It's good

It's good, a single dev works on it so I can't complain much and it provides frontier models for free.

It works sometimes..

It works sometimes... 50% of the time the service won't work and it throws errors, the UX is horrible. The owner doesn't update it's docs or model list, we don't know the status of the api and so on. The idea is great and i hope it will get better.

Info for the owner:
Please search for another person which can maintain the service, so if you're not there, they can fix problems or help.

Thanks

It is nearly always down

It is nearly always down, and paid users are reporting many downtime too.
Didn't see any further fix, do not use money at least.

Horrible Experience

Absolutely horrible service. Found out about it on reddit, tried it, very bad. No models even worked. Clearly vibecoded. Dev doesn’t support anyone at all. 0/10 experience wouldn’t recomend to anyone

Horrible experience

I've had a horrible experience with these people, absolutely no support for the horrible, scammy service they have provided. I would not recommend even CONSIDERING using their services even as a passing thought.

Does everything advertised

Does everything advertised, and for a free tier, utterly amazing. Great for apps and certain functions that need API keys. Extremely simple setup. Would recommend to anyone.

NOT a traditional scam but it won’t last forever

NOT a traditional scam (they're not stealing money), BUT definitely sketchy and using gray-area methods.

Red flags:
• They admit to using "reverse-engineered upstream web endpoints" - meaning they scrape/unofficially access AI providers instead of using legitimate APIs
• Offering expensive models (Claude, GPT-4) for free is economically suspicious
• Keep code closed-source to "protect fragile routing mechanisms" - hiding how they bypass official channels
• The domain "ezif.in" is a cheap Indian domain

Risks of using it:
→ Service could die any day if providers patch their systems
→ Your prompts/data go through unofficial channels
→ No guarantee of uptime or reliability
→ Could violate terms of service of the underlying AI providers

My take: Don't use it for anything sensitive, proprietary, or important. If you just want free AI access for casual/personal use and don't care about reliability, it's probably functional. But for any serious work, use official APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.

It's basically a gray-market API reseller using hacked-together methods.

thanks for the honest feedback, we appreciate it.

kivest is still an early-stage project focused on accessibility and affordability, which does come with tradeoffs in stability at times. we're actively working on improving reliability and infrastructure.

regarding privacy and security, we take user data seriously and are working towards more transparent practices as we evolve.

we agree it's best suited for casual and experimental use cases currently, and we’re continuously improving to support more serious workloads in the future.

appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.
