Unable to log in to my account

I’m unable to log into my account and have been for some months. Despite messages and phone calls have got nowhere. I still have to send my claims via the mail. I have been with Westfield for over 20 years and previously been happy with the service

There is a clear double standard issue here

I was covered by Westfield Health from 2018 through my employer, a private school. During that time the service was good: I submitted my receipts for physiotherapy, acupuncture and general tests, and was reimbursed directly up to the limit for each category.
In 2021 the school was sold and the new owners switched to a different provider. I wasn't happy with it, so about two months after my corporate cover ended, I decided to take out a policy directly with Westfield Health, paying a slightly higher monthly premium. I made it clear that I had been their customer for years and simply wanted to continue with them. I even used the same email address, although they gave me a new account number.
From that point on, the experience was completely different. On my very first physiotherapy claim, I was asked whether it was a pre-existing condition. I answered honestly that it was, since it was already in their own records from my previous cover. The claim was rejected. Claims for acupuncture and other therapies were rejected on the same grounds. My history with them, which I thought would count in my favour, was used against me. At no point did anyone clearly explain that my years as a customer would make no difference.
The most frustrating moment came with the paternity/birth benefit, which had been included in my previous plan. I was asked specific information about the pregnancy and told me that the conception date fell before I opened my new account. I pointed out that the conception happened while I was still covered by Westfield Health through my employer, around five months before the school was sold. Nobody could have known that my cover would be interrupted. They rejected the claim anyway, with no flexibility and no real consideration of my circumstances.
What disappointed me most was the attitude. I felt dismissed rather than listened to, and I was given rigid, unclear answers instead of a genuine explanation. I couldn't help noticing a clear difference in how I was treated as a corporate member compared with an individual customer paying out of my own pocket.
If you're thinking of moving from a corporate plan to an individual one, don't expect your loyalty to count for anything. Get every condition and exclusion confirmed in writing before you sign up.

Hello Raffaele

Thank you for your review.

Please note that our corporate policies have different terms and conditions from our individual policies. When applying for an individual policy, members are advised to read both the Terms & Conditions and the Plan Guide before completing their application. These documents are provided during the application process, and we trust that applicants will review them carefully before proceeding.

There is a qualifying period for maternity benefits, which is clearly outlined in the Benefit Rules section of the Plan Guide. This information is also available on the policyholder's My Westfield account for future reference.

I hope this clarifies the position. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best wishes
Linda

Westfield Health is an excellent scheme

Westfield Health is an excellent scheme to enable one to get help, guidance and financial support towards the high cost of health at a minimum monthly cost. With an easy, in understandable English, means of making any claims. It is my own health blanket, reassuring and comforting me at times of great need.

Claim failed

Claim failed, as was not linked to correct association.
Madness when it was still vat registered, still had the correct qualifications.
A recognised business

But no claim, don’t know how much long can be a member when claims get rejected

The Westfield website is easy to use

The website is easy to use, the replies were very quick and when there was a query with part of the claim, I received an email with very clear requirements of what additional paperwork was needed. Once I sent it off, the payments were very quickly received into my bank.
Thank you for providing a great service.
