Avoid

Avoid! Had a car crash and customer service did nothing to help. On one side, the doors couldn't open, we felt unsafe driving as there was a hole from inside on the door, with just tape around the doors. Our grandad was in the car during the crash and felt severe stress, and we still weren't able to receive any compensation. After promising another car, they told us the next day to keep waiting and said there were no cars left, so we had to drive the rest of the holiday with a smashed up car. The holiday was ruined. Terrible service, would recommend to avoid!

Vivarent are liers

Vivarent are liers, stealers & thieves. Get your way back from them.
I gave 300€ for insurancy, money that will get me back days later. They never gave my money back !They told me that they did everything, that I need to speak to my bank ! At the end they will never mail me !
I got full documents and mails
Please gatr away from those thieves !

Awesome experience at BDS

I rented at bds airport. Not only was it the best price but the service and staff were fantastic. Beautiful new car and great overall experience. Bravo and Grazie!

Avoid this supplier, they will leave you stranded without explanation

We hired a car from Rome Termini to be dropped off at Naples airport
We arrived on time and were told the car we had hired (a large SUV for a party of 5 plus some cases) wasn't available.

However there was a large SUV sitting in their spot waiting to be driven. We assume they were not prepared to release it for a one way rental to Naples.

The operative tried to blame us for arriving late - but we were not and when challenged he backed down but said there was nothing else they will do for us.

He then told us to ring our provider( Discover cars) in the UK for them to sort it out.

I rang the Discover Cars who asked to speak to the viva rental agent who was unwilling to offer them any explanation.

I was then suddenly offered a Polo by vivarental- which was absolutely too small- we could not fit it there.

Discover cars then took over. They were found us a similar car but at 3xthe price !!

After a lot of complaining I managed to get the booking adjusted by discover cars to another class of car but we had to wait several hours in the train station for it to be readied.

Discover cars said I could file a claim for the additional cost but a refund was not guaranteed.

Vivarental is clearly a very dodgy outfit willing to strand tourists without a conscience. I strongly recommend you avoid this supplier at all costs.

After recieving the car and turning it…

After recieving the car and turning it on, a notification saying battery low was shown, 2 mins afterwards was the battery dead and the car couldn't be turned on anymore. They took the car to change the battery and said it will only take 10 mins to fix it. We waited more than an hour! standing under the sun in the parking lot with our baggage next to us waiting for the "10 mins" to be over. They refused giving us an alternative car. Very bad service! Never again!

Terrible customer service let alone the…

Terrible customer service let alone the car! I have booked BMW, but it was changed the last minute to SEAT. No partial refund or replacement as promised (in a day or two). They are advertising nice fleet of cars which probably don’t exist. Unreasonable and unprofessional, I don’t appreciate unfair business so never again! Avoid to save yourself a lot of trouble.

Poor service, period.

Reserved a car 6 months in advance. Confirmed car the day before, but...car that was offered was wrong category and had to pick up a car at another location. Car had been involved in an accident, but was the only car available! Wasted much of my vacation time. Avoid at all costs.

The two stars are a bit too much

The two stars are a bit too much. The initial renting price (i rented via booking.com) was 12 euros but i discovered a teen, under 25y driver fee of 40 euros which was dumb because there was no mention of this thing. There is only one guy at their office in Roma Termin who was never there and u had to call him. Also, the returning of the initial deposit is a little weird because there should be someone to return your deposit when u return the car. The guy will tell you something about "automated return" but I'll see when that will happen (i returned the car shortly before this review is written). I will add a comment to this review when i get my deposit back.
Another thing is that they say in the rent offer that the returnable deposit is 100 euros, actually is 300 if you give your debit card and 1000 if you give your credit card.
To add a closing note, don't rent a car form there guys bases only on an initial price because you never know what can u be taxed for. If you have the money for it go rent a car from an established and reccomended rental company.
EDIT: Well, against my fears, I got the deposit back, those 300 euro I told you about. I think I know how they return it, to be more specific they dont take the money from your card (credit or debit) and move it into theirs, they block that certain amount and every bank returns that blocked amount if the entity that block the money does not 'claim' it, to put it that way. I believe that If the rental company does indeed find some damage to the car they take the deposit for good, but is wasn't the case with my rented car. Maybe that's why some people complained the deposit was not received, it takes about a week (it depends on every bank's protocol) for the money to be automaticly unlocked. I suspect the rental company did this to avoid any extra fees when i comes to transfering the money back to you.

Terrible company and fraud

Terrible company. We had to pay a lot more for the rent of the car when we came to pick up the car. We also NEVER got our deposit back. Not possible to contact them either. Total scam and fraud. Would pay more for another company as this is the most expensive one in the end.

Awful company and costumer support

They accused me of making damage to the car that I have not done and collect 200€ from my account, without informing me or with my consent. And yes I do know that we all agree in advance to be collected for damages that we might make. But I have made none and they have provided no evidence that I made them. What they clame is that in the initial form this damage wasn’t marked, I actually believed because there where more than 10 marked so I didn’t check them all. But in that same form it was marked a full deposit… not true got pictures to prove it, even thought I retrieved it full. So if that same form was incorrect in the gasoline deposit, why do I have to believe in the damage marks? I had no issues with the car and zero accidents or little bumps. Zero…
They send me an WhatsApp asking for pictures of the car. As I had none, they didn’t answer anymore and collected. Note: I had a Smart Cover not a basic insurance
Good car after all. Awful company and costumer support.
