Wonderful experience using their reports. I used to have a paid subscription (now it is FREE!) with them just to get access to their reports. They are extremely valuable, specially for an expat like me, as we don't really know the market price of houses, depending on many details, like the neighborhood.
Using that report we were able to evaluate the asking price of houses and ultimately make an offer for a house we liked, and we won!

Moreover all documents were wonderfully and patiently explained in ENGLISH - life saver for people who are not completely fluent in Dutch!!

The website is very clear and it is amazing that you can download a report for free. The report was spot on, we made a very similar offer to what was suggested and got our dream house! I was also called by someone from the company to ask whether we needed further assistance. That was nice, unusual for a Dutch market where normally property agents are not really involved.

We received an excellent guidance though the entire process. The Walter app is an excellent tool to make accurate estimations of property value based on current real estate market information. Our agent was very kind, always available for us and fast-responsive for all our inquiries. Finally, he provided excellent inputs on bid advice. This results for us in a stress-free experience when buying a property.

They provide excellent reports with transparent data collection practices and intuitive information to navigate through. I used this platform to compare two houses I wanted to bid on and understand the market each of them were in; how much they were valued at, (re)sold for, and worth compared to similar houses in the area (etc.)
Great tool to compare comps & help you determine how low/high you want your bid to be. Definitely recommend!

As an expat buying a house in the Netherlands it can be quite tricky. There are a lot of stuff to take in consideration, working with Walter Living helps so much during the whole process. They always reply quickly, help during the whole process and help to bid based on actual data of the area.

Quick, clear, friendly communication.

Back in 2021, I bought my first home using Walter's trial period that was then available for just a week (it's now free for everyone).

I compared 3 "starters" apartments in my area, and saw that my current one was the fixer-upper I was looking for, in the city center, with some room for negotiations as it wasn't in tiptop condition. I managed to underbid by 15K, and added that to my "bouwdepot", for renovations!

The other two were "slightly" more renovated, i.e. in a spick-and-spack kitchen but terrible bathroom (reminded me of hostels), and eventually sold for 40K above asking, or almost 70K above what I bought my place for, for less square footage, and way further away from the center (!)

Glad to know Walter is now a free service for all, and thanks for helping me purchase my first home! Highly recommended for expats.

I felt very taken care of! My advisor was Martine and she excelled in her approachability (it was very easy to ask any questions, she was always detailed and precise in her replies), availability (my emails were answered within one day, but often within couple of hours) and domain knowledge – I felt that she knows not just the real estate market itself, but also how things are done, what seems fishy, what not so I could always rely on her advice. Also the app support that Walter Living has to estimate the appraisal value was helpful – we could see if there is a point in even bidding on the place depending on all the metrics that the app takes into account. Overall, very happy with the service I got and with the apartment I was able to buy in the end :) I wholeheartedly recommend!

EDIT: I gave a bad review before, but after Steven's explanation, now I changed it to 4 stars, because now I understand better how to navigate it, and how to find features I believed that were gone.

Platform is very nice, but UX changed completely and unexpectedly and, for me at least, is more counter-intuitive than it used to be.

However, it is still a great platform.

Thanks to Walter we’re the proud owners of a lovely new house. I was able to place such a thought-through and strategic bid with them, and I was quite skeptical because I used to be a realtor myself! They really helped me out in a great way, and are by far the most insightful platform in the Netherlands when it comes to discovering what the value is of a home. Would definitely recommend!

No need for an aankoopmakelaar if you don’t live in a crazy city, walter living has all the data you need.
