Love our new multiflyer

Ordered a multi flyer beginning of February and got worried after reading reviews on here that it wouldn’t arrive in time. Prompting me to email the company who replied quickly and said it was still on track to be delivered within the time frame specified. It arrived within the specified time of 25-40 days. Company emailed to say it had been dispatched then the courier company phoned about a week later and delivered within a few days.
My husband built it mostly on his own and he only has basic DIY skills. He did need help with putting the swing beam on but that’s it. He would recommend two people building it as it would be easier and less time consuming.
The only thing that he said would improve would be if the instructions were clearer and the wood was marked as other companies do but he still managed to build it ok.
End result is one happy little boy who has played well on his swing set and states he loves it and been the best Easter present.

Worth the wait

We ordered the Climbing frame Wickey Smart Sparkle on 7th Feb 2021. It took 6 weeks to arrive however, we expected that as the website advised 25 - 40 working days for delivery and delays possible due brexit/covid. We were informed when it was shipped after 5 weeks and received a call a few days later from the delivery company to arrange delivery. Unfortunately it never arrived on the day arranged however that was not wickey's fault. I phoned the delivery company and they rearranged for the next day. The delivery guy was fantastic and delivered to our garden gate. None of the wood is marked so took some time to work out what is what, and a couple of bits were missing however we also had extra for other parts so we made it work. To build is quite complex so we asked my Dad to help who is good with wood work. It took my Dad 2 and a half days to build on his own, only requiring help when it came to putting the swing pole on. It looks fantastic, only negative was there was no support under the middle of the platform, but with the extra wood my Dad put one in. The kids love it and i can see it lasting years.

So far so good...

So far so good! Ordered 2 weeks ago and asked a few days later if we would receive before our Granddaughters birthday in May. Response was very quick and answered all the queries I had, including about delivery, was advised early April. Today I've been notified that our order has been shipped. Not sure what the shipping time is, but in regards to communication and responsiveness, the company has been really good. We will wait to see when the goods come and their quality - but I'm happy so far.

All good, great climbing frame

Lots of negative reviews on here, but I ordered a Wickey Kingdom climbing frame (with swings, two towers and a slide) and it arrived within the allotted time frame (12-24 days). The wood is of excellent quality, as are the plastic and metal parts. Construction looks fairly straight forward; the instructions are rather small and not particularly easy to follow, but it isn't rocket science to screw timber together... I was surprised that the coloured canvass is not pre-marked with cut-lines for the various flags/shields/swords etc. I'll have to muddle through with that one...

Communication with Wickey was excellent and I feel I've got a really good quality item at a good price. I would recommend the service; clearly there are those that have been unlucky, but my experience has been very good indeed.

We placed an order in January

We placed an order in January, at the time it stated that it would be 25-40 days. No mention of Brexit being an issue, delays etc, they were happily still taking money from UK customers but are not delivering the goods!

At the end of Feb we still had no goods, I checked the website and it advised of no posting to the UK due to Brexit, I emailed and they confirmed this and even agreed to refund a % for the delays.

We are now at the end of March, they emailed again on Friday to confirm there is still no dispatch date!! I went onto the Wickey website, all brexit delay info has been removed? Which implies they are trading as normal to the UK. I added the same items to my basket and details, it advises 25-40 days .... again no mention of delays. So why are you letting customers order and pay for items with a 25-40 day lead time and not informing them of the delays?

I do not like to think negatively of a company, but I believe they have given us false information regarding no deliveries being made. We paid a lot less than they are now trying to sell an item for and we also got free delivery, I believe they want us to cancel our order and are trying to get us to do so by pretending there are delays.

Shocking company, they have had my money since January and honestly they could not care less. We purchased a Wickey climbing frame last year and it is great, but I would not recommend purchasing from them direct, do so via a third party which is what we done and actually got it at a better price too. I post for a small family business, which a lot go abroad, in fact two in the last month to Germany and we have sent them with no problems.

SEND MY ORDER OUT ASAP, I have been polite and I have waited but this is not acceptable. I am going to look into complaining about the company as this is not fair on or us or others.

IF YOU HAVEN'T YET PAID THEM, DON'T!!!

Good delivery time and communication despite Brexit/Pandemic

I will leave a review once we have assembled our climbing frame but I wanted to leave a review based solely on communication and delivery time. Like several companies in Europe the pandemic/Brexit has stalled production and shipping of goods therefore I assumed our climbing frame would take past the 40 days promised to delivery. I was pleasantly surprised when they told us that our item will arrive 25/03/2021 purchased on 18/02/2021 (36 days delivery time). The communication at first via their online chat gave me various delivery dates but once I got in contact with them via email they were able to give me specific information about my purchase. I emailed them quite a bit and they were helpful and professional throughout every correspondence.

Avoid. Takes money and doesn’t deliver for months, and doesn’t deliver all items.

I have already left a review below for my first order. To add to this the climbing frame finally arrived after placing my order 28th December. I was promised a free ships wheel with the item a month ago- this did not arrive.
Separately I ordered the anchors in January, with an estimated dispatch of 3-5 days. I have been told today they will not be dispatched until the end of March. If this company cannot complete the orders they should not be taking peoples money. I strongly feel they should be reimbursing me the cost the anchors. This length of delay is not right, especially as the promised ships wheel has not been added to the order as promised. Avoid this company at all costs.

Delivery times c. 3 months & poor communication

Ordered on the 12th January. With delivery expected for the 28th February, I understood this lengthy order time and accepted it.

I messaged Wickey on Facebook on 21st Jan after reading some bad reviews to double check everything and was reassured about the 28th.

Then on the 16th Feb I (rightly so) was worried as more bad reviews were popping up, so messaged on FB again - but still to this day that message hasn't been read (!) so I messaged on the Wickey website chat where I was told that the goods were still to be dispatched on the 28th.

Come the 28th no confirmation of shipping, so yesterday (1st March) I used the wickey chat to ask if it was delivered, but the chap said he couldn't answer my question so I needed to fill in a feedback form. Which I did, expecting to be ignored. Later that day with still no response I tried the Wickey chat again, where I was told my goods had left the warehouse and should expect a call from the shipping company. Great. I was put at ease.

Then today, I receive a response to my feedback form telling me my goods haven't been shipped and I won't receive them until late March/April!!

If I hadn't filled that feedback form I would be sitting around waiting for a phone call. As it happens I have cancelled my order and am now buying from John Lewis which has a 7 day delivery. N.B if the cancellation and refund process is painful, I will update again.

I appreciate Brexit is to blame, and I accept that it has caused delays, which is why I was happy to wait a month and half in the first place. But Brexit isn't the fault of terrible communication. Furthermore, if they haven't been able to sort shipping to the UK, they should pause all UK orders until it is resolved (like a lot of EU companies are doing) but no, they continue to take orders and will hold people's money indefinitely.

This is so frustrating.

I am loathed to write bad reviews as I…

I am loathed to write bad reviews as I understand the impact they have on businesses, but customers need to be aware of what to anticipate and how to manage their expectations.

Simply put, the worst service I have experienced, very poor customer care and communication throughout. I had expected some delays after missing the pre Christmas deadline by a few day, but I didn't expect this to result in a 3-month lead time after the delivery window was moved to mid February as a best case scenario.

After canceling my order, I was told it would take 14 days for a refund to be processed - German efficiency seems to be lacking here.

Please consider this before using this company, there are much better options out there.

Great company!!!!!!!!

We ordered the smart legend climbing frame in the middle of lockdown and then saw the reviews here and spent the time waiting for the delivery stressing. Completely unnecessary as we received constant email updates, it arrived in great time considering the situation, well packaged with great instructions. A fair bit of DIY needed but we knew this as the website does say this repeatedly. We couldn't be happier, great site and product. Don't be scared off by reviews, remember people always say something if they are unhappy and not so much when everything is good!

Extremely disappointed and exasperated

I ordered a climbing frame in June having paid the full balance in advance. Only for it to be delivered in late July and August in more than one package arriving completely damaged. Despite countless emails Wickey failed to compensate me and I struggled to arrange a return with DHL who were extremely useless. It took them four attempts to collect the wood from our driveway, which was out of use for several days as a consequence. Wickey have only refunded me in part and said the remainder was a paypal fee which again I had to fight to have refunded and they are still refusing. There was no other option but to pay with PayPal on their website as the card payment facility was down. Compensation still hasn't been given despite us having to unpack a huge amount of wood only to have to re pack it again due to heavy damage to be returned. Plus the lengthy delay with the delivery in the first place and two very disappointed children to not have their climbing frame!! I would advise to avoid ordering from this company as my experience has been really very bad and lengthy, having wasted so much time writing emails to get the order not only delivered but returned and still not refunded. I am disgusted and exasperated with this experience. Its such a lot of money to pay which they are refusing to pay back to us in full. I would like to take up a legal claim as I am at that stage where this company are not acting in a professional manner and refusing the return of my money.

Extreme dissapointment! DO NOT BUY THIS!

Tragedia. To co przychodzi to kilkanaście desek drewnianych dociętych na wymiar (+huśtawki, zjezdzalnia) i INSTRUKCJA. Wszystko trzeba zrobić samemu. Nie ma nawierceń, niewyszlifowane, nic. Równie dobrze mogli przesłać drzewo i INSTRUKCJĘ, na jaki wymiar dociąć. Mąż składał, szlifował 2 tygodnie. Z instrukcją można ten plac zrobić samemu bez ani jednego elementu od firmy (deski kupić i dociąć w Bricomanie). Zdjęcia na stronie przedstawiają plac zabaw z ozdobnymi elementami. W zestawie przychodzi pusta plandeka i informacja, że trzeba sobie samemu zaprojektować, NARYSOWAĆ i wyciąć ozdoby (napisałam w tej sprawie do firmy, odpisali mi bezczelnie, że kreatywność jest dla nich ważna i że dają przestrzeń, aby puścić wodze fantazji i zrób to sam - owszem, ale nie po to ZAPŁACIŁAM firmie, abym to ja popuszczała wodze fantazji, tylko ONI. Kupiłam coś, a dostałam informację "proszę sobie to wykonać samemu"). Mąż jest grafikiem i zaprojektował te naklejki, wydrukowaliśmy na bannerze za 100 zł. Aby uchronić innych przed tą porażką - chętnie podzielimy się projektem i instrukcją. Nie warto tego kupować! Jestem potwornie zawiedziona!

Tragedy. What you receive is couple of wooden boards cut to size (+ swings, slide) and INSTRUCTIONS. You have to do everything by yourself. No holes, not polished, nothing. They might have as well sent the tree as such and the INSTRUCTIONS indicating the cut size. My husband was assembling and polishing for 2 weeks. What you pay for is LITERALLY ONLY the instructions, with which you can make this climbing frame by yourself, without a single element provided from the company (buy wooden boards and cut them at Bricoman's or wherever at the building store). The photos on the website show the playground with decorative elements. The set includes an empty tarpaulin and information that you need to design, draw and cut decorations yourself (I wrote to the company about it, they wrote back to me shamelessly that creativity is important to them and that they give space to let YOUR imagination run free and do it yourself - yes, but I did not pay the company to let MINE imagination run free, but THEIRS. I bought something, and I received the information "please do it yourself"). My husband is a graphic designer and he designed these decorations, we printed them on a banner for PLN 100 (EUR 25). To save others from this failure - we will be happy to share the project and instructions of the playgroung. It's not worth buying it! I'm extremely dissapointed!

after I ordered this bed I stupidly…

after I ordered this bed I stupidly looked at reviews and was worried.
But I’m pleased to say they’ve been great bed looks fab was easy enough to ensemble (took all day😆) but was worth it it did take about 8 weeks to arrive though, but understandable given the covid. Was happy with customer service when I emailed in a query.

Absolute sham of a company.
Ordered a slide, a set of handles, a swing seat and a plastic picnic table on 25th April. I was told delivery would be the time scale on the website which was 10 days. 14 days later I sent an email and the reply ststed that due to covid-19 the delivery time was actually 20-24 days. Around 30 days after the order date we rang and we were told that the order had processed and was in the warehouse ready to be shipped, it would be with un in 5 days. 7 days later we rang back to be told that our order was in the production queue and would be ready in a day or 2. A week later we rang again and we were told they had a delivery notice, the manager would ring us as we'd not recieved us. I had an email from someone a few days later saying the deliver note was an error and our order had been despatched that day. One week later we rang as we hadn't recieved the order (or a despatch email) and we were told the order was that day going into production. We asked if we could cancel the order, and were told that it had to be done via email. Emailed to cancel the order and were told that the reason the order was delayed was one item (the picnic table) was unavailable, so if we wanted we could cancel that item and still receive the rest of the order. I replied that I wanted a full refund, it was unacceptable and just wanted the money back. Had an email the following day saying the order had been despatched 🤦🏼‍♀️ phoned up the customer service again who said that they didn't know why we'd had a despatch email so to ignore it, the cancellation was processing. 4 days later it was delivered (courier left it out the garden as we were not home) 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ phone customer services who said it was almost impossible to find an individual persons order so it would have been despatched and because it had been sent the cancellation was void. I could return the items if we wanted (by this time we had ordered exactly the same items from eBay and recieved them within 5 days) and they would be collected. The next day they were collected and returned and I emailed to say they had been collected and a refund was now due

Absolute Nightmare!!!

Absolute Nightmare!!!

Avoid at all costs. It’s a shame the star rating doesn’t go negative.This company is an absolute sham. I ordered a frame on 2nd July. With invoice suggesting 10-15 working days... I was told to call on 15 th to check delivery times which I did and Was told it wasn’t ready and wouldn’t be shipped , I called every day since and all the call centre staff were absolutely appalled by the complete lack of competence from their company to respond to my queries throughout the next 2 weeks.

I then get a message that it would be shipped on the 28th which doesn’t happen and it actually gets shipped on 30 th... in the days following I call to get a delivery date so I can make sure I organise help to build it on time. They don’t give you the tracking number and you have to wait for the domestic depot to call you. Finally the parcel arrived and lo and behold the slide is missing my 4 year old is absolutely devastated that his birthday gift that arrived late cannot be used... the product is also shambolic it is just logs of wood...you will have to sand paper them yourself...

I am going to the trading standard with this if anyone would like to join in that complain I am happy to do it together. But I would avoid ordering with this company at any cost.

Terrible experience

I ordered and cancelled a climbing frame from Wickey on the same day. I received a confirmation of the cancellation from customer service by email. Instead of receiving a refund after 14 days, they delivered the parcel to an empty property and ignored my emails chasing the refund for 6 weeks. The parcel has been returned, but I am still waiting for my refund nearly 10 weeks after they took my money. I really am at a loss as to how awful this company is.

Amazing!!

Absolutely nothing negative to say about Wickey at all.

I ordered the Multiflyer through EBay on the 13th July and it was delivered on the 28th July.

The quality of the wood and accessories is tremendous and very simple to construct (with 2 people) as long as you follow the drawings.

I was in a panic after reading all of the negative comments but I could not rate Wickey highly enough.

Poor customer service

Bought Wickey Freeflyer for over £400 early June 2020. Order arrived promptly with no problems but several pieces were damaged/faulty. I contacted the company immediately via eBay where I purchased it. I received a reply a week later which offered a partial refund and replacement parts. I am yet to receive either and have had no further communication in spite of several attempts from me. I have been unable to construct this product throughout this time, distressing my child greatly. Poor service for such an expensive product.

Absolutely disgraceful company

Absolutely disgraceful company. We waited over 2 and a half months for my order which cost a lot of money and was told that with delays it should take no more than 4 weeks. My issue was not just the delay (given the Covid situation I can put this aside) but the none existent customer service and obvious lies they tell their customers. I received incorrect shipping Information after ringing almost constantly for weeks on end, they told me my items had been sent when they had clearly just said it to that stop me questioning where my items were. They then “misplaced” hundreds of pounds worth of goods, blamed the delivery company, then finally admitted they had never given the items to the delivery company in the first place. I was not even given the slightest hint of an apology, simply that “they were now out of stock and could not be resent”. I then had to ASK for a refund on the items I would literally never receive. The only reason they have any positive reviews is because they offer you entry into a prizedraw if you review them within a few weeks of ordering, before you could ever receive your order and therefore before you realise how much of a diabolical and untrustworthy company they are. Avoid at all costs. Absolute waste of money and time.
