Everything was quick and exactly as…

Everything was quick and exactly as promised. The shuttle service from the airport was fast. The returning of the key went even faster. The next time we'll take a car from Wiber again. Thank you!

Nothing but a scam. AVOID…

The pick-up went very smoothly and the lady member of staff was friendly.
I took my usual photos and videos of the car (in the dark) The car had 21 areas of damage, some fairly large.

Upon returning the vehicle to Alicante Aiprot on May 9th, the staff member, Hector went to the car without interacting with me in any way. He went straight to the rear bumper and pointed to three microscopic dots on the bumper saying these weren't here before. I don't know how he spotted them amongst all the other damage that was on the car. The dots were a cluster of three 1mm marks. I showed him my photos which clearly showed the dots were there when I picked up the car, albeit my photos were taken at night when I received the car so the microscopic dots were not very clear.

Hector totally ignored my statements that the dots were there during pick-up. He came across as dismissive, abrupt, rude and arrogant. In any case three 1mm dots would be normal usage marks (as per Wiber's Terms & Conditions)

Despite my protestations he charged €338 to my credit card for the alleged 'damage'.

I had been warned that if you don't take their full insurance it's likely they will hit you with a massive charge. As this didn't happen the previous time I felt it would be OK this time. Bad mistake.

If you are hiring a car in Alicante I strongly suggest that you avoid Wiber and go with a reputable company. Pay a little extra and go with one of the large international companies because with Wiber it is very likely that you will come away with a very light wallet when you have finished. You may also have the misfortune of having to deal with Hector!

Great Value

Great Value. Collation from airport was smooth and the Wiber office was only a few minutes away, once i arrived i went to the Wikey Smart Box scanned my bar code and confirmed my details and with in a minute the key i had the keys. the 9 seater we had was clean and very new. had no issue with he vehicle and drop off was as smooth as pick up. defiantly use Wiber again

Absolutely unacceptable experience

Absolutely unacceptable experience. They handed us the car with zero proper inspection — no walkthrough, no shared check sheet, nothing. Just “here are the keys, off you go.”

Then on return, suddenly there’s a “new” scratch under the car and we get hit with a €400 charge for damage we did NOT cause. €400 for a scratch that wasn’t even agreed or documented at pickup is outrageous.

It honestly feels like a setup — no proper handover process, no accountability at the start, but full confidence when it comes to charging at the end. Completely unfair and very frustrating experience.

Wiber presented a car with a lot of…

Wiber presented a car with a lot of dents and scratches and said it was our responsibility to photograph them all before we took the car. They did have photo's but only of damage not good panels. On return there was a small scuff on the front wing. My video didn't show this part of the car because it was parked too close to another car. Fair enough I'd taken out AXA Excess insurance so I was covered. However it's clear they put the onus on the customer and don't repair damage so I can only assume it's to make money. The damage probably gets repaired at the end of the car's hire life but at a much lower cost than the €242 they charged. Again fair enough but it feels like you're exploited for profit.

Highly recommended

Highly recommended! These guys are absolute professionals. The whole process was incredibly fast and easy. For the first time ever, we actually received the exact car we booked, not just a "similar" one! We are extremely happy with the service and will definitely rent from them again.

SCAMMER. Or you take their total Covare Insurance, or they will charge you a damage. They charged me for a damage I did not do even if I had taken a picture in advance.

Wiber Car Rental performed really well

Shuttle bus to Wiber is easy to find and the ride is short. Drivers are friendly and supporting, both at arrival and return.
Contract was ready at arrival, car was easy to find, and we were quite fast on our way.
Returning the car was done in a breeze. Again friendly, helpful and to the point.
Recommendable!
