Keep away from this company

Keep away from this company. They are based abroad and cost me £80. The driver only gets £30 of that! They have charged us twice and sent nine emails after I had moved house asking me to book another van!
Keep well away!!!

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. Do not be fooled by relatively slick look of their website. From our experience, they are consistently late, cancel appointments without reason and overcharge you. Also, make sure you read the small print: you may book them for an hour an a half, but it's an A to B service, so if it only takes half an hour, they will still charge you the full amount. To bring you back to pickup is a new appointment, costing you double. Avoid.

Fraud please do not use them

! Worst experience ever. Driver couldn't find the address. It took the driver 7 min to drive from point a to b but the trustworthy driver with no idea of any sort of direction pretended to be lost for half an hour so i could be charged twice. Also despite the fact I sent emails to the support van plus tram they just said if you aren't happy fill a complain up form as if this happens all the time. Not even worse sent a receipt of what they charged me for for a value and surprise they took the double amount. Not only the worst service but dishonest. Please don't ever rely on this company is a fraud. Now I'm waiting for them to return my money back what a nightmare !

Very polite and friendly

Very polite and friendly. Very quick. Excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend these van men which i already have to family members and friends

I booked Van Plus to transport myself

I booked Van Plus to transport myself, my wife and our pets to Southampton from Bristol airport on the 15/11/2017, wham making the booking I asked repeatedly ‘do you carry dogs and cats, I was assured ‘yes’ , now subsequently I was left stranded at Bristol airport after being advised the company does not hold the relevant licenses to carry animals as we landed from Cyprus !! I had to rent two 9 seater vans to be able to reach my destination.
If I was to read a reviewer who had had this experience I would be a tad sceptical, but believe me the following catalog of events took place over three days, the first driver assigned to convey us didn’t even work for van plus, the second didn’t answer his phone , nor did the third until the night of my booking to tell me he wouldn’t be coming because he was unable to carry my 5 dogs and 6 cats because he didn’t have the proper license. In the preceding three days I had repeatedly phoned and e mailed this incompetent company regarding my booking to be reassured ‘I wouldn’t be left hanging ‘
I have demanded my money back, and want compensation for the cost of the vans I had to rent !! Watch this space !!
If you’re thinking of using this incompetent company please think twice they are a bunch of money grabbing cowboys!!

Stay Away From VAN PLUS, YOU WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA

To whomever is moving I beg you not to hire that VAN PLUS.

The driver charged me extra on my door step saying that "the move will take longer than contracted therefore i will have to pay them extra 100£". Remember, In the website states any extra time it's charged afterwards.

Anyway, my move took me 2h15min to complete, after arguing with the driver that arrived 2hrs late for the job he convinced me that because l the job had to be done twice ( he would take to come back I would have to pay him because I had to pay per milleage) . he was asking me 100£ but I payed him extra 75£ cash in hand... because of this.

The job was done for 2h15 min I than received the Van PLUS service receipt with the total amount payed of 138.89£ with overtime 0£.

Dont decide on low prices because you will regret " cheap will end up expensive", trust me...

I have hired the maximum service of a full house move with a LUTON VAN with 750kg loading capacity, the Van provided had only 60kg loading capacity. They were supposed to come on a Saturday but because they couldn't get a Van on that day they have postponed it for the next day, even so.. they arrived 2hrs late. The money asked 138.89£ was taken immediately from my account first to secure the booking of 36£ and the remaining afterwards... I have bank statement that proves it...

I took pictures of the inside of the van and the plate number aswell to confirm that as a fact. I ended up with a broken washing machine. I have formally disputed that because the driver said is not his concerned the damage and the company also says is not their responsibility.

Well, They dropped my washing machine on the floor, the machine is broken and than when they finished moving he wouldn't go out so I would pay 100£ I refused but still gave him 75£. He guarantee me that the company wouldn't charge me any extra.

Next day i actually received a receipt stating just the amount I payed allready 138.89£ with overtime or extra time 0£. So I thought everything was sorted.

I disputed my washing machine with them, VAN PLUS say it's not their responsibility and the driver says his not his aswell as apparently "it fell".

Not of a surprise the following days I start receiving phone calls text messages and writing emails asking for an extra 232£ apparently for a "15min overtime and late payment???".... they threathened to take this to debt collectors agency... the woman wasn't polite, shouting on the phone saying to me I was talking "rubish"... lack of professionalism, respect and responsibility dealing with costumers complaints. the "lady" completely ignored the damaged they have made and demanded the 232£ extra charge for "late payment" and 15min extra......

I replied... YOU DO ME THAT FAVOR, You are asking me extra 232£ that is not billed, tgere is no official document stating in detail what i owe... you are trying to collect over the phone and with an email, there is no official document discriminating and justifying these extra money you are asking for. IS a fact yes that you owe me a new washing machine and that if any other amount is taken from my account I WILL PROSECUTE YOU!

I totally regret meeting that company... luckily I went to the bank to ask them to refuse any recurring payments from them as they have my card details... And the bank confirm me that there were recurring payments of 232£ but refused because i had not enough balance to cover from my account. ....

luckily I havent any available as I always transfer it for another account I use for !!!!

KEEP YOUR EYES OPENED AND GO ASAP TO YOUR BANK to refuse any recurring payments. They claim I still owe them no matter what service I hired. Well thats not true. I have all documentations on file.

You can remove my review!!! What I'm saying here is real , my own experience such as bad... I'm still waiting for their invoice from their debt collector to take all the documents to my solicitor and finally Prosecute them! Thank you anyway trustpilot for letting me make this review even though is being blocked by van plus itself!

I give them one star because I couldn’t …

I give them one star because I couldn’t find half a star. Let me tell you if you book don’t cancel. They won’t pay you back your money. It’s in the terms and conditions just hidden. And they said they won’t collect your money until you have moved your stuff. ITS A LIE. Immediately you give your card details they take your money. Thieves I tell you. DONT DO IT.

DISGUSTING AND DODGY SERVICE

DISGUSTING AND DODGY SERVICE - NOT EVEN SURE ON LEGALITY

Don't understand how this company can get away with it,

Was on the phone to them for twenty minutes as they did not want to hang up while I confirmed with my husband. i Actually hung up before they completed payment and they went through with it anyway. I tried to cancel the booking but was told they would not cancel.

Was then told that the delivery would be at 1pm, but this was actually the time that the piece of furniture was being picked up so had to rush to get someone in to receive it.

The driver then went 15 minutes over on the job taking the initial £48 quote for the hour to £73 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Wasn't made aware of the additional fees until after they had taken our money for the booking.

Have tried to dispute but haven't gotten anywhere.

SERIOUSLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE THIS 'COMPANY'.

I found Van Plus service to be excellent

I found Van Plus very easy to use. The site pricing & booking system was very straight forward & efficient

A happy customer

I wasn't quite sure what I was doing, as I'm not very clever with the internet, but I requested a call which was very helpful. They also texted me details of my booking ref, and a contact number in case I needed to get in touch.
On the day of delivery they rang again to keep me posted on progress. The driver was punctual, helpful and friendly. I'm happy with the service I've received

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Don't use the company. Get a local van service yourself. It's impossible to have any kind of dispute with this company. They charge RIDICULOUS charges if you go over your time (£40 per HALF HOUR) and it's impossible to speak to someone. It's all through a live chat which then directs you to an email service which of course is a "no reply" address. I will NEVER use this company again. Their prices are much higher than a local service would charge. Cut out the middle man, they clearly make a fortune off of overtime. Disgusting.

Terrible, terrible company. Do not use! Let me down on the day. After being 1 hr and 30 mins late!

I have never reviewed a service provider on a public forum but feel that I would be a disservice to others if I failed to let them know about this terrible company. I booked a van and two men to help me with my move on Oct 28 at 2pm. The storage place I was going to had a cut off time of 4pm to register and was 10mins down the road.

With the help of a friend I moved my things all downstairs to a courtyard.

At 2pm I received a call from van plus saying that they were still locating drivers and they would ring back and provide an update in 5 mins. They rang back in 25mins and informed they could not find a van with 2 men so had unilaterally downgraded my job to one man. They did not inform me of the cost implication of this or let me know when a driver would be ready. I was obviously angry, explained my situation (with the storage place) and the person on the phone hung up on me.

I tried to ring them back but they simply would not answer the phone. They are staffed out of the Phillipines and have no idea what’s going on on the ground.

At 3.30 they rung back and told me they didn’t think they could provide me with a service.

I had to get in an uber, register with the storage place and take another uber back home and find another removal company. All the time I had to leave all of my possessions outside. I was lucky that a friend was willing to wait with them (and that it did not rain!)

This is the worst company I have ever used. They harass you with calls, are incompetent and let you down when you have booked. Please don’t fall victim to them.
