Welocalize is totally unprofessional.
Welocalize is totally unprofessional.
The company post on linkedin and other platform non exixtent job opportunities pushing you into subscribing to their platform.
Once you are there if you ask why the situation is not as they promised they immediately kick you out without any explanation.
If you ask for explanation you only receive automated responses.
After that every now and then they will send you email telling you to go back cause there are several new job opportunities (unexistent).
If you try to go back you still are locked out they still do not reply.
It is a total scam, it is just a money machine that works without producing anything. The people that managed to work for them say they are not payed that much and it is time wasted.
They all are fraud
They all are fraud, first I say that I'll not pay any kind of upfront, then after completing the work, they say that you pay the upfront fee.
Awful experience
Poor labor ethics
Shit company with very poor labor ethics.
Made me lose time with tests and security like it was for The Pentagon ( passed everything, nothing to hide) and then just said for reasons we will not reveal your out...
Maybe they just steal personal data...
This is a big scam
This is a big scam. They ask you to May a payment before they can pay you for the work you did. They continue to lie about paying and give you work without payment. They use alias names. They don't even deserve a 1 star.
If a project manager contacts you, you've made it, otherwise is a waste of time!
I completed their training, I passed all their tests, and I was even summoned for a live session meeting to start working on the project...and nothing. The meeting got postponed until further notice; and that was it. I started receiving automatic emails that had nothing to do with me, and no one responded to my tickets—a huge disappointment.
Horrendous experience
My experience with this company has been incredibly disappointing. I started working for them as a linguist a few years ago, and during the COVID period, I had to call the head office repeatedly to get paid—despite sending numerous emails that went completely unanswered. After that, I stopped accepting projects due to their horrendous invoicing system.
A few months ago, I received a job offer from Welo Data, which seemed to be their brand for AI projects. I went through weeks of back-and-forth emails, sending documents, etc., only for their platform to automatically reject my application after I entered my country of residence (which was in line with the job requirements). I spent hours trying to resolve this issue, but they ignored me and eventually ghosted me.
Soon after, I received another job offer from the same company. Willing to give them another opportunity, I shared the issues I had faced previously. Instead of addressing my concerns, they simply instructed me to fill out the application form again. So, I began the process from the beginning. I created a new account on a different platform, followed all the new instructions, and spent additional time sending emails to inquire about the status of my application, as they failed to follow up.
Once again, the person I was in contact with stopped responding. Shortly after, I received an email notifying me that my application had been rejected, despite not having taken any test—I had simply followed the necessary administrative procedures.
After reaching out to their support team, they simply replied (paraphrasing): "We can’t tell you why, but your account has been deactivated, and you won’t be able to apply for any jobs in the future."
I would advise others to avoid their job offers. It’s a complete waste of time, and they don’t have the decency to provide explanations or proper support. This has been the worst experience I’ve had by far.
I've been working for Welocalize for…
I've been working for Welocalize for over a year now. While the tasks are relatively easy and fast to do, the lack of them over the past months has been kind of annoying. However I always got paid on time and there has been a good support when I had questions or made a ticket.
They send POS for 1 dollar but if you…
They send POS for 1 dollar but if you earned a little bit larger like 20 or 40 dollars they don't pay. This company is shit.
auwful experience
Get started with your tasks ! Welcome to the Lyrics Translation Reviewer Team at Welo Data!
I have started the job a few days ago, after going through a month-long recruitment process, only to find myself unpaid.
Stay away.

🙄Do not apply for their remote jobs!
🙄Do not apply for their remote jobs!! That's a total waste of your time!!
After spending nearly a month to finish their test, training, and assessment, the process is not as smooth as you imagine. Sometimes when you finish one step, it takes a few days to update your status.
When I finished all the stuff, and moved to the final step, submitting my financial information. They will require you to submit your bank account, ID, passport photo, and your photo. In this process, the verification websites went wrong a few times. I retried and submitted it twice, and it shows it's done. Then I refreshed the website and updated my status. Guess what?? It shows "Verification Failed. It won't be possible to move forward with the process." At this point, when I try to go back to their main page, and no jobs are shown, I cannot do anything!!
I have also found that some people experienced the same thing as me. Are they truly hiring or is it a SCAM for getting your personal information????🙃
Scam company - Welocalize
A girl named Evalina Jesse has posted some jobs on Threads, and my friend messaged her to work then she has given her 55 pages pdf to retype and she said she will pay her $1500 for that work. But after she completed the work, she said her to connect to her Payment gateway manager and after getting bank details, he just said to pay $85 for ID Card and sent some ID card reference. After that now they stop replying. They all are fraud named Evalina Jesse and Andrew Nelson.
I wasn't paid for work I did for this company
I did a long editing job for Welocalize.com. Was promised 1600 Euros. They told me they were extremely pleased with the job I did, but then they didn't pay me. In fact they asked me to pay them 110 Euros for a code I needed in order to get paid (they said they'd pay it back), and stupidly, I paid that. I didn't get it back nor did I get paid for my work. In fact they kept asking me for yet more money for brokerage fees and for proof that I was a freelancer! (I didn't pay)
I think it's a scam, be careful!
I think it's a scam because they ask for the SIN and, when I pointed out the poor ratings on Trustpilot, they just shut down the application process.
Please be careful!
Disonesti! Alla larga
after they entrusted me with a translation and complimented me on my work, they told me that in order to receive my payment I had to pay them an annual membership fee of at least €200. obviously when I asked them how the work worked and what they need by my side, they didn't say.
Please don't waste your time
In the second week from december 2024 they invited me for a role, for which they "urgently" needed people in my country. I applied immediately and received the inventation to the onboarding process on the 24th. Because I was eager for some extra work and really wanted the role I did the whole course (~5hrs) on Christmas day. In the following weeks I heard nothing... So a few days ago I asked for a follow up only to receive this message:
Due to the overwhelming number of qualified candidates and recent changes in the project scope, we need to reassess our capacity before moving forward to the next step. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to include you in the next stage of the campaign at this time.
Mind you I had to ask for a follow up and they invited me... Don't waste your time like me.
One more 1-star to the collection
One more 1-star to the collection. I wish to thank everybody here who saved me valuable time today.
I did a data entry job for them
I did a data entry job for them. Scam, they want you to pay them $50 for a job you did for them before you can be paid.
It’s a dumb “job,” honestly
It’s a dumb “job,” honestly. So basically you apply for the job send them your resume and boom they email you. I was emailed a day later saying they wanted to move forward. I’m thinking im already hired because duh. However I wasn’t, they gave me a study guide that was extremely long, watched boring long videos about the company but im like okay. I studied EVERYTHING and got the point of the job which is clearly why I applied. Took the test I knew the answers were right and boom they email me saying I failed… im confused so they email me days later to retry this Exam I try again still fail then again fail again and the final time fail again. I looked ever the internet and apparently lots of people are studying hard just to fail, so I knew it was a scam and waste of time at that point. So basically they have you doing dumb exams and will fail you. It’s pointless honestly.
Salary far less than it claims. Never apply! RUN!
I see this job on a recruiting website. I urgently need a job at that time. So I applied.
The task process is lengthy and tedious, and the work relies entirely on luck. One month's salary is equivalent to a single dinner in a regular restaurant.
Deceptive From the Start
After receiving the application response email, I went through the whole process of setting up the Okta account. Then, they ask this question about whether or not you agree to the salary in the listing. There wasn't a salary listed. I'm not foolish enough to agree to an unknown wage. This is indicative of deception right from the start. I chose "no," and I guess they don't like that I paid attention to that (despite the job description requiring excellent attention to detail), and of course, they sent me the denial email :) ...
