I really wanted to like Modern Milkman, but unfortunately I’ve now been disappointed by their fruit and vegetable box twice.
My first $30 fruit and vegetable box arrived with no fruit at all — mostly corn, a head of lettuce, a MINI cucumber and ONE tomato that went bad
In 2 days. I contacted the company, explained how disappointing the box was, and their solution was to give me a credit for only half the cost of the box toward a future order.
I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try one more time.
Today I received a new fruit and veggie box. I wish I could attach a photo. Once again, I cannot find a single piece of fruit in it. I received corn, potatoes, onions, kale and herbs. That’s a perfectly reasonable assortment of vegetables, but it is not what I would expect from something specifically sold as a fruit AND vegetable box, nor does it feel remotely like $30 worth of produce.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that this happened immediately after I contacted the company about the exact same problem. I used the partial credit they offered, paid to give the service another chance, and essentially received a repeat of my original complaint.
I love the concept of a local produce delivery service and was genuinely hoping to become a regular customer. But after two boxes, two disappointments, and an inadequate resolution to the first problem, I can’t justify ordering again.
If you advertise a $30 fruit and vegetable box, customers should reasonably expect both fruit and vegetables — and $30 worth of them.
It’s back to the farmers market for me!

order was delayed and was never informed on when it would be arriving. My order sat on my front porch for i don't know how long so I had to throw out half the produce. Won't do it again, should have been refunded.

I was just saying how much I missed the idea of fresh milk being delivered to your doorstep like the movies! Haha! I was so pleased to have met the two amazing reps in the cutest milk/cow outfits literally promoting something so anticipated. The quality of milk is SOLID and the experience I've had with it both in cooking/baking and overall health has been noticeable! The milk and eggs froth so much more, so breakfast or morning muffins have a beautiful rise! The blueberry yogurt is nice and thick, and makes for a perfect spread on my rice cakes. I can't wait to try all of their other yummy options!

Great delivery
Even though our milk is delivered in the morning when we are not home, they place it in our cooler and it stays nice and fresh! The chocolate milk is delicious and many of their other products

I love getting the items to my house…
I love getting the items to my house versus going to the store. Every product that I have tried has been great. I like that they have gluten free items because I have Celiac.
