I recently started something I've always wanted to do but thought I couldn't, especially as an adult...learn how to play the violin. I made attempts on my own over the last several years but became so discouraged and stopped.

Then I found Julia's Violin Academy. Team Violinspiration is amazing! Such enthusiasm, patience, encouragement and support to help us all achieve our goals during our journey to learn the violin :o)

I enjoy being able to learn at my own pace to very detailed and instructive videos, which gives me an advantage over taking a personal lesson only once a week. The videos, help aids and music to download help me interact with the instructor and others who are learning. Also the amount of information from basic to advanced learners provides a very thorough way to learn a difficult instrument. The lessons are enjoyable and well worth the cost--you can get out of the experience what you are willing to put into it.

There are many areas of JVA that I really enjoy. Watching others submitting their lesson video and then getting to watch Victoria critique. Getting to see others ability and the very positive critiques as they improve, as I realize my next steps!
And having a structured plan as to improving, Instead of just guessing around as to my next step, following the steps, gives me confidence that I am improving. Don’t get me wrong, the lessons are challenging and you will definitely improve. I am really looking forward to seeing my progress in the next year!
And the opportunities to be able to join others in the JVA community. I feels like I’m not learning by myself.

Julia's Violin Academy is an amazing group of music loving professionals who are willing to spend their time helping others in starting or returning to their favorite instrument like VIOLIN.
Their Videos and Lessons are super helpful for anyone and at any age. I have been receiving their guidance for several years now.
 Violin is a very difficult instrument, but with smart guidance and persistence this instrument will bring a lot of joy to your life.
The materials they provide are very valuable, modern and progressive.

I joined about a month ago & I can only say it’s one of the best things I done since I started playing back in 21.
For everyone who wants to learn how to play the violin, Julia’s violin Academy is the right choice.
You will learn all from the basic’s, and beginner level to the more advanced violin play.

I love the way this program was set up in giving you small bites of information at a time. It made it more realistic to digest and move on for me. The instructions were simple and straight forward with each lesson. There is printed material and video. This has given me the nudge that I needed for 5th position studies. I realized I can do this, but still have a long ways to go!

The video tutorials are very informative and I love that you can submit a video each week for feedback. And there is so much sheet music to choose from!

Canon in D Online Course.
It was well presented in an easy to understand format. The videos and downloadable information really helped in what to focus on in learning and practicing this piece. I’m looking forward to playing it with a pianist friend. Thank you Julia. 🎻🎶

I’m so happy with this experience. I bought my Violin several years ago. Always wanted to learn how to play. I took some lessons for a few weeks but then work got in the way. I found this class. I’ve been receiving emails from this teacher for sometime and just trying to practice on my own, but I find this class to be a wonderful, amazing and helpful, engaging and enjoyable thank you so much for the opportunity to learn at my own pace.

I struggled since last Christmas I had my violin as a present. I thought I could learn all by myself. But I felt frustrated. I am very happy now after deciding to take on this course. Not too expensive. And it is a whole year to learn. I have made great progress in just three weeks. My family noticed my improvement and are as happy as me.

Very friendly and timely responses, great coursework and interesting practice sessions. As an adult beginner just getting into the violin, it is very motivating, keeps me practicing and very clear. Enjoying the Academy program and the interesting pieces that are coming up online as well.

Just finished the Shostakovich Waltz beginner class. Now I can't wait until my skills improve so I can take the intermediate class. But being able to play this beautiful piece this early in my violin journey is wonderful! I love that these classes are offered at different levels.

I joined Julia's Violin Academy in January 2024 and would highly recommend it to other adults wishing to learn the violin. The academy provides a well planned and structured format that guides you through each step of the journey. Each lesson is approached methodically breaking down techniques to complete each lesson. Additionally, there are weekly challenges to expand your horizons, as well as weekly Zoom practices and monthly recitals. The instructors are outstanding and very responsive to lessons submitted for feedback. The academy is supportive and non judgmental, creating an environment for everyone to flourish to their fullest potential. I recently attended a week-long "Waltzing Through Shostakovich Master Class", which offered instruction for beginner and intermediate level students. The course outlined the actions required by the student for each day of the course concluding with a Zoom live practice to bring it all together. I have made great progress since January and plan to continue my journey with Julia's Violin Academy.

I am thoroughly enjoying Julia's course on learning Canon in D. Her courses are easy to follow and I am learning much from her through her website Violinspiration. I truly appreciate all of the free onformation on her website as well.

As a senior and a beginner, as I only started learning the violin in March, I decided to bite the bullet and try one of these classes to learn Pacchabel Cannon in D. Although it is going to be a steep learning curve as I am rather out of my depth, I find that Julia’s explanation of how to do things is very good and instructive,with each part of the tune being broken into sections ,although certain things like how to do vibrato I did have to look up separately. I know, that it will take me a lot longer than the 6 days talked about but with the videos I know I will get there eventually.

I’ve been working on the Pachelbel Canon in D piece/course for a couple of weeks. Julia has broken the piece into digestible “chunks” and has extensive notes and video for each segment. Her tips and suggestions are
perfectly clear and very very helpful, along with the annotated score complete with fingerings. The Play Along video for each segment is great and, importantly for me, the video settings allow it to be slowed down in 25% increments. I’ve found this crucial for being able to practice the piece and build up my speed in the 1/16th and 1/32nd passages. I’m an adult student with three years of experience. Overall an excellent course at a great price point.

I assumed as the company got bigger that customer service would get worse but i couldn't have had a more prompt reply and answer to my query. Great materials as always.

Easy to use, friendly, very professional, thorough tutorials, has help for all levels, fast replies to queries, live and online classes. Perfect for me, travelling a lot.
