Mad Apps

I have been struggling with an application for weeks, and popped into Western today, where I bought my new M2 air a few months ago. Louis was a TOTAL ***** and got everything running - evening the most ridiculously crazy bit of software ever invented (Avid Sibelius). HUGE thanks.

I was at Western Computer Cheltenham…

I was at Western Computer Cheltenham and in real difficulty with a work issue on my very old iPad and one of their team was so so helpful - it took a little time too …but he was determined to help and he sure did …suggested an App download for the company I was blogging for which got me access which I could not get previously - relieved and now can handle all total use aspects of the Wix web site blog post download system….a great relief as just could not master the blog post system

Super service

My iPhone crashed during an update. Taking it to O2 where I bought it a year before was advised I might need a new screen. However Erin at the Chester branch sorted it with the minimum of fuss. What patience and knowledge. Very many thanks.

Fantastic Service

I even turned to a fellow customer and said "doesn't it make a change to experience such wonderful service"!
I telephoned the Cheltenham store and spoke with Joost who confirmed they stocked the laptop I was after for my business - The Local Answer. A couple of hours later I left the store with the new laptop containing all files, applications, etc. copied from my old device.
Joost was brilliant throughout - explaining everything necessary in simple terms. Clearly he was backed up by a good technical team in the back office, and Louis was also very helpful in the shop itself.
I would certainly recommend Western Computer Cheltenham to anyone!

Leamington - great service

Called yesterday to book replacement battery for iPhone X. Simon reserved the part. Popped in this morning and replacement done in two hours as promised. Were very helpful and the store has a great feel due to the friendly staff.

Have dealt with Western Computer for Business and Personal for 10+ years

Have dealt with Western Computer for over 10 years as a business customer as well as for personal equipment such as iPhone and iPad and recently a MacBook Air.

They offer exceptional service and competitive pricing. They have experienced staff who know their products extremely well. Today I had an urgent need for a business MacBook Pro in the US after Apple US were unable to deliver. Western were able to arrange a next day (Saturday) delivery for a new starter, ensuring that the new starter is able to get up and working first thing Monday morning.

Convenient location and excellent service.

Luke and Chris were both efficient and approachable. They are professional with easy friendly manner. Until I found them through the Apple website because of needing a repair I didn’t know that they existed. They are located in the Fishergate shopping centre in Preston so it saved me a longer journey to Manchester. As well as providing a quick turnaround for repairs they also carry a small range of new products. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Brilliant Products, Brilliant Staff

Western Computers Chester is my go to place when searching for an Apple product, in this case my first Apple Watch.
Erin, Assistant Manager couldn’t have been more helpful. She advised the correct model watch to suit my needs. I can only say she has the patience of a saint, with my incessant questions.
I will be going back in September/ October to buy the new iphone. Well done guys

Fantastic service I bought an iPhone 14…

Fantastic service I bought an iPhone 14 pro max and an Apple Watch. I would have struggled to set them up without the advice and assistance from Luke he was exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable. Luke was happy to help nothing was too much trouble. Plus you get an extra 12 month warranty. I would certainly recommend Western Computers in Preston

A gold star for Matt

Ive had a email problem on my iPhone for 2 weeks now called my service provider and broadband provider to no avail, went into Western Computers in the Arcade Cheltenham at 10:30 this morning just to ask some advice and got a lovely welcome from a man called Matt who had sorted the problem for me in 10 minutes to say I'm happy is a understatement, as a lady of latter years & not the best at modern technology it was wonderful to find such a patient cheery man on a Sunday morning who solved my issue.. Top marks Matt & top marks Western Computers for employing staff who really make you feel as if they are happy to help you and not that your a nuisance which sadly happens so often nowadays....

Help with an I phone problem

I Visited the Cheltenham store on Monday 22 May to seek help with an Apple i phone problem. I was served by Matt who instantly recognised the problem. I left the phone with him for a couple of hours during which time he resolved the issue, set it up correctly and added a couple of Apps that would be useful to me.

Excellent service, very cheerful, and friendly approach. A great credit to the company !

Top class

Fantastic, speedy, friendly service.

Went in after over 24 hours trying to unlock my iPhone. The Team were available, took the matter in hand and gave me a very accurate timeframe for how long it would take to resolve. I went and did various other jobs. By the time I got back it was sorted.

Superb service, I will be back.

Joost and Rob - Not all hero’s wear capes!!

Visited the Cheltenham branch after my 7 year old managed to set a password, forget it and block his iPad!!
Both Rob and Joost (hope I have spelt that correctly!) were both incredibly helpful and friendly and fixed the problem quickly despite there being issues with the charging port.
My son will be in very soon to say thanks to them both personally for fixing it so he can get back on his Roblox!

Oxford Store - Awful Customer Service - Wiped My Phone Without My Knowledge + Locked Me Out

Absolutely shocking - never will i trust these with my phone again!

Took my phone in for a camera repair to the Oxford store, unfortunately could not repair as the screws had been previously glued down (totally not Western's fault, I will take this up with Apple separately) so they cancelled the repair and I collected my phone and got a refund. I was happy up until this point.

When I picked up the phone, it had been reset, without my knowledge and I was unable to unlock my device. NOBODY INFORMED US OF THIS!

After spending all day and evening trying to put my password in, which I knew was right, it kept locking me out. I had tried so many times that it is now currently at 8 hours until I can log back in again. Western did not tell me when I picked up the phone that they had changed the password, and instead insisted that we had not read the T&Cs! Instead of hiding behind T&Cs, perhaps you should inform customers of specific important information such as wiping your phone or adding on passcodes when booking the phone in or collecting the phone - I REPEAT, WE WERE NOT TOLD OF THIS AT ANY STAGE. Since it was a Hardware fix, I assumed they wouldn't need to touch the software.

When we queried this with Western, they assured us that if they did reset my device (THEY TOLD US THAT THEY DIDN'T) that no pin code would be needed (Here begin the lies they told us)

After multiple phone calls, they finally admitted that they HAD INDEED changed the password without our
knowledge, and had 'forgot' to tell us when we collected the device. However I had no apology on the phone, and instead the employee at Oxford branch was incredibly rude and made it out like it is our fault. In this time I had no access to my online banking, bank cards, or other platforms that I needed my device for.

For a Apple Certified Repair shop, the service is SHOCKING! I've had better service on other devices from other non-certified repair shops. I will NEVER trust these with my phone again, and ill be sure to tell my friends and family to AVOID these.

We have already responded to your previous reviews so feel you leaving another review is unfair and harmful. Especially when your statements are not true.

When booking in an iPhone, the booking in paperwork/ T&C's do state that we may have to wipe the device during service and in-turn would reset any PIN codes set up. All customers must read and sign this before leaving their device with us. This is for our protection and the customers to make sure they're aware of the full process. You did mention to us on the phone that you hadn't read these T&C's before signing which unfortunately is your responsibility.

If you would have read the T&C's before signing, you would have understood that your old PIN codes were no longer in use.

We are very sorry you went through a difficult time because you did not have all the information but you were provided this on the booking in form. This procedure is exactly the same across any Apple Authorised Service Provider and any Apple Store. Thanks

They didn’t ship the products and deny to give me a refund. Happily PayPal helped me get my funds I highly do not recommend to order from them to avoid this situation.
