Change your courier!

Change your courier!! The driver didn't even ring the doorbell even though we were at home!! Just threw the parcel on the step took the picture and left!! Luckily we discovered it on our way out, checked the video coverage and it had been there over an hour, anyone who was passing could have just picked it up.

I bought a WATERPROOF pop up tent to…

I bought a WATERPROOF pop up tent to put my kitchen things in while camping. It is a lovely tent perfect for what I needed easy to put up and down . First time I used it we had rain and to my disappointment it leaked not a little bit a lot everything in there was soaked . When I came home I messaged vidalx to explain and as I only bought the tent 2 weeks ago I thought they would understand the tent is faulty get it returned and test it for themselves . No 5 days now and I'm still ping pong emailing because they are asking where and when it was used then they wanted pictures of the damage . It's not damaged it's leaking . Now they are asking for photos and videos . I didn't think to take pictures or a video as my priority was to get my stuff out of there. Very disappointed I paid over ,£100 for this pop up tent because it was supposed to be waterproof and used it once . Not the service I expected very poor indeed .

I bought 5 small conifers

I bought 5 small conifers , the courier damaged them . Before I even asked they were replaced and resent quickly. They are now planted on my terrace , they look great
And I would give the company a 10/10 service, and fully recommend purchasing from them

Awful customer service

I bought a vidaXL locker from Debanhams and it didn't come with instructions. I repeatedly had to inquire from customer service to get the instructions, which they were treating as the nuclear codes. They kept asking me for information about my order from vidaXL despite me explaining 3 times that I ordered from somewhere else. I now have a hunk of useless locker parts sitting in my hallway. Do not buy anything from this company with their terrible service.

So hard to arrange a return

I ordered a couple of cabinets and needed to arrange a return. Purely as i realised it wasnt what i needed. They are still in the box so not sure on quality but it is so difficult to get an actual response. the cabinets are £65 each but offered me a refund of £16???? Wont tell me how i actually arrange a refund? I will avoid this company again

This was my second time ordering from…

This was my second time ordering from vidaXL. I ordered an area rug and I am really pleased with it. I was kept updated on my delivery and on delivery day the driver was super nice and, as I live on the first floor, he carried my rug up
the stairs to my flat and took it into the hallway for me. Really great products and fab delivery service. Thank you vidaXL. 👍

VERY bad instructions and inappropriate materials

VERY bad, inaccurate and confusing instructions.
I have beed building flat packed furniture since the 1970s and I have NEVER had a worse instruction set. vidaXL are a global company so, to avoid the problems associated with creating written instructions in multiple languages they have created a single manual with hand drawn illustrations with no words whatsoever. The drawings are VERY confusing in places.
NONE of the parts or packs are labelled. You have to work out which letter has been assigned be using these drawings. There were some fastenings I never did identify with confidence - particularly as some screws were completely wrong for attaching metal posts to chipboard panels. The drawer slides did not line up properly with the screw holes in the chipboard side panels which meant that the screws couldn’t fit a completely flat this meant that the drawers were were unable to slide properly. I had to reposition the screws so that I could put in new screws which did fit properly so that the drawers could slide in and out without jamming. This is an indication that their jigs had not been brought up-to-date when there was a slight differences in the bought in parts. Further all the drawer base wasn’t properly fixed to the front or the back which means that if you put anything heavy in the drawers eventually they would give away something else therefore I had to improvise an improvement in order to secure the base properly.
I had to label every single part every single board and the metal parts myself. This along with the confusing illustrations meant that it took at least three times longer to complete the construction than I would normally have taken for something as seemingly straight forward as this piece of furniture .
My suggestion is that, even if you are an experienced flat pack constructor, as I consider myself to be, I strongly advise you to avoid VidaXL products until they improve not only their instructions which are, at the moment not fit for purpose, but also the materials.

I bought this through Wayfair who dealt with my order and managed the delivery efficiently and I know that they are not responsible for the source of my complaint OTHER THAN TO TAKE NOTE OF IT,

Corten steel planter nightmare

We ordered two large Corten steel planters and whilst they were delivered promptly, it took us 4 days to put them together. We are very familiar with diy flatpack (done lots of Ikea etc) but these were ridiculous, you needed hands of steel to bend the steel plates and there were hundreds of tiny, tiny screws that were really tough to get in due to the angles and items not lining up well. These planters were not cheap (£251) and definitely not worth the money paid.

I have just seen the response to my review but they haven’t reached out at all and suggest this is just an automated AI response to make them look better!

Another update, Vida Xl did make contact and have gone some way to meet us in making us heard and offering a voucher off next purchase. I do feel their customer service have gone to some lengths to make us happy and while I definitely don’t recommend these particular planters, their customer service were helpful.

Ordered a simple wall shelf

Ordered a simple wall shelf, wrong parts, wrong illustration, given the run around from customer service - ending online chats mid sentence because they are just rude, ending phone calls - I just wanted to return it and get a refund!!! no - not something the customer team can deal with obviously! only one person helped me - thank you to that person, processed the refund while on the phone, responding to your edited response, nobody tried to contact me...I can assure you, I will never use your incompetent company again! Trying to cover your incompetence by saying i was emailed, absolutely untrue, I have saved all of the chats to prove how unhelpful you really are!

Awful company

Awful company. Ordered through a third party website. Cabinet was badly painted and chipped when it arrived. Requested return for a full refund. Still waiting 3 weeks later for VidaXL to process this. They have switched their customer service email off so any emails I have sent in the last week have been undelivered. Such a frustrating company to deal with.

My mum purchased an extra large…

My mum purchased an extra large galvanised chicken coop. Absolutely rubbish despite being expensive! Not fit for purpose all bent and warped after only being up a month.
Complaints not handled, just a generic email that john has escalated the complaint- twice with no further action or reply. Still awaiting a refund!
Update!
Ended up agreeing to a partial refund in order to afford to have it taken down and disposed of. Dreadful company, awful customer service avoid at all cost! You will be left with a coop not fit for purpose after a couple of weeks. After paying to have it erected and then disposed of down hundreds of pounds.
BUYER BEWARE complete scam might as well shop at Temu!

Shoddy products

What absolute cr*p, shoddy products. Ordered a headboard mainly as I was struggling to find solid pine
Sold as "assembly required"... assembly required indeed, it didnt even have the screw holes. Thats setting aside the fact some of the wood was warped requiring some pretty heavy weights to ensure it could be held together
Oh, and then 3/4s of the way through... realise there is about screws missing. Zero quality control, evidently. Stick to IKEA is you want cheap stuff... at least you can assemble it reasonably easily
