HORRIBLE customer service and NOT RELIABLE
Was okay at first but then things started going wrong and every experience with customer service left me more and more frustrated, not helping me fix the problem and not treating me as a customer but more as a number. They didn’t understand half the time what I was trying to get done or ask about, and the other half the time they just straight up told me no we can’t do anything to help you. I have a ton of chat screenshots with proof of all the different things that they said to me, conflicting, and they have absolutely no transparency on what their whole system and billing structure is. A lot of the cameras malfunctioned a lot of the time, I had to turn off some of the functions completely for several months due to it going off every two minutes with nothing there. They charge you up the wazoo 4 equipment that doesn’t even have the quality that they boast about and upsell you on, and the tech visits are not as they explained either. Super unreliable, horrible customer service, lower quality equipment than advertised and promised, and no ability to cancel the service without paying a ton of money that’s not even worth it. DO NOT GET VIVINT!!! Go with something else😓

Buyer beware. Just go with ring or adt this alarm is horrible. And they don't actually monitor your alarm. Equipment will fail before your 1st year of having alarm and the fees to have a tech come out are dumb if you're Equipment wasn't so raggedy it would still be working. I finally just removed my doorbell and put my ring doorbell back up. This company is a rip off a scam. Don't do it...

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a company - the salesman knocked at our door at 9pm. Why so late / no idea. He was persistent and came back over and over and over. Because of his persistence my wife listened to his sales pitch. And to be honest it sounded great. Good product. Good service. They even offered to buy back our contract from a competitor- now we are in and getting deeper as I unfortunately believed the pitch. Nothing but nightmares since. Bad install - wires unprofessional run along interior walls. Camera too high to spot people in the back yard. A drive way camera set up directly below a competitor camera without speaking to us about install location?
He did correct the issue sort of. But he broke the existing camera and left a big gapping hole around the newly installed camera. ??
His solution was to use cardboard on an exterior wall exposed to the elements? Yes seriously.
None of the promises made by the sales person came true. The old ADT sensors don’t work with Vivint and the solution was to add 1 break glass for a 4 room upstairs area? Seriously- . We had all windows protected with ADT - now the sensors don’t work and Vivint is having a heart attack about replacing them stating our monthly cost will be too much. Oh the solution after several hours was to give us 15 off a month for a few years?? What about protecting the whole house as promised??? Now an entire second floor is very minimally protected.
Now we are still waiting on the buy out and getting the run around day after day after day and yet not resolved because now we owe ADT too much - I’m very confused. They knocked on my door. They gave me the deal - and now back peddle every time I try to resolve the issue. We are still waiting. I have to initiate communication and get the run around.

I could not recommend this company to my worst enemy. Oh I forgot to mention the installer broke my old ADT system when he tore it out so now I’m out that as well.
I do believe the security system is good and will potentially be great - but the rest is beyond terrible.
I’d love to get this resolved immediately so that my experience of this company improves but I unfortunately as the days go by without resolution I don’t believe that will be the case.

the patient help we received when setting up our cell phones and home monitor was the best. Vivint offers much better service and experienced techs than our previous ADT system.
Added a hidden contract extension
We signed a two year contract with vivent at our old address. we are almost at the end of that two years and decided we didn't want to pay them the seventy dollars a month aymore.
Last year we had our service located to our new address. When I called today to cancel our service, they told me that we had a 46 month contract, with 39 months left to go.
Apparently, when we signed the paperwork for the installation and the move, they added two more year to our contract.

Guys with limited education are putting in security and running wires!!! They ruined my siding, a $40000.00 screw up!! All because tech was on the phone with his girfriend all day! He removed it but didn't properly reinstall it and moisture got behind it and it's now buckled and all has to be replaced. They will not let you speak with their insurance provider, guessing they dont have one. Run!!!! Way too much to get the same thing at Amazon. Save yourself a $45000.00 mistake!!!
