Honestly the worst service provider!
Honestly the worst service provider to deal with! 3 weeks ago I requested a refund as the debited me twice for the amount of near R2000. Twice! They told me to wait 7-14 business days, I did so, nothing was done - I emailed them and they told me it wasn't done and that I had to wait another 7-14 business days! They delayed it because they didn't want to pay out the money! I insisted on a refund instead of keeping it as "credit".. what do they do? They delay the process to avoid paying out! There's still money that needs to be paid out and I'm still waiting.
THE WORST EVER.
I cancelled my fiber in November
I cancelled my fiber in November. I am still being charged by Vodacom, today they debited my account for over R12000 rand unauthorized. What dies it take to cancel a contract. I have physicalcally been to Fourways and Nicolway to no avail. Contact me Vodacom, I am feeling helpless here and you are messing with my credit score....
Sim swap delays
Tried to do a sim swap and instead of two hours as committed I was told to wait till it happens. I mean this is a standard thing. Adding to my frustration was trying to speak to someone, their bot selection took like 9 selections to be able to speak to someone
Money taken. Line disconnected. No responses
Money taken. Disconnected Line. No Responses
Vodacom debited my account on July 20 for my payment and then on Monday disconnected my line saying my account is in arrears.
I called in to say it can't be in arrears because they've taken the money, customer service say the money hasn't been "allocated" and I needed to send proof to collections at their pnr address.
I did that and got a reference number, with the reference email stating mails are attended to within a 24 hour period. I heard nothing and followed up via mail. After three days I called in to find out why no response after 72 hours despite purported 1 day turnaround time.
They said this kind of query cannot be resolved telephonically and can only be done via mail. I was instructed to contact legal which I copied on the mail. I've heard nothing from legal or pnr and I still have a disconnected line despite cash being collected from me.
This is unacceptable and probably illegal.
We have our business fibre with Vodacom…
We have our business fibre with Vodacom - biggest mistake!
However, we were left with no choice because we could only opt for them due to Vodacom being the only company to offer fibre in Parow Industria at the time.
Our business has been without internet for a month and a half, with automated updates from Vodacom, advising that they cannot repair the cable due to it not being safe to do so and waiting for the City of Cape Town’s contractors to fix something else in the same location…
I’ve emailed and called Vodacom about 10 times now, as they’ve still billed my company for the entire month and have not responded with any interim solutions like perhaps providing us with a temporary router.
They just ignore my emails and keep referring to the fact that they will repair the cable and sorry for the inconvenience.
This is also not the first time that we’ve experienced bad customer service and billing issues and just getting basic requests right! Once this is all over - I will be looking at alternatives. They’ve had the monopoly for so many years and have unfortunately dropped the ball.
Spent a week without network and no…
Spent a week without network and no communication from Vodacom whatsoever. I am positive Vodacom is about to loose a lot of customers from Johannesburg South because what are we paying for exactly? Yoh I am tired of complaining about Vodacom
Your internet is very poor it never…
Your internet is very poor it never work smoothly and yet Vodacom is too expensive 🫰🏾 for no reason. I'll do a SIM swap if this doesn't improve
Miss sold a data Package, it never worked and no refund
We bought an eSIM data and talk package. It never worked the whole time, the data would not load. They kept saying it was a known internal problem so why sell it to me?! We are trying to get a refund but they won’t even communicate. Shocking service.
Bad bad bad!
Bad bad bad!! My fibre is 7 days off. I phone and after many minutes to hold on nearly 1 hour, they said my line is cut off! But we owe not a cent. Everything is deducted via debit order at bank. Now the problem is with the tecnisions they said! How long will they take to fix my line! I think now to look for another provider, we cant go on like this!!
Fiber to Home Vodacom
Fiber to Home Vodacom
I had a fiber problem and I received exceptional service from Vodacom the lengths they went to to assist was amazing and they sorted out my issue quickly - I wish I had these agents names so that I personally could name them - WELL DONE VODACOM
If there was a way to give Vodacom no…
If there was a way to give Vodacom no stars I would .. your customer service is pathetic.
I lost access to a number that went into vodapay
I lost access to a number that went dormant. Its linked to my ID number on the vodapay app now no one can help me delete the old account linked to the number. I called I emailed I chatted to the bot and help agent Puseletso Gladys Lijo she just stopped replying when i said I called and emailed already i am being refered to different departments that cant help i want my profile deleted i dont have the number i used before anymore
They too big. I actually hate them. theres enough competition and competitive networks.
They too big, they still over the top expensive, their App is one of the worst, on my work place, our vodacom Tower also dies when our electricity fails. back up batteries, stolen? replace it. we pay our money every month. no questions asked. Return our back up service. return your pride in your product and service delivery to your customers, not your moerse Board and sponsorships programs.
Vodacom Fiber is not worth using
I have recently had a horrible experience with their customer service which is dismal to say the least. I have been experiencing issues with my router and for 4 days have been struggling to get assistance. Each day I get told that I have to wait another 24 hours after which I have not received any correspondence or update. I am being left with no fiber which Im still paying for. And there is no help, no escalation point, no further contact. I have been met with countless excuses as to why I have not been helped. I am currently trying to switch providers because they are the worst. Highly frustrated, disappointed and will never use them again

I've given a star as it's impossible to give negative ratings. There exists no company as frustrating as Vodacom. Trying to cancel my Vodafone insurance but the only numbers available xan ONLY be contacted from a Vodacom number. Have had Vodacom employees hang up on me 3 times today. Avoid this USELESS company like the plague.
Utterly appalled by Client Service and…
Utterly appalled by Client Service and lack of care!!!
I've been a loyal client to Vodacom for many years.
In May 2025 I took up an home internet device to my existing contract.
I approached Vodacom Table Bay Mall (Cape Town) regarding WiFi options as my area wasn't yet fibre ready. My first question to the consultant was, "will this device work in my area as my wife WFH and it's crucial to have a stable connection and proper speed". He started typing away and I assumed was checking the connection status or something in the said area. He swiftly respond saying, "yes, I don't foresee any issues".
I could only get this specific device (plug and play) on a three year contract and not month to month which I hoped for in case there's any issues and I can cancel but I signed as I was desperate to make things easier for my wife.
I left happy and was eager to get it set up. About a week, maybe two weeks passed when the (speeds were ok'ish) connection issues started. I've made several calls to customer care regarding the issue and I assumed tickets was being logged. I was told that they are rebooting the device remotely and changing some settings on their end and I need to unplug the device for about 10 minutes.
Multiple occasions I've called but the issues persisted.
In the interim we spend lots of money on data bundles using the hotspot feature for work and entertainment. My wife has took a WiFi deal with another provider as a last resort.
On the 8th of April 2026 I approached the Table Bay Mall branch for assistance in the matter. The consultant logged a ticket but there was no response ever since.
Forward 23 June 2026 I call Vodacom cancellation department to see if there's any chance to get this cancelled or swapped and get fibre installed as my area is now fibre ready. I was told I'm going to pay a cancellation fee of roughly R15000 which I obviously said no and I don't have that kind of money lying around. How can you expect me to pay that kind of money for something that's not my fault and I've logged several complaints I asked the lady? This was clearly an issue with Vodacom infrastructure.
I was told to approach the Table Mall store for assistance in the matter. That same day 23 June 2026 I went to the store and was told they can't help, however the consultant was kind enough to contact support from her personal cellphone to seek guidance. The lady I spoke was going to call back the 24th June 2026. No call was received to this day.
I called back on the 24th, was transferred to a different department and eventually spoke to the floor manager which was of great assistance explaining everything and she don't see why I need to pay a cancellation fee for what is clearly an issue on their end, from what they can see, the 5G towers in my specific area are down, I can even ask for credit for the months that have passed that I couldn't use the device. Getting money back is the least of my concerns.
The floor manager then guided me through to IT department and there I spoke with a lady named Happy. She explained the process and the necessary procedures that needs to be followed and I agreed to this. I was told it normally takes about a week to get this kind of Matter resolved but she will update me within 24 to 48hrs.
No call was received or I might have missed it but surely there are other forms of communication as they have all my personal information.
Today 1 July 2026 I called the cancellation department and I'm being told that I need to contact customer care. This was breaking point, I'm being transferred from one department to the next and no one can assist. I started raising my voice yet remained civil as this was beyond pure frustration.
Customer care then logs yet another ticket as this is the only way they can assist apparently.
I called cancellations back immediately and demanded to speak with someone senior within the next 24hrs or I am forced to take matters further.
As a person that work in sales, I understand the importance of customer service. I go above and beyond to deliver world class service to my clients.
Vodacom clearly lack this type of service.
I expect this matter to be resolved by the end of this week. I will be kind enough to let it run until the end of the second week of July for "processes and procedures". After this I am forced to seek legal advice
I will not pay another two years for something I can't use!!!
My anytime airtime is disappearing cent…
My anytime airtime is disappearing cent by cent. An agent "stopped" it, but it is stil disappearing. Their service is pathetic.
Saturday 20 June [cont from 19 June]
Saturday 20 June [cont from 19 June]
After being called by a Vodacom agent yesterday, who hadn't done his homework before he called me and wanted me to hold while he checked my file! Which i didnt and asked him to call me back once he had, and which he did 3 hrs later - said agent apologized and confirmed that the matter had been resolved and that a debit of R660 would be reversed.
This morning the calls from VVM debt collection agency started AGAIN!!!
What disgusts and terrifies me further is that VODACOM has handed my bank account details to VVM WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, WITHOUT HAVING CALLED ME TO CONFIRM THE STATUS OF MY ACCOUNT BEFORE SELLING MY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY!
This is a violation of the POPI Act and ********.
Vodacom, in this economic climate, you simply cannot afford bad press. Call your debt collecting dogs off!!!
The fact that they do not automatically…
The fact that they do not automatically opt you in to be able to include caller ID but add it as an additional charge is absurd.
