Excellent prices

It just works for me. I actually get confused with different discount coupons saying 50% oFF or $4.99 or $3 or $2.5 Im using this coupon=NNFFKID but all of them are actually legit. Some might sees it a scam but on the marketing point of view, it's an effective way not to be penalized by google. The reports are from NMVTIS and NICB which are reliable. I don't recommend to rely solely on any report. Get 3 different sources to get the best information. mind you, carfax doesn't even show the whole story.

Very useful report!

The information you provided through your service has prevented me from buying a junk/salvage vehicle which had been repaired, repainted and being sold as a damaged-free vehicle. Would have been a nightmare if the deal has pushed through! Thanks a lot!

cheap but pretty decent report

I came across VIN audit while looking for carfax coupons. Out of curiosity and their cheap service, I decided to give them a try. I also did a little research and found them listed on the NMVTIS website as an accredited provider so they must be legit. I received my report right away and although it is not as detailed as carfax and autocheck, it does include title history, sale records, major accident records and Junk/Salvage records. In my own opinion, for a cheap price, it is an excellent tool if you want a quick check and would like to know if the car had been in a major accident.

Warning! Don't show accidents!

I did a search on my own car that I know had a minor accident in US. before it was exported to Sweden. I already had a CarFax report on the car that I could compare with.
Vinaudit didn't report the accident. CarFax does!

Vinaudit reports: no export records found and current in Virginia US. As I wrote, this is my car and was registred in Sweden 2009.

I only did the search on Vinaudit to see if I could get more information than from Carfax.

Don't waste your money!

Misleading marketing practices. Stay away

I believe Vinaudit employs rather misleading marketing practices by responding to ads on Craiglist and faking interest in your vehicle in order to get you to buy one of their reports despite requests not to be contacted with services. Very shady practice. Stay away.

Here are the facts:
1) You place an ad on Craigslist to sell you car, asking not to be contacted for services
2) You get contacted by email by someone pretending to be interested in your car and requesting more info
3) You reply to the info request
4) They then ask for you to buy a report through Vinaudit. They really have no interest in your car, they just want to funnel sales to Vinaudit.

While the names on the email change (I experienced three different instances), the text and responses to the email are all exactly the same, to the letter. At best, I believe this to be a misleading marketing practice where they misrepresent who they are in order to get individuals to funnel money to Vinaudit.

Worthless

I just paid for a VIN check using Vinaudit and Carfax. Vinaudit listed ZERO accidents on the vehicle that I was considering and showed ZERO service records. Basic info about the vehicle was all it listed, but ZERO history of it's service work. Carfax listed TWO accidents on that same vehicle, plus a history of each service that was performed.

Not sure if Vinaudit is fraud company, but based on what I got for my money, it was 100% worthless compared to the info I got from Carfax.

I was really hoping to find a cheaper alternative to Carfax.

Informationless report. Not at all worth getting it.

I thought of giving VinAudit.com a try to generate a report on a used car. I must say that the report was generated in no time and lacks detailed information. Even the titles are not shown completely.

In essence, I paid $9.99 to get the make, model, year, tank capacity, mpg, dimensions of the car. In my opinion, don't even think about this website.

don't waste your money incomplete records

thought i'd check these guys out and what I got was very incomplete. the vinaudit check showed only one title record, when it was purchased new. both autocheck and carfax showed 3 titles records. the vinaudit report didn't show anything about the number of owners, both autocheck and carfax showed 2 owners. vinaudit didn't mention there was a lien on the vehicle autocheck and carfax both showed it did. you really do get what you pay for in accurate car information. I told them I was unhappy with their service and asked them for a refund and was told sorry no refunds. save your money and stick with the better services.

Worthless

I ran about 4 different reports with this company and all of them came out clean. I guess I got a bit suspicious when the seller actually told me there was an accident (and VIN audit showed nothing), so I then ran a report for a car with Carfax and VINAUDIT, guess what CARFAX had relevant data like miles and an accident listed, VINAUDIT yes, yet again clean.

Yes, it's cheaper but worthless, so waste of money (you can check if it's a salvage title free online, you don't need VINAUDIT to do so)
