That's it, we have had enough of their poor service.

That's it, we have had enough. We have had a Visa Credit card for 40 or 50 years and the recent service has been abysmal.
Purchased an item online tonight, paid by visa credit and all went well until the verification process.....again. Entered the 6 digit code and appeared to accept it until next screen..... "there is a problem". Repeated exercise in case of typo - same result.

This is not the first time it has happened. It is now 8pm and unable to phone as they only keep office hours. Apparently it is 9p per minute to phone in the morning so not hanging on for hours. Will simply allow account to wither on the vine.

Verified by Visa worse than useless

When a security technology prevents the genuine customer from carrying out a genuine transaction, then it is no longer fit for purpse. Verified by Visa simply cannot distinguish between a genuine customer and a fraudster, and I have noticed that since the introduction of SCA under PSD2, it has got much worse. The problem is at Visa's end because when I call my bank to query why my transaction was rejected, they claim that they have not been passed the transaction.
Visa, there is proper technology out there that does guaranteed identity assurance in real time to non-repudiation level, stops the fraudsters and lets genuine transactions through. Time to upgrade your legacy security technology and stop causing frustration to genuine customers and lost revenues to merchants.

Incompetent Card disputes

I would expect more from the Lloyds bank I've been with more than 50 years. Is visa a separate company? Probably because it says Visa on the card?
I have evidence that was sent to the card disputes but I might as well have sent it to Boris!
I have a receipt that exonerates me from any further charges whatsoever.
It seems I may well be put to the hassle of either complaining to the FSA or taking Lloyds /visa to the small claims court but if it comes to that I will do it because such nincompoops deserve just that.
Another thing is why on earth is a phone representative for Visa able to hold a job there when he is not able to speak in clear English?

Avoid if possible! Visa allows people to get scammed.

I’ll try to make this story as short as possible. I have a Visa card from TD Bank which is another horrible banking/financial institution I’ve told everyone to avoid. During pandemic, I was starting a business and I was scammed out of $5000+ for a program where a guy claimed he had a full team to help me build a store properly on Amazon. Well, turns out, that guy didn’t fulfill what he promoted. Then, I got scammed by a travel agency who wouldn’t refund me for a travel package due to COVID issues.

I tried to dispute it with TD Bank but they told me that they have to submit information to Visa in order for me to get my money back. I submitted multiple times only to get excuses back from TD Bank so I complained to someone higher up and they told me that Visa won’t take the evidence because of a very particular reason (despite showing them clear evidence of getting scammed and nowhere showed I’d get my money back from the unethical merchants). I contacted Visa directly and they’re telling that it’s TD Bank’s responsibility yet TD Bank tells me it’s Visa’s responsibility. Visa basically washed their hands clean as if I wasn’t a paying customer with their partner financial institution for years. I would never use this Visa card ever again. I never had treatment like this from ANY credit card company but Visa. Discover and American Express never have problems helping me and was always kind to me.

Good day,

Good day,

I have been using Mastercard until i found Visa. Now i dont have the same problems that i had while using Mastercard - for instance since i use Visa the transactions i make are quick, reliable, very easy to make, because I have nothing but positive things to say about their service. They answered all my questions about the transaction process almost immediately from which i was very impressed!

I highly recommend this company to everyone that are still choosing whom to trust!

I'm totally fed up of the problems that…

I'm totally fed up of the problems that I'm having using my Visa Debit card when shopping online. There is plenty of money in my bank account, but online payments to some businesses will not go through. My bank says the problem is not with the bank but the business, and the business state the fault is with my bank.
I've just tried chatting online with Visa.co.uk (lady in the chat box was called Rose) to see if they can suggest how I can resolve this problem, but Visa themselves say they can't and I have to contact my bank........which obviously I can't until Monday. Visa were so so very rude that the online chat was disconnected before I had finished chatting......I was in the middle of typing a question when I was so rudely disconnected!
I've had enough of problems with my Visa Debit card payments authentication not going through

Always a bad experience

Always a bad experience. Absolutely the worst customer care in the world. 90 minutes to answer the phone, limited abilities to answer your questions. The operator refused to answer any general questions not directly involved with our case. Not even who or where we can get our questions answered. Changing over to Master Card immediately. They do not even deserve 1 star.

Do they ever go after the Fraudsters ?

A few years ago I was conned out of £650 for a Garden Shed that never materialised, advertised online by a company specialising in garden sheds. Lots of other people were too. I paid by Visa and was able to get my money back but not everyone did.

The Company concerned had set up several bogus scams over the years, roofing, gardening supplies etc. They used Visa so you felt safe. We knew the location of the so called company and the name and address of the person running it as did Visa. The people who were scammed wanted to take the law into their own hands. Why , because Visa did nothing.
This was fraud pure and simple. I am not sure if Visa ever withdrew their Visa facility from the fraudsters.

More recently my wife's "unused" Visa card started to have withdrawls made against it. They would investigate and get back to me...huh. Never did.

Has anyone ever seen a prosecution of these businesses who use Visa fraudently. I dont think so. No doubt terrified it will impact on their reputation they appear happy to let fraudsters thrive.

I am glad lots of businesses are turning away from Visa. They deserve what they get.

They suck

They suck, never answer the phone, can't understand a word any of them are saying, when you do get ahold of someone they just transfer you to another person. They'll send you something in the mail that says respond 10 days within 10 days of thr date shown above. And the date above is 10 days ago when I just received it in the mail today.

Fraud support

I was subjected to a scam by fictitious trading companies in the field of Forex after depositing the money through the visa card and starting trading I discovered that the documents of the companies sent to me are illegal and that the companies are illegal and not registered originally and when confronted with the matter they denied and continued to deal with me on the basis that the companies are legal and they told me the important profit. Many deals were opened and the profits increased I asked them to withdraw my money they refused and asked me to add other large amounts so that I could withdraw my money I refused to deposit and refused to communicate with me and my accounts were closed the same system of fraud in all companies.
then I reached out to my bank in the hope of helping to refund the money knowing that some operations did not complete 120 days from the date of the deposit the bank refused the assistance and went to visa company in the hope of helping me because the deposit was made through Visa company contacted them and explained to them my problem and the scams i suffered of course refused assistance and gave up its responsibility as a company responsible for visa card laws.
So far I have not been able to collect my money and I have not been able to communicate with the companies and the question how the visa company to deal with fake and illegal companies knowing that the visa laws are clear and no one or company has the right to deal with all the cards and deposits of the visa company or even use the company logo without signing a contract with these companies, if the visa company is responsible for the loss of my money because the visa card I carry and pay annual service fees protected Under visa laws.
Please note that Visa company is working a permanent update in its laws without complying with it and this is a kind of marketing for it only

VISA is allowing crypto.com to use their name to scam millions of customers into depositing billions of dollars into their crypto.com accounts with hopes it was a trust worthy company because they have backing from matt damon & visa... but do they truly? and if so then they are to be held just as liable for the scams being pulled by crypto.com? we as a community need to stand against this fraud being pulled and hold them responsible for the scams that haven been made under their banners!

Matt Damon, UFC, & Visa.com we are coming for you for these scams if you dont step up and have crypto.com fix all the issues with customers accounts asap! lawsuit will begin this week if nothing is announced on the fixes being made. you cant be a part of the worlds biggest ponzi scheme and not be held responsible for the fallout you have help create!

They are not able to change my address…

They are not able to change my address for months now. Which means they keep sending statements and new cards to total strangers at my old address.

Their rating here is VERY low. Clearly they don't care about customer service or they would do something to improve this. As a customer I take this personally, that they do not care about me, only my fees.

Bad support

My credit card didn't work. I called my bank and they said everything looks fine on their end and the card should work. Then I called Visa Global Support they asked for my credit card number and then referred me back to my bank. Absolutely not helpful, waste of time and I also don't feel safe sharing my credit card number with them.

Tried to reverse the purchase of a…

Tried to reverse the purchase of a kitchen knife from Huusk. Huusk took my money and avoided to give me order confirmation, delivery date or even a order number. Instead of being helpful visa through toronto dominion bank gave me a run around. I finally resolved the issue but it was extremely frustrating and had to go up through the ranks.
