Terrible Investment
I have held off writing a review for well over a year, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Ever since taking my initial investment of over 25k, Ascend has done nothing to deliver any ROI. They have shuffled account managers around, but it is always the same result. We started out by purchasing product that was so unsellable that I was told after months we should just return it at 30% loss due to restocking fees. We then had the rest of the product sit for months with no sales. There was no accurate reporting at all during this time. I had multiple warnings from Amazon for selling counterfeit products and unauthorized products. Ascend would never acknowledge this is what they were doing. Some of the counterfeit product was returned to my house instead of the warehouse because of their incompetence. My store has been deactivated, like just about every other store I know of, and there’s been no communication outside of them sending me invoices for monthly shipping label cost, which is ironic since we have no shipments due to being shut down. This has been one of the worst and most frustrating investments I have made. Please do some research before you make the same mistake. There are multiple honest reviews like mine and several Facebook groups of disgruntled clients all saying the same thing.
Please read this if you’re considering……
Please read this if you’re considering… DO NOT dump your entire life savings. This service is LIKE an investment. You wouldn’t dump all your money in the stock market. But if you have 20-100k to build with, then e commerce is the way to go. I tried those leaf gen things and they were too much work lol. This process s medium length to get sales an make money with e commerce, but it’s legit.
It works
It works. But here's my gripe. I made probably like 6 figures. When I signed with ascend, I forgot that we did partial rev split 20% so everything is good but I had to pay them 20% of my revenue and also had to pay taxes! Boo. It's my fault because this was the deal we set up.
So I'm updating my review after I was…
So I'm updating my review after I was upset because it was slow at first. But after 7 months the process kicked on for us. We are happy to say it's been working. Also be sure to check in every week with them when scheduled.
Please do some deep research before signing with this company!
*I am reposting my original review after removing it per Ascends request to give them a chance to rectify their mistakes. They only made it worse. Latest update is at the bottom*
I have been a client of Ascend for almost a year and a half. I have had what I consider an extremely dissatisfying and infuriating experience thus far. I have not received results anywhere near what they boast about in their Youtube videos, social media ads, or in the 5 star reviews on this site. I continue to lose money every month. I have repeatedly attempted to get resolution and to change my experience from them for the last year and a half and things have not improved. Promises keep being made but never followed through on. I would not recommend anyone ever partner with Ascend and that is an understatement.
Update- 8/15/23: Ascend attempted to have my review removed for not being factual but I provided evidence of the issues I've had and Trust Pilot reinstated my review verifying its authenticity. Ascend refused to edit their initial response to my review to remove their inaccuracies as I requested via email to the COO. Immediately after posting my original review, Ascend actually sent 500 units of product to my store very quickly. They did not communicate anything to me prior to this, the products just appeared. The products sold extremely quickly and I actually had the best month I've ever had in terms of sales. However, this has not been without serious issues. Shortly after all these sales, I received letters from amazon stating that certain products I was selling were flagged as inauthentic (skin care products) and the products listings were removed. I was told that if this continues, my store could be at risk for suspension. Ascend alleges that competitors selling the same products are doing this to reduce competition. However, I've received multiple messages from actual customers saying that they compared the product received from my store to products they have and mine were obviously counterfeit. I've since asked Ascend to provide me with invoices from their suppliers so I can verify they are in fact authorized suppliers for the brands. I've asked 5 times at this point and these requests have been completely ignored. In addition to inauthenticity violations on my account, there have also been multiple notices that I was selling products that required authorization from the brand. I requested these authorization letters from my team and I received a couple of them but my store manager admitted there were a few products I was selling that I was not actually authorized to sell.
The COO reached out to me after my review posted and promised to turn things around. During that conversation, I requested to have a meeting with him just to talk about a path forward but that request as well as 3 separate follow up attempted and they have been completely ignored.
Update 9/29/23: Shortly after my last update posted, the COO asked me to remove my original review and give this company yet another chance. He told me he would personally oversee my account to ensure the issues were being resolved. On 7/27/23 I wired them an additional $9200 for new inventory and was told the inventory would arrive at Amazon within 2-3 weeks. 2 months later there has been no word of this inventory. Instead, as of 9/11/23 Amazon disabled my account due to the inauthentic product violations not being appeal and they have frozen my funds indefinitely. The COO tried to tell me that this is normal, that Amazon does this every soo often, and that deactivations are just a part of selling on Amazon. He cited products that I never even sold as the reason for deactivation. He assured me that my store manager was on top of filing the appeal and that he would personally stay on top of him to make sure it done quickly and smoothly. As of today 9/29, no appeal has been filed. In fact, last week my ENTIRE store management team on Slack was removed from my channel without any heads up. The COO has ignored all my emails for the last two weeks and no one is responding to my messages on Slack. Im not giving up, I will not stop until I am made whole by this company and there are lots of others in the same boat out there.
Update 11/1/23: I have officially given up on trying to get any resolution from Ascend. Their legal team has ignored my emails for follow up for three weeks now and my Store manager told me they are not able to do anything for my store to include trying to appeal the deactivation because I am "in talks" with their legal team. So it seems they've opted to ignore me in hopes ill give up. Luckily I have the means to pursue other avenues of resolution. If there is anyone else in the same boat, look me up on Facebook and reach out and we can talk further because I have a very promising plan.

Trust pilot emailed me and asked how I thought this business was doing. Its been great! Not really sure if a complete breakdown is necessary, but my experience has been nothing but smooth! No complaints. I don't have any experience in ecommerce so I came in with the expectation of them being the pros, and they seem to be doing a great job. Hope this helps!
This company is a SCAM
This company is a SCAM and have done nothing as promised. I signed up with them to run a amazon store and it's been nothing but a ponzi scheme. The group they had managing my store was a joke. They purchased products that didn't sale or were over priced to began with. To make matters worse they started buying products under there name and selling them to their clients, this is where I started to notice my credit card being charged and products in my inventor just disappearing from my store. When I dug deeper I realized that I had almost 8K in inventory missing and they had no clue what happened and tried to brush it off several times. I stopped all new purchases and refuse to pay there phony invoices till they did an audit for my store to locate the missing items. This was almost 4 months ago and nothing has been done regarding the lost products and the money I have lost. After reading all the horrible reviews that have popped up since I started with this company, I have lost all hope for my store and for the money I have invested. At this point I will be lucky if they hold true to the contract and give me my buy-back guarantee. If you are considering doing business with these Jokers please turn around and run the other way!!!!!!

Making Improvements
UPDATE - The Ascend team acted quickly and after engaging in a productive conversation with upper management, I'm pleased to report some positive developments. Upper management acknowledged the issues and took responsibility for the poor performance as well as they have put systems and processes in place to prevent this from happening again, not just on my store but others as well. We had a postive discussion, during which they laid out a satisfactory plan to get my store back on track. Their commitment to resolving the issues and their willingness to take ownership of the situation has been reassuring. While it's still too early to gauge the full impact of the plan, the steps they've outlined have given me hope for a positive turnaround. In light of these recent developments and the company's commitment to rectify the situation, I am revising my previous rating from 1 to 3. I believe it's important to acknowledge when a company takes responsibility for its shortcomings and works towards rectifying them. NO one is perfect. I will continue to provide updates as my store's performance begins to improve. It's my hope that this positive trajectory will continue, and I'll be able to further revise my rating accordingly.

Original Post
STAY AWAY UNTIL I UPDATE THIS POST - I am writing this post to share my deeply concerning experience as someone who bought an Amazon AND Private Label store with Ascend Ecom It is with great disappointment that I find myself compelled to address a series of issues that have persisted over the past several months.
I made an investment of $60,000 for these stores with Ascend Ecom. When I first started on this journey, the expectations were clear: my store would be up and running within six months, and I was excited about the potential growth. However, reality took a different turn.
Despite initial progress, things quickly went downhill. By April, after making a modest profit, my store experienced a sudden drop in inventory. I reached out to the company for clarification and assistance, only to find myself faced with a frustrating lack of transparency and support.
For the past five months, my store has been completely out of inventory, rendering me unable to generate any revenue. Countless conversations on Slack have yielded nothing more than vague promises and generic responses. Every time I inquire about the status of my store, I am met with statements like: "We sincerely apologize for the delay in response. I’ve coordinated this with our Supplier Sourcing team and @SMA.Thomas will get back to you." Regrettably, I've received no specifics or timeline for resolution.
I am genuinely concerned about the lack of transparency and the apparent financial challenges the company might be facing. My intention in sharing this post is to shed light on my experience and express my frustration at the lack of progress or meaningful communication.
I implore Ascend Ecom to address these issues promptly and directly. The lack of clarity and the unresolved problems are eroding the trust that investors who bought Amazon and Private Label stores like me placed in the company. I believe that open and honest communication is crucial in maintaining a healthy relationship between investors and the company.
I kindly request that Ascend Ecom takes immediate action to provide concrete information about the status of my store, a clear plan for resolution, and an open dialogue with investors who are facing similar challenges. Until such issues are satisfactorily addressed, I feel it is important to share my experience with others to ensure they are fully informed.
Thank you for taking the time to read my message. I look forward to a prompt and meaningful response from Ascend Ecom
Sincerely,
Ryan

I have been a client for over a year with Ascend. Their wholesale FBA is pretty much the best you will find out there given their ROI and their access to sell certain products etc. I did my research, spoke to many people below who left bad reviews, and good ones. do NOT get involved with Ascend if you are impatient and want a get rich scheme. It took nearly 2 months until I got my first sale. It's a long term, sustainable business, but most of the people I spoke to were impatient and wanted to make $50k a month from the first month, if you believe that, then you are probably not a business person, period and are probably not going to succeed in this sort of business. Ascend was very upfront with me when I signed up, and said the problem clients are the ones who got impatient when they were not seeing sales from day 1. Sure there have been delays, i mean Ascend has many clients, but they have been selling through my stock super quickly and I keep investing more, so from a sophisticated investor like me, it's been overall a very positive experience.

The reality does not match the hype!
My experience has not been good at all. Based on the facts of my journey this company cannot live up to their promoted sales pitches. After signing on in September 22 the facts are my store has been deactivated since February due to poor metrics and shipping issues. All caused by a lack of proper oversight by Ascend. There is not enough mid level management based on what I see from my dealings. Other issues also that I choose to leave out.
Many appeals later, all have been denied. Lost inventory, slow moving FBA products, no response to inquiries. Sent them formal written communication regarding my account and zero response after June 26, 2023 when it was duly noted by my CRT.
They did offer two things one being another big box platform store but the application was denied. Second option of transferring an existing Amazon store will not work for me as it violates the spirit of Amazons terms of service IMO. This is something that we disagree on and I have researched this extensively. For my own conscious this solution is not transparent enough nor integrous such that I am comfortable with it. People are doing it this way and getting permanently deactivated daily for multiple account violations.
{If I am wrong I would gladly get on a Zoom call with Ascend and a representative from Amazon to clarity this as a compliant avenue for redress.}
After visiting the Texas warehouses in early July I have completely lost faith and trust in this company. What we witnessed did not portray logistics or warehousing expertise at all. Although the employees were courteous and working hard.
When signing on with any ecommerce partner make sure you understand the agreement. Don't participate in one that puts your buyback guarantee on hold if your store is suspended. This is a recipe for disaster. Just search the internet for due diligence before you make a decision. There are things happening behind the scenes with many ecommerce partners that do not leave clients with a feeling of confidence.
RESPONSE: Rather than go back and forth, I will just wait and let the facts come out in the future. My review has been condensed. Every statement I have ever made publicly is factual. The records show that clearly. From my experience the lack of timely responses when you request specific information is not an acceptable business practice. I clearly responded in a respectful but firm written manner regarding issues on my account. Three weeks and no response. So judge for yourself consumers. Fact is they seem to be struggling with the huge volume of deactivated stores. Sending in the exact same appeal back to back is not a good practice as in my case which further points to operational problems that are not a result of anything I have done.
Any friction is cause by Ascend not performing properly as per the agreement, specifically under the management section. BTW I also chose not to go back into the work force for personal health reasons, so still unemployed by choice. A refund would be great so I can partner up with Active8 or DRVN to continue my ecom endeavors.

Working with Ascend has been a pleasure from day one. Their team is professional, knowledgeable, and dedicated to helping you succeed. My Amazon store has seen remarkable growth, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The communication with the Ascend team is seamless, and they are always available to address any concerns. If you're looking for a reliable partner to optimize your e-commerce business, look no further than Ascend.

So like most clients I am under an NDA so I’m actually not sure what exactly I can say or what I can’t say, but I got a thing about how I thought the service has been going, and I wanted to share my thoughts.
Started very great We were selling a lot of household products it did slow down the reason I’m writing this review also and giving it for stars is because it has picked up quite a bit starting in June and already today…. there are great results in the beginning of July. I have seen some people say that the automation is awesome and yes, I will admit that it is pretty hands off but keep in mind you do have to take notice of your store and you do have to follow up with them and be somewhere involved in the process in my opinion. This isn’t something you can just like invest a tiny amount in and never look at it again I think you also have to be monitoring and learning about it but that’s just my personal opinion. The person who referred me to this company has had pretty great success and that’s one of the reasons why I signed up, and they told me that they have just completely stopped away and let the company do its thing and made good money, so I was interested, I am also told that I’m a control freak, so maybe that’s why I feel like I need to micromanage things lol. Anyways, it would be five stars if the sales on my store didn’t fluctuate, but I indeed have made money with ascend’s process
Let’s go in depth
Let’s go in depth: as others have said when you’re speaking with a representative for the first time with this company, they do promise and guarantee that if you do what they say and follow their advice that you will 100% be getting a guaranteed ROI. I found this to be true, and despite what I saw others say, I had no problem using the Analytics dashboard.
THIS IS NOT A GOOD COMPANY...KEEP YOUR MONEY AWAY FROM THEM
I've been dealing with Ascend for the last year. Started in June 2022, and my store was shut down by Amazon around November 2022. Amazon says that the store was drop shipping. Ascend says that they would never drop ship and that is not how they do business. I then go to look at the reinstatement request through Seller Central and Ascend has submitted MULTIPLE requests admitting to the very drop shipping that they say they do not do. That is the tip of the iceberg and many other situations that have led to this review. They lack communication with store owners (probably not wanting the owners to figure out this is a fraud), accountability is no where to be seen (they will blame Amazon for your store being shut down and say that they're such a large company they do whatever they want and can falsely accuse your store of anything).
The solutions that Ascend claims to have made in regards to my store being shut down are 1. open a Walmart store (which I signed a contract with them for about 4 months ago and still nothing has come about) and 2. they would like me to have someone else have the store opened under their name (family member/friend) and start the process over again from the beginning. This 'completely hands free' approach may sound good to most, I think if you approach Amazon with this type of logic and ask them if they are ok with this, they are going to EMPHATICALLY say no.
Yes, I had foul language for Ascend, on the basis that I have put forward $59,000+ in less than 4 months and my store was shut down in the six month. I'm pretty sure most people would be upset over this. My language was dictated through email because it is impossible to to get anyone on the phone from Ascend (unless you starting your store, in which case they are very persistent about wanting you to sign the contract and send in the payment to begin). I did once have a Zoom call with Will (saying that all stores would be back up and running in a couple months, six months later, all stores are still deactivated).
I want to REITTERATE/scream from the hill tops to RUN, not walk, away. I stand by the rest of my review.
Be careful with the fake 5* reviews, they look to be AI driven or VA's that are being made to post them. If you don't believe, go to the 5* reviews and search the word 'hiccup'. Impossible that 4 different GENUINE reviews use the word 'hiccup' within a one month span.

Six months into my journey with Ascend
Six months into my journey with Ascend, I am seeing promising results. The initial setup was smooth, and my store has started generating sales. The only downside I've noticed is the complexity of their project management software, ClickUp. However, I am satisfied with the service from Ascend and would recommend it to anyone looking to start an automated Amazon store.
Ascend Must Resolve My Store's Issue
I entered into a contractual agreement with Ascend Ecomm with the explicit goal of building a profitable Amazon store. To that end, I initially invested $30k of my hard-earned money into your services back in Feb. 2022. Regrettably, the results have been less than satisfactory. Despite promises of expertise and guidance by Will Basta and Jeremy Leung, I have found myself in an increasingly untenable financial situation.
Specifically, I was promised that the $12k in product purchases by the Ascend team made on my credit cards would yield a full return by 07/31/23. Yet, as of our recent correspondence, my store has only generated $1,005.99 in profits, of which Amazon may now demand this be sent back to them due to violating them Drop Shipping policy. This is a far cry from what was promised in an email from Founder Jeremy Leung on 04/11, in which it was stated that the inventory would be selling "by the end of the week." Months later, I have only seen a paltry return on my investment.
To make matters worse, my store has now been shut down due to Ascend Ecomm's non-compliance with Amazon's Drop Shipping policy. This was not a part of my contract or my agreement with their team. As a result, I am left with significant debt and high-interest charges that I am struggling to manage.
The $30k of investment funds meant for my children's college education was entrusted to Ascend with the hope of yielding steady and increasing profits. However, I have repeatedly highlighted the lack of ethical consideration and empathy demonstrated by their team toward me and my family’s future. I have recent correspondence from them trying to sell me inventory at a discount, completely disregarding my financial stresses and the fact that they are the reason why the store was closed - this only confirms that the interest in my well-being is not a priority. Despite this, they have the audacity to persuade me to purchase 'virtual' products that are highly unlikely to sell and are only more profitable to Ascend. So now I ask, where is the integrity and morality in your organization, and what happened to the simple act of putting their customers' needs first?
How can anyone trust a their team will be able to fulfill on their numerous promises when they have failed to do so time and time again? Moreover, as a customer who was promised a level of professionalism and dedication to my success, I find it unacceptable that my store has been shut down due to Ascend Ecomm's non-compliance with Amazon policies.
For these reasons, I am formally demanding a full refund of my $30k investment plus $12k in product purchases ($42k) by 06/16/23, as I can no longer bear the damage to my finances and future prospects. I have no choice but to seek legal counsel in order to recover my funds. The level of neglect in this matter has left me with few alternatives. It is clear that action must be taken, and I intend to pursue every possible avenue to ensure that justice is served. The resulting financial pressure due to Ascend's mismanagement of my store has significantly impacted my overall well-being, causing me undue stress and anxiety.
Ascend Ecom is 100% a Scam
I signed on for a store in May 2022 with a group of 19 others. My store has been deactivated since November 2022 and most others I speak with remain deactivated as well for dropshipping. Of the 19 other stores I am only aware of a couple that are still online, and they are losing money every month. This company is a total scam. I would RUN not walk way if you are even considering moving forward.

Having been with Ascend for a year
Having been with Ascend for a year, my overall impressions are positive. Despite some rough patches, such as a difficult-to-navigate dashboard and occasional communication issues, the overall service is commendable. An unfortunate incident involving an ice storm and one of my sourcing factories was handled less efficiently than I'd have liked, but I recognize the situation was out of Ascend's control. I am hopeful for future improvements and contingencies for such events. Overall, Ascend's service is satisfactory and I anticipate further advancements.

Ascend has been instrumental in my Amazon store's success over the past 10 months. Their ability to automate various aspects of my business, such as inventory management, has allowed me to focus on other projects while my store continues to thrive. The team is knowledgeable and supportive, but I do hope they work on improving their dashboard for a better user experience. All in all, I'm thrilled with the progress and would recommend Ascend to others.
