund until collected?! 72 days after original order placed, still no further forward, & children not likely to have a frame in time for summer, terrible service!

This company is an absolute disgrace

This company is an absolute disgrace

I ordered an expensive climbing frame from them 2.5 months ago as a birthday present for my nephew and delivery was supposed to be 2-4 weeks. Not only that I keep receiving e-mails telling me it’s being shipped and is on its way which is complete rubbish. My nephew is so disappointed and there are only a few weeks left in the summer. I am really frustrated and disappointed by this experience and am still waiting every day for the delivery.

I was very reluctant to buy from Wickey…

I was very reluctant to buy from Wickey after reading the reviews but took most of them with a pinch of salt as most countries had ground to a halt due to Corona virus. I bought the "Smart Coast" model on eBay on 24June and it was delivered to Ireland on 13July. Everything except for a few 5x80mm screws were present. Piece of wood that screws onto the side of the swing looks a little tatty and currently in communication with Wickey with regard to replacement. I've never built anything like this and apart from trying to level the swing on our uneven garden I found it all very straight forward. As other people have said having 2 drills is handy and a second set of hands to hold stuff up but I built it 95% on my own over a few evenings. The wood is seems great quality and all pressure treated, some of the edges need to be sanded to avoid splinters etc. I found the instructions quite good and had no problems cutting out the canvas that I seen so many people giving out about. The slide is of good quality and being able to attach a hose is fun although you need to drill the hole yourself which is clearly labelled and described. Overall I would recommend to friends and family and I would buy again. Edit on 11Aug20: I received replacement for damaged piece of wood today. Excellent service

If I could give a 0 stars I would

If I could give a 0 stars I would. Too long a story to bore people with but simply...... avoid this company if you want goods sent correctly and on time, if you want happy children waiting for what they’ve been promised and you don’t want to continually chase for what you’ve paid for. Don’t be fooled that German customer service will match their reputation for world class engineering. In this case the customer service is incredibly, incredibly poor. Couldn’t be further from world class. Avoid Wickey.

I don't recomend wickey

Last May 18th I purchased a wickey park. On the 29th I contacted the company in order to understand the status of my order, just getting back an email with automatic response that had nothing to do with my question. They said within 1 week they would respond. With no answers to date, I contacted him again on the 2nd of July and once again I only received automatic responses. Tired of waiting without knowing the whereabouts of the order with very high values ​​for me, on July 9th I decided to call the available phone number, to which the employee said it was not normal and that I would know what was going on. After 4 days they send an email and say that the order was still going to be sent! It is not acceptable! An order that costs so much money for those who buy and not even answers are able to give. It is not acceptable! I already asked for my money back! 3 months is a long time when there is no answer from the company!

Aghh!!

Been waiting since may for delivery. Received email 11th June saying it’s on it’s way... received another email a few day’s ago to tell me the slide is out of stock?!? Got another email to say it will leave them next week... let’s see shall we. Can anyone tell me who in the Uk delivers the frames.

No communications - shocking experience

Would be amazing if so many parts wouldn’t be missing - this spoils the whole feeling of being good. Customer service is really poor no communications , no answers to emails , no responses - massive company that sends a lot of stock out to their customers but if they miss something nothing happens and they don’t care. I ordered in mid March my StormFlyer and received it on 17th May - that’s like 6-7 weeks waiting in this time there was no updates or no information when this will be delivered - shocking !!!

Received the item with parts missing / opened a case for a partial refund on PayPal - and after 6 weeks I’ve been told to send the item in full back to the seller to receive a full refund - absolute JOKES ... they missed so many parts for it - I have build it assembled it in my garden - put in in the ground using concrete ( so it’s solid and don’t moves)
and they want me to send it back to receive full refund - are you being serious ? No logic nothing absolutely nothing ... yet again massive company is mugging of small individual persons. That’s obvious you can’t send this back - it’s not a 1 piece plastic toy it’s a 100kg or more wooden play house made from hundreds of parts which is already assembled. I only asked for partial refund for the wasted time and missed parts - what’s so difficult to understand ? I have attached pictures and everything of it and you still being cheeky and ignorant !!!! Ridiculous !! Unhappy and unsatisfied with the outcome and purchase from this company !!!

Absolutely brilliant!

We ordered a large climbing frame/play centre and only once I’d placed the order did I venture over to trustpilot and my heart sank looking at recent reviews. Anyway, I worried for no reason whatsoever, our play centre arrived in 5 weeks, no faulty parts, nothing missing, all perfect. Took my partner 3 hours to assemble alone (he is a qualified joiner). My little boy is over the moon. Thank you so much Wickey it’s absolutely brilliant!

Absolutely useless company

Absolutely useless company, stay clear and do not use. Ordered and paid in Mid April, website advised even with pandemic delivery would be 16 to 21 days. After 4 weeks I contacted them and they said I needed to prove i had paid. Sent proof and was told will be delivered early June. 5th June received an email saying item was dispatched. After a week I phoned and was told I had to pay 1st, eventually was told they would contact the delivery company. Have phoned every couple of days each time being told I have not paid and then being told they will contact the transport company and let me know. I am still waiting and chasing for their response. Still no feed back. May have to request a refund through PayPal.

All round failure of a company

Ordered Product, website said 2 week delivery. Contacted after 4 weeks to chase and was told further 3 weeks until dispatched. asked for refund they said will be up to 2 weeks to refund. 3 weeks on and still not received refund. Communicatioin throughout has been terrible. Avoid this terrible company

So you basically spend £800 odd on…

So you basically spend £800 odd on receiving a pallet of wood non of which is pre drilled or marked up but plenty is split and covered in mould but that's OK because it's a natural process apparently..... You then have to hand draw and cut out any decoration panels or letters that you can see in pictures on website without a template... 😡seriously people just go to b&q buy some lengths of timber and a saw and make it up as you go along cos that's what your getting from this company.. and after all this.. The split wood.... The mould... The have to cut out tarp by hand.... The have to cut out vinyl stickers by hand... Don't forget to buy your sandpaper to sand down the pre cut timber as stated in instructions so your kids don't get splinters.... By far in my 43 year existence quite frankly the worst purchase I've ever made in my life and I even owned a furby!!!! Avoid this company at all costs and please read reviews as I wish I had before spending money on your DIY pallet of wood and vinyl panels to cut out by hand... Absolutely shocking that these are even trading.. Avoid and don't get sucked in by pictures or discounts offered... Your basically buying a pile of crap wood and expecting your kids to play on it.... Utter disgrace

However, as we state on the product page, not all wooden parts are pre-drilled because the wood e.g. drying can change its volume and we can no longer guarantee the accuracy of the holes. Moreover, we want to give our customers a certain amount of freedom to design the tower the way they want it, which is why the tarpaulin is not yet pre-cut. Ordered large climbing frame

Ordered large climbing frame, says 25 days delivery but some delays. Good communication although did take a few days for them to respond but that's expected. Arrived yesterday and that was just over the 25 days so no problem at all with the delivery. Husband will put together this weekend so will update my review then.

😀😀

Yes we waited over 5weeks, but hey ho we are in a pandemic! You get what it says, it may be abit damp, few splits what are natural. Overall the product is sturdy, fab looking and yes it’s hard work to put up but the end result is fantastic.
We have a little crack in the slide and our climbing stones didn’t come, so we have emailed and I’m sure they will be happy to resolved (things happen! It comes in a loaded lorry!)
This has not effected its use for now and we are still happy considering what’s going off with the world atm :)

UPDATE— received a new slide 2 weeks later and the climbing stones 2 week later. Very quick response 👍🏼👍🏼

Nightmare experience

On 28th of May I ordered 1 “Speeltoestel Wickey FreshFlyer”, since than nothing happened, despite the fact they were saying that the delivery is 5-7 days.
On 11 of June - i asked to cancel my order due to lack of visibility regarding the delivery date, they answered that it’s needed 14 days for having the money back. Today is the 14th days and my money has not returned in my account yet.
Very disappointed about this experience.
Ps: imagine how disappointed was my little daughter who was very excited waiting this “toy”, and how was the moment when i had to explain that I cannot keep my promise.

Wickey Royal flyer 5*

Bought the Wickey Royal flyer climbing frame and slide set. Bought it in the early stages of the covid lockdown, it took longer than was stated to arrive. It arrived well packed and the instructions were really simple to follow. I was a bit concerned when I seen the amount of wood but managed to put it together by myself except for attaching the swing arm to the frame.
Really happy with the quality of wood and the finished product.
If you are looking at getting one I'd highly recommend, but be sure to have 2 drills handy as you have to pre drill the wood before you screw it into place to prevent the wood from splitting. There's only 4 pieces of wood pre drilled for you.
Overall considering I purchased it during a lock down and communication from wickey was a bit poor I'm very happy with the outcome.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. Very fast to take the large sum of money, very slow afterwards. Item arrived after almost 3 months, damaged, missing items and several parts cut to short. Now need to wait another 7-15 days for parts to hopefully arrive. Would not recommend !

I spent €1000 on a climbing frame

I spent €1000 on a climbing frame, ordered in 19th April, & today 16th June 2 months later I have nothing.
Wickey won’t or don’t have a tracking number to give me. They also won’t give e the name of the shipping company. Very disappointed disappointed.

Wickey Multiflyer Delux

After ordering and waiting for our order, became a little worried after reading the reviews...but...yes it was late and their communication wasn’t great but did confirm leaving their warehouse and arrived a few days later.

We bought the wickey multi-flyer delux and all the parts arrived. We paid about 500 quid and I thought that it was fair value for what you get. You might need to sand down a few bits and you have to measure where you are going to screw the parts together, but if you can assemble a shed, you can assemble this.

The instructions are terrible and could be far clearer but to get the whole thing up took two of us 4 afternoons to get it all set up. Have someone that can interpret high level instructions and make common sense decisions!

It is a softwood frame so needs treating. You need a socket set and a drill/electric screwdriver with lots of charge to see you to the end!

Overall, I’d spend the same money again and the kids have really enjoyed having it...I earned a beer or two for putting it up!!
