Brookfields Private Nursing Home, situated in Littleover, Derby, was established by the Turner family in 1968, and continues to be operated by them. Our home provides professional nursing services for both ladies and gentlemen requiring long-stay or short-stay Nursing care, Residential care, Recuperation, Respite or End of Life care. We also provide a continual stream of bespoke social opportunities, delivered by a dedicated team of creative Activities Assistants. Brookfields offers high quality, individual accommodation - with en-suite facilities and with all the facilities that you would expect of a quality Nursing Home, in a refined and homely setting. The care we provide is also individual, and places a resident’s choices at the heart of everything we assist with on a daily basis, and their amount of involvement in our bustling social scene. We have a very stable workforce which ensures great continuity of care, with many of our staff having been employed by Brookfields for more than 15 years. We really take great pride in the service we provide, and in the community that we have created in and around Brookfields. With easy access by road and bus from the city’s Inner Ring Road, we are located to the south west of Derby at the junction of Burton Road (A5250) and Manor Road (A5111), and are part of the community of Littleover; our facilities are set in beautifully maintained flower and produce gardens, and we provide free on-site parking.

The amazing team at Brookfields have…

The amazing team at Brookfields have cared for my mum since October 2025. The level of care, understanding and compassion on some difficult days ( mum had dementia) goes above and beyond. On visiting Christmas Day we were welcomed with open arms by Lucille and her family and a glass to celebrate. My mum had been dressed in a Christmas outfit laid out by myself the day before and she was surrounded by gifts from the team, nothing was ever too much trouble.
The difference with this nursing home is that it feels exactly like home and a family. An exceptionally BIG thank you to Jody who sat with mum while I was on my way during her final hours, so she wasn't alone.

All the meals from the kitchen are freshly made and are so well presented and very yummy. I wouldn't of be able to find a better place for mums final few months if I tried.. A big thank you to all the girls we are forever grateful to you all.

Great Staff

What makes this Nursing home great is the people who work there
My Mother moved in this home a few days ago, it of course is a massive change for her.
I write this review as an expression of gratitude for the way the Manager and Staff helped, they just cannot do enough for you. Fantastic.

Brookfields are best!

Having dealt with the Brookfields team on many occasions I can honestly say that they kind, helpful, professional and extremely good at what they do. Their administrative department is very robust and nothing is ever too much trouble. The staff at Brookfields go over and above to help you no matter what is needed. I would highly recommend them. All staff are approachable, helpful and friendly. Thank you
