Utterly indefensible criminal currency conversion FRAUD spreading like wild fire

The indefensible utterly criminal and fraudulent currency conversion SCAM has spread like wild fire in Europe it seems. Was in Spain, Greece and Austria and it was hard to find a place no matter how tiny the purchase where the Pay in USD option didn’t pop up. Used to be somewhat isolated. How many folks have any idea this is simply a way to get a 5 percent markup in the price? Who would KNOWINGLY choose this option? This is the way a massive mega company treats its customers: Like Dupes? What is the clawback mechanism for the millions of customers who’ve had the merchant sua sponte pick this option? Many do not even suspect that they’ve been rolled. Big defender of capitalism here but indefensible antics like this are abhorrent. PS Just posted this landed in Czech Republic first thing hotel did. Literally the guy checking in next to me was baffled when asked the scambolic what currency ?

VISA customer service strings people along

Have been dealing with an issue since February, 2024 regarding a transaction with Proxibid where I bid on an item through Proxibid for a local auction. I contacted the auctioneer and went to his house to pick up and pay for item. He contacted Proxibid to inform them to not charge me for me for item as I had already paid for it. Proxibid charged me anyway. I contacted VISA customer service and they initially took the charge off of my bill only to add it back on the following month. Every time I called VISA customer service I would get a different person and was told different stories. I had emailed receipts to VISA and was told they had received them. Months later VISA mail a request for me to send them copies of the receipts that I had emailed to them. I promptly responded and mailed those items to them. After a few more weeks, I receive a letter from VISA telling me that too much time had elapsed and there was nothing they could do.

Totally incompetent company.

Totally incompetent company.
A charge that I can't cancel because the company is not found.
I call the bank and they tell me to change my credit card, many thanks, another 20 euros.
Contacting Visa in Italy is impossible, non-existent chat, on the phone they speak in English and the call costs are worse than the charge.
Then they take our cash. Poor customer service.

Spent $120 on a prepaid card

Spent $120 on a prepaid card. After a week of sending them every piece of identifying info I get told they can't verify my identity. They then say that I have many cards on record with them, all of which they had verified me on. So I ask for a refund since I can't spend MY money. They charge me to refund me the money they won't let me spend. After verifying my identity while refusing to let my use the card due to not being able to identify me. If I am lucky it will be here in 8 business days. I will NEVER use their prepaid cards again. I don't normally get mad at customer service, but basic logic says that if you can identify my on the call to access the account then you can use that same standard to let me use my card.

CFS Visa...NO!!!

This is for the Community Financial Services Visa. They treat you like THEY own the card on not you. Won't allow to lift the 100th security block (apparently just using the card i general is suspect) and they won't let me without my most current statement regardless of the fact I haven't used the card in months. Finally got fed up and said cancel my card altogether. Nope, can't even do that for the same reasons. Next is a report to the BBB. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I feel bad for the person I speak to on Monday morning to cancel this useless card.

I bought the device from the Chinese…

I bought the device from the Chinese company Ortur. Shipping was to be done from Europe with free delivery in Europe. The package was sent from China so I was charged: import fee 19%, VAT 23%, and UPS customs handling. With a purchase of $700 Additional charges are $340. The Chinese company Ortur did not respond to emails. I turned to Visa for a chargeback. Visa did not acknowledge the claim because these are additional costs. It is clear that the additional costs are the result of the dishonesty of the Chinese company Ortur. Conclusion: Visa supports dishonest Chinese companies.

The experience with Visa's chargeback…

The experience with Visa's chargeback responses has been disappointing and unjust. Despite providing ample evidence, including photo proof of product delivery, the decisions consistently favor the customer's side. This occurs even when the customer has received the product and subsequently engaged in fraudulent behavior, leaving merchants vulnerable to scams. It is evident that the individuals responsible for these chargeback responses do not thoroughly review the evidence provided. This issue is widespread, with countless merchants suffering due to fraudulent customers. Unfortunately, Visa seems to prioritize the interests of their cardholders over the merchants, which is inherently unfair and unjust.

Do not use Visa!

Do not use Visa!! They will steal your funds if you don’t use them! Over $400 of my money!

Hi, and thanks for getting in touch with us.

Unfortunately, we are not able to reissue your expired card, nor can the card details be accessed.

The card(s) you’re asking about is not a Gift Card, it is a reward Prepaid Debit Card that expires at the end of the month and year printed on the front of the card or in the card details (virtual). It was funded using corporate funds.

Rules and regulations that apply to reward prepaid cards differ from those applied to gift cards or cards you can purchase and fund with your own money. Upon expiration of a prepaid card, any unused funds are forfeited.

This information was provided inside the Terms and Conditions that was to be read and agreed upon during the redemption process and was also provided inside the mail that is sent for a physical card.

We apologize for any inconveniences caused

MONEY STOLEN BY ATM WITH VISA CIRCUITS AND BIG BANKS

On September 6, 2023, I went to the ATM point of HSBC Bank in Cuauhtémoc in Mexico City, asking to withdraw 500 Mexican pesos (about 26 euros) with my Debit Card from Tomorrow Bank. The system asked me to confirm that I accept the transaction and exchange charges (about 120 Mexican pesos). I received the requested money i.e. 500 Mexican pesos. I picked up the paper receipt and read that I was charged 488.52 total for the transaction!!!!!!!!!!!!! I checked my Tomorrow online account on my smartphone and it shows 488.52 euros missing. HSBC's customer service explained that it happened due to system errors occurring at some HSBC Bank ATM locations in town using the Visa System. HSBC employee, Ms. Ramirez, confirmed to me in person that an incident had occurred and that HSBC Bank would promptly refund the amount wrongly taken from me. After 5 months, I am still struggling to receive back my money: HSBC constantly attributes responsibility to Tomorrow Bank and Tomorrow Bank attributes responsibility to HSBC fraud. The withdrawing used the VISA Circuits and I can only imagine how many people have been stolen of their money with this method. I RECOMMEND THAT GERMAN USERS TO NOT USE INTERNATIONAL VISA CIRCUITS IN MEXICO FROM ATMs.

Visa is the worst credit card on the market

I made a purchase with card for $2000 at furniture store. Had to get $2000 refund on product.
Took an act of congress to get my money($2k)from the visa account to my checking account. I haven’t gotten it yet, my bank(Truist)is working on it as we speak. This is absurd… What a worthless card. Guess visa feels like it’s their money and want to make it as hard as possible for you to receive it or move to another account!
This is total BS. I will never use this card again, and will change card companies asap. Screw you Visa… I hope you go belly up never to do business again.

One of the leaders in the global…

One of the leaders in the global payments industry. They used to be a revolution bringer and what they have done with the ordinary credit cards have made billions of people's lives easier. And not only are they doing credit cards, debit cards, prepaids cards, they are also doing their thing in the cryptographic payment industry these days.

No doubt we will see more awesome developments from them with their contactless payments, digital wallets. They are disruptors and adaptors to the growing demand for even faster, even more personalized products and even more secure electronic payment methods. They have the R&D for it to face these massive shifts in the industries and challenges head-on!

Their impact on the financial sector and everybody's live is pretty substantial, not to mention that they are effectively providing quite the foundation for the evolving landscape when it comes to digital payments. Innovation at its best. kudos.

Menu for customer service is a dead end

Good luck trying to dispute a charge on a Visa gift card. My card is registered but it will not take me anywhere to get help. No option to talk to a representative. Don’t expect to purchase any of these gift cards for any reason from now on.

Set us free!

I have had so much trouble purchasing using my card because of Visa secure preventing me, and loosing me the opportunity to buy something because I made the fatal error of upgrading my phone. They detected you've put your SIM card in a new phone, I was told by my bank, or got a new SIM card.
The rest of my journey was trying to prove who I was with a mountain of security questions, it was so stressful, I felt like dying, after which time, my purchase failed again. I hate Visa Secure and from what I can see, so do others!

I received $100 gift card today and when I called to activate it was told I had been selected to receive another $100 gift card and the charge for accepting that card would be deducted from that card. When I then checked the balance of my first card online it showed that the card had been activated and all $100 used. Thanks a lot Visa for allowing scammers to hack into your activation number and steal the total balance on the card. Avoid purchasing any Visa gift cards!!!!!
