I had a great experience working with…

I’ve been using Indy for a few months now for my freelance work, and honestly it’s been a lot easier to manage everything compared to some other platforms I tried before. I used HoneyBook previously and while it definitely has a lot of features, it honestly felt too complicated for what I actually needed as a freelancer. With Indy, I like that the main tools I use are all in one place, so I’m not constantly switching between different apps just to manage projects, invoices, contracts, etc.
Another big plus for me is the pricing. After I signed up, they gave me a discount code, which made it way more affordable than HoneyBook. I think I’m paying less than half of what I used to pay before, so that made a pretty big difference.
The only thing I’d love to see improved is more finance related features. It would be really useful if there was a way to track cash flow better or connect multiple bank/credit card transactions so I could see everything in one overall dashboard.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend it for freelancers or small teams that want something simpler and more affordable.

Dishonest and ZERO customer support

When I first signed they had a promotion on, because they were a new platform, that claimed that if you signed up at this rate your annual rate was guaranteed to never increase for as long as you were a member. At my very first annual renewal they charged me the full rate and not the guaranteed promotional rate. After a lot of back and forth with their customer support they finally acknowledged the mistake and credited me the difference for the amount I was supposed to be charged. Cool, thought that was going to be the end of that issue. Nope! Second annual renewal, exact same issue only this time customer service didn't reply to a single one of my inquiries via chat or via email. Completely ghosted. I had no option left but to cancel my plan and go to a competitor. I am not sure why it was so hard for them to simply honour the rate that they promised when I initially signed up. But they just played dumb and ignored me this time around. The platform itself was okay but I would seriously consider looking elsewhere. There are more well rounded options out there at similar or better price points now. It's a shame because it has the potential to be so good.

Tech issues and zero response from customer support

I signed up for the free trial and was automatically charged at the end for an annual Pro subscription. That was fine, until the first contract and invoice I sent to a big client via Indy had technical issues – the client was unable to sign and pay online. And even though I had a pro account, there was no customer support chat feature available. I first emailed them about the issue on January 16 and received an auto-response that they received my email and would get back to me "within 24-48 hours, at the latest."

It's now January 27, and I have not heard back from them at all. I've sent 3 more emails and an Instagram message asking for a refund under their 30-Day Money Back Guarantee. Not a single response.

I've started to doubt if any humans are running this company, or if it's gone out of business, but still takes people's money. Not the experience you want with sensitive client details, contracts, and payments. I recommend staying far away. There are many better CRMs with real customer support. I'm at a loss for what to do, short of contacting my credit card company to report the charge.

Do not use this application. Overpriced and nonexistent customer support.

Do not use this application. We've used the site since 2022 and did not have any issues until this year. Like others, we experienced a massive price increase. For the past few years, we have been paying about $53/year, which we considered fair considering how much we use it. This year, the price jumped to over $200. A gradual increase could be forgiven, but we have an email from a price increase a couple of years ago that says we are locked-in on the $53 price. Going from $53 to over $200 in one year is insane. I have tried reaching out to support through chat and email and have never received an actual response after I sent them my issue. Their chatbot says they will get you in touch with a human, but it never happens. Awful company. Take your money elsewhere.

Be wary of Indy Fraudulent Rewards Program

Be wary of the Share with friends & earn rewards programs offered by the greedy company. They do not honor your rewards according to the terms. I've written several emails to this company without any response. You can find better alternatives to what they offer, even powered by open-source.

Indy WebApp is very limited, and the price model is way too expensive for what it offers. Customer service is generic and probably powered by AI, pretending by human.

Dealing with Indy has probably been one of my worst experiences in my decades of dealing with internet-based entities. Stay Away!

Ridiculous price increase

I've started with Indy when they were still charging $5.99/month then after a few years they've updated the pricing to $12/month - I said ok I guess they need to scale the platform. Then after a year they'd double the price increase to $25/month? This isn't the same platform for small businesses and freelancers anymore. I guess you could expect they will increase the price every year or so.

I've been trying to get my referral…

I've been trying to get my referral payment for 4 months now. They keep asking me for more information and videos of me going into my referral page in my account - like the screen shots and my account details weren't enough? Their customer support is awful. I won't be suing them any longer.

Avoid this company and go with someone like Bonsai instead

Avoid this company and go with someone like Bonsai instead.

Their pricing increases are unpredictable, and their support team has been completely unresponsive for the past six months.

Today, I tried to log into my account (which reverts to the free version if you unsubscribe) to access some old proposals, only to find they had deleted it without any warning.

A truly awful experience—I regret ever giving them a penny.

Poor customer service, stole our money

We tried to use Indy for our small (2 person) team, and it didn't hit all the boxes. This was more than a year ago. We cancelled the subscription and subsequently forgot about it.

We were charged 4x our initial subscription 1 year later and had no clue that was going to happen, or that we even had a subscription. Their support team has been next to useless, only giving canned responses and basically saying to pound sand - we have not used the platform outside of month 1 more than a year ago. They keep citing their terms of service, which do not apply to our situation.

Customer service is dismissive and only replies with canned responses. They are inflexible and condescending. DO NOT USE them or give them your money. They don't care about you, they care about making money.

Horrible Costumer Support & False Programs.

For the last month I have been contacting their costumer support to get help with receiving my PayPal program cashback that they offer using their platform and costumer support ignored several of my emails and even one of their agents has left me on read by the name of Viktoria which is one of the owners of the site. I have sent over 5 different emails to multiple of their email branches and no reply just automated bot emails.

Surprise Price Increase

After being a loyal customer for years, I recently got a surprise email stating that they would raise the monthly rate to $25. This is quite a significant jump from what I have been paying. They could have given more notice. If you decide to use this platform, proceed with caution. I plan on taking my business somewhere else.
